Spider-Man general || even in his first appearance, Peter's first use of his powers are not heroic, dude is entirely self-serving in that particular scenario, if not for the events of him letting his uncle's killer go and the guilt of that chain reaction getting to
Ben is just the biggest thing that influences him tbh ||

The take here being that any mention of Uncle Ben being Peter's motivation is a red flag, is just utter bullshit

Yeah, also ||I feel like a lot of newer spidey fans are using the MCU to establish what Spider-Man's character is like. They don't really have the history to contextualize his relationship with Ben|| @modern lichenSpider-Man general

||I also think that story will be part of the inspiration for NWH, and we will see Ben again|| Spider-Man issue 500/ NWH
