Yeah.
ok sick
i was like ik one person there is black i just forget who
kinda bummed rami malek isn't dr fate i think that woulda been a great role for him
sorta
Yea
He's my favorite in Leverage so even more excited
i wasn't super excited for it tbh when i heard about it
then i heard more and saw that teaser and i was like fuck man
realizing i gotta go through an entire winter and summer to see it
AOEOAOEOAOEA!!!
When is Aquaman coming? Early 2022?
dude it actually wouldve worked
wtf
Oh
tho i think one movie is gonna move
4 dc movies 2022 to my knowledge
aside from dc super pets
and if im bein real i think it might be flash
bc aquaman in december is so nice
i forget it's cold i swear
and i have a great time
lmaoo
actually i think it'd be fine
the flash movie november 2022
aquaman december 2022
more movies the better idc
but i think a lil gap can be good
Damn still more than a year left
batman-march
black adam- july
flash-november
aquaman-december
idk when blue beetle and zatana are coming out too
black canary too
I should read DC stuffs... Don't recognize any of the three character you mentioned above
they're not too too popular
blue beetle and zatanna are fairly popular
same black canary from birds of prey
good characters as well
yeah
Ah
i really hope the fact they're gonna be hbo max movies doesn't mean they'll be bad
i wanna believe it's gonna be a place for not as mainstream heroes for a good footing
fingers crossed
then eventually lead into big movies
Yeah
waiting on the day we get a teen titans movie
inevitable like no way
idk what aquaman 2 is gonna be
but i hope in 2 or 3 we get aqualad
he's ||black manta's son|| idk if this is from comics but this is from YJ
it's just a want and i think it'll happen eventually
Ah
8 more days
I am so apprehensive about DC's next films after whatever Wonder Woman 1984 was and what I've seen of The Flash movie. The Batman looks like it could be great but we will see.
I know I'm late but i watched first episode of legion today.
Legion so underrated
Felt like I heard about that show before
Its amazing so far, 2 episodes in
Anchorman 2 ||these mofos really smoked crack on live tv ahahahahaha||
Anchorman 2 ||omg look at all these cameos I fkin love the brawl
||
Anchorman 2 ||LMFAOO THEREβS EVEN A MINOTAUR π€£π€£π€£||
Reread
Nah I will probably sleep for today and tomorrow and start Poirot from Sunday
Ah

RoW ending || "The life is my death, the strength becomes my weakness, the journey has ended" π ||
Now you can theorise about the RoW || death rattles
||
Yooo
Gonna finish of WOR and start off Edgedance immediately after
Pog
Poooog
I am actually interested in going back through WoK and WoR and see what all foreshadowing I missed
I am pretty sure I missed a lot in WoR, I was just so hyperexcited for the whole book
But probably later

I am not reading for at least a week
row ||In WoK Shallan has a lot of cryptics following her, and in wor pattern is sure she is gonna kill him ||
@copper phoenix what should be my next fantasy series target since I am mostly done with cosmere
Yeah but all that was already explicitly mentioned RoW so no point ππ
RoW ||Pattern hums at lies too
https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/513312224048185345/888897225965568090/SPOILER_SPOILER_unknown.png ||
Stormlight upto RoW end ||I had always been confused about Pattern because he had acted like a new dumb-ish Spren when he first bonded Shallan but that shouldn't have been the case if he had been bonded to blade form since she was a kid||
RoW ending ||Yea she only started the bond in wor, but they become more and more human over time, which is why syl got depression now π ||
Upto RoW ending||I had just passed it off as a quirk of him being a different kind of Spren||
RoW ending ||I am sure Syl and Kal will pull through tho||
RoW ending ||I have a really strong gut feel Kal gonna die tho. In book 5||
RoW ending ||I just hope it isn't worse than that||
RoW ending ||im sorry to tell you but in ob kaladin tells shallan he wishes to shrug away pain
||
Urrrh read mistborn quickly
RoW ending ||Yeah ik, that makes me even more scared||
Row ending ||Tho i do think dalinar is gonna sacrifice to save him ||
Tell you what
I wouldve said Malazan but it's longer than Stormlight already

I have wanted to read it again anyways but didn't want to commit the time
This will work it will barely take me a couple of hours to catch up to you ππ

Yeah I had got that lined up too. I am actually gonna lean in that direction because it's a little slow and heavy read
I had started it and stopped at like 50 pages or something because it was too slow
Isnt it like quite dark
Yeah but maybe if I go slowly it will work out
Malazan is probably the darkest big fantasy series out there
Don't go at it like Cosmere
I hate myself for not being able to enjoy dark stuff, it cuts me off from such a huge chunk of content
π
Yeah obviously not
The darkness within Malazan world is earned
Erickson worked as an anthropologist and that shows in the world of Malazan and how the world and characters evolve
Read the cosmere novellas aka
I just get so engrossed in books jt affects me irl too so I try to avoid dark depressing stuff
Nah need a break from cosmere
I get engrossed but once I'm out, I'm oit
I read 2.5Mish words of content in like 35-40 days
That's a thing I've had since I was young and what helped me read a variety of stuff
Definitely need a change of scene
Yeah it's hard for me to get out of stuff
Read PG Wodehouse or something
Good comedy
Or yeah, just go about with Poirot
Nice change of pace and scene
I read Wodehouse as a kid ig I should give it another go
I found it terribly boring then ππ
Yeah for sure, I will watch Poirot until I am tired of screens and then start reading something again
I really love the adaptations by Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry
Maybe I will switch to thrillers or something for a book or two
Yeah, read the Magpie Murders then
There's a new Brad Thor book that was doing well on the bestseller lists
Or go for classic Japanese detective fiction like I did
Bestseller*
Ohhh? What is that?
Japanese detective fiction that featured a lot of locked room mysteries and traditional detective stories. Featured detectives like Kosuke Kindaichi who's the Japanese national detective character
In the list I sent of the books I've read, it's there
You might like discworld as well aka, its absurdist light hearted fantasy
Couldn't find it in search
I have read the first book
Didn't seem all that drawing
-Honjin Murders
-Inugami Curse
-Decagon House Murders
-Tokyo Zodiac Murders
-Murder in the Crooked House
Ahh aight
Discworld is so fucking great
Think I have enough stuff to work with
Is there a better place to start than color of magic ( first book )?
I have heard too much about him but I genuinely didn't really get into color of magic
Well some are
Read Small Gods then
Alright ig, I will give him another go
Well fed what I mean is that Discworld is not a series like Stormlight or Malazan
||Still one of the best scenes to introduce a character. Can't wait to see no time to die. https://youtu.be/LcgG_E9gQJM|| Skyfall
Bond (Daniel Craig) meets his new quartermaster (Ben Whishaw) in SKYFALL (2012). Filmed at The National Portrait Gallery in London, the painting they are admiring is J.M.W. Turnerβs The Fighting Temeraire.
Wanna go see the movie now that I've got some time off before stepping into my next project
Do it man
π΅οΈ
True!
Or of not even day after
Season 12 of doctor who has an episode called spyfall
True!
False!

Skyfall is so good
Casino Royale is my favourite Craig Bond film but Skyfall is just incredible as a middle film
But Skyfall brought Bond back to his roots
Casino Royale is
Wow I didn't know any of that and I have watched all Craig Bond films ππ
Sir Roger Deakins now π
But Skyfall takes it for me
It's just action thriller for me ππ
My condolences
QoS and Spectre were
Spectre was fine
So I'm expecting no time to die to be

Heard it is pretty great
Yeah, Spectre wasn't as bad as I'm making it out to be
But it was definitely a step down from Skyfall for me
What makes a bond film a "bond" film tho
Spectre is nowhere near the movie that Skyfall is
Uhhh. Okay my criteria is
Like I genuinely want to know
Great antagonist that offers a challenge to bond, witty dialogue, great action, gadgets that make sense for the type of story being told
007's team, his gadgets, the music, his classic car, his cleverness and world-weariness, you know this man isn't a rookie. He's the spy
Skyfall captured this almost perfectly, and Spectre carried this on (albiet in a less obvious way)
I also think Spectre tried to copy MI5
Casino Royale established all of that when he was just beginning as an agent but it was such a great beginning because it carried all the thematic weight into the spy Bond became
The one I liked best was casino royale, though I don't know the first thing about Bond
QoS began having problems because it went right into it as soon as Casino Royale ended
But yes, without Casino Royale, none of that throughline would've been captured that well
Maybe I should watch them again in order or something
Robbed all of the impact of the previous film but none of the panache
Or read books lol
Quantum of Solace was that way very much on purpose I think. ||Bond was grieving and going through a whole character arc||
Casino Royale and Skyfall are companion pieces imo
Skyfall is really about Bonds resurgence as a spy
Him looking at his own obsolescence
I do love how much time off the bond franchise took between QoS and Skyfall
To kinda show "hey guys, Craig has really grown into this role"
And that this particular Bond isn't a rookie anymore, he's like. In his prime
I'm hoping in No time to die we see the twilight
But we'll see
Yeah, how great is that opening shot with him coming into frame with the single ray of light on his eyes
Deakins snapped
I respect No Time to Die for really establishing in the trailers that Bond did leave the business for a bit
And he was allowed to settle down
But this feels like his endgame
And I hope it is a good send-off
Skyfall || each location has a different color tone and a distinct tone within the story reflected in the color palette itself ||
I heard it's a great sendoff so I can't wait to see it
Also, Skyfall || how great is Silva as a villain, just incredible ||
The fucking best
Blofeld ain't got nothing
Unfortunately I haven't seen any of the non-craig bond movies
So I can't compare it to any of the older ones
But of the 4 I've seen
I'm comparing to the blofeld of spectre
||I do like Rami Malek quite a lot though, but I honestly feel like Silva left huge shoes to fill|| Skyfall
For sure
Skyfall || https://youtu.be/xMOYiV7hUR0 || what a fucking scene
The scene in the James Bond movie "Skyfall" where Silva and M meet again and Silva shows her what hydrogen cyanide does to you.
Creeps me the fuck out
The only thing I don't like about Skyfall is || the use of the girl who leads him to Silva, poor girl had an abysmal past and it hurt me seeing her treated like that, especially the scene in the bathroom which fucking sucked, only scene I disliked in the movie ||
|| life clung to me like a disease ||

malazan
On a second thought, nah
The novel I was suggesting had just butchered the story in the later parts . had completely forgotten that
@hoary hawk Did you watch the Ted Lasso season finale yet?
Yes. That was a bad choice
I didn't like that direction they took with this plot point
Wut
(haven't pinged you cz idk if you mind pings or not)
It's a reference

@modern lichen some pics of the batman legos are leaking
might wanna avoid for potential spoils

u think disney gonna make it hella PG doe?
Everyone just got one of those toy hammers
that would be very unchad
yea im not a big fan of unchad stuff
I agree, it might keep itβs dark undertone but we wonβt get the same level of violence
whats the most non PG disney project thats even released?
Marvel stuff
I mean it's a Marvel character. Just imagine it'll be the same as what they're currently putting out. π€·ββοΈ
the only thing they'll need to tweak from the netflix version is the cursing and blood tbh
it was deadpool
even blade is going pg apparently so better not expect too much
pg blade just sounds like joke ngl
source?
source?
big if true
humongous if fact
Anyway I was reading up on the Iron Fist production and the show runner they got is famously bad. Prides himself on making shows really cheap.
They basically gave Fin enough time to either learn his lines or learn martial arts
why would anyone pride themselves on that
Poor guy
Cause he gets a lot of work that way. Its really dumb but investors want shit that costs nothing to make and makes money.
yeah iron fist was stupid
out of the defender netflix series DD was the best but Jessica Jones was my second favorite
so hella excited for that return
|| though they can leave trish out, thanks || jessica jones
i sorta enjoyed iron fist when he wasn't iron fist yet lol
just a bum and even then it was eh then got bad fast
yea i honestly prefer bums
overrall I liked the first season more
but ngl I was kinda interested in seeing what s3 would bring
Honestly, I think I liked the first season of Jessica Jones the best out of the lost, even DD.
But DD was better overall obviously.
yeah DD is the goat
jessica jones s1 was goated
season 1 I think
i mean from those shows btw
?
oh DD?
Season 2 DD
yeah DD
same
oh its soo good

been heard about that
good times when netflix just launched banger after banger
iron fist was trashhhhhhhhhh
Watch Season 1 and forget the last 2 exist
feels like ages ago
though
i never got through the first 2 episodes of season 2 of JJ
it wadnt even bad per se i just forgot to watch
which came first on netflix DD or Jessica Jones?
netflix still releases good shows doe, i feel like theyre more international now doe
DD was by far the first
i remember that shiz when it came out 1st szn
yeah netflix needs to work on their american stuff
the international ones are really good
for lack of better terms
I dont necessarily want Luke Cage or Iron Fist back... but I wouldn't mind || misty and colleen || they were great characters
luke cage kinda lost itself season 2
yeah i didn't really care for season 2
Scrap Luke Cage and Danny and just give us Heroes for Hire series

I hate you, Disney
F
it was better than s1 imo
i need it
bad
|| When Max and all the girls meet, there was some random interactions that just got me πͺ || Mad Max Fury Road @dense frigate
oh
|| but then ut went bonkers || Mad Max Fury Road
Fury Road is goated
Yeah, I exaggerated, it felt like the whole beginning but it wasn't
one of the few movies I've gone multiple times to the theater to watch
Indeed
Nice
i never went multiple times to the theater to watch a single movie but the one movie i rewatched many times purposefully was Inception
I went to theatres twice for Endgame. A friend paid got the second time so
I saw Fury Road twice
People here watching top tier stuff now
Love to see it
Fury Road is absolutely one of the best action movies ever
And for a movie that didn't have a script per se it has some genuinely great character interactions
And payoffs
TUC Ep 11 ||Most devastating attack in this show is the slap lmao||
TUC Ep 11 ||My man Mo-tak finally got all his memories back

TUC Ep 11 ||Wait wtf they killed off Ms Kim

TUC Ep 12 ||Eternally suffering

what is TUC

You don't know me π
My mom is obsessed with letting me know what she's watching every single day
TUC Ep 12 ||Lmao this operation or whatever is so over the top||
Squid Games put K-Drama's in the cultural zeitgeist
They went international with that one.

Sounds kinda based
Why monka'ing Goro

TUC Ep 12 ||Lol they put water bottles in the suitcase instead of the money. Now we get malding Shin pt 2.||
A boy over a flower huh
Interesting
I was watching Descendants of the Sun on Hulu but my sub ran out and I can't be assed to renew.
TUC Ep 12 ||Yikes baseball bat to the behind
||
Hulu has k dramas?
Idk why I thought they didn't
Thatβs a name I havenβt heard of in a long time

I have held myself back from making a Riverdale video for as long as I could. I am sorry.

I love this guy so much
Didnβt think heβd cover that show
His upload schedule is truly an enigma
Riverdale gets so much attention for how interesting of a dumpster fire it is man
You guys hear about βThat 90s showβ which is supposed to be a spinoff of that 70s show and has red and kitty in it also
I think itβs coming on Netflix
It's honestly the worst show I've ever seen
Yo Harsh Poirot is so good
The lead is just so terrific
And the music is just brilliant

The plots are also really good too
Christie is a master of mystery
Tad predictable, but the suspense is really well done
She's such a good writer
The early stuff is like that, the stuff later gets more complex
Fair enough
Still, the lead and the score are the standouts
Also feels good watching in the old 4:3 ratio

The screenwriting and cinematography is also great
At first I was confused lol
Well I am not enough into live action to judge that so I just don't lol
Like I don't even know how you would rate that so I just go by whether I enjoy it or not
For a TV series produced with limited budget, the framing and composition does wonders for the visual storytelling, which works well for a series like this which tells mysteries
btw harsh do you remember whether that series had adapted Dead Man's folly and Death on a nile too or not? π
They did

It's so long I am pretty sure they adapted everything

70 EPs is a lot
The lead doesn't change does he?
have they changed stuff due to which one couldn't just watch the later ones?
Like 1989-2013 is a long run time, wouldnt be surprised if some actors changed
Yeah
I have only watched like 4 eps I think? And so far no they seem pretty much standalone
David Suchet played Poirot for the entire run
There are two parters and stuff like that
ah. would probably try Death on a Nile first as I remember the whole story of it vividly
have fun aka
From the accents to the body language, he's just gooood
Stupid discord taking an eternity to send a message

ah
Bruh ππ
lol pasto
was lookin at my other screen n the tab wasn't even up...
1234Os, mpy grr;omh yjod djpe
my old password was so random that people wouldn't even believe if I show them..
My passwords are whole sentences xD
yeah its just "I am not feeling this show" moved one step to right
Hard to guess exactly and length makes it relatively difficult to brute force
yeah
you may all have my passwords
Whatβs your favorite story? And Suchet was great in that role.
orient express
1 week to go for the Batman trailer I can't fucking wait bro
knowing i have 1 shift to go til fandome is gonna motivate me
i'm gonna watch fandome on the tv
or at least parts of it bc it's an all day thing

yep
sick good chance i'll have my room set up by then
cant wait to stream it too
i'm gonna avoid this chat and twitter prolly until after i watch the fandome
hm
yeah
hope i can get my shit set asap and just watch
fandome is usually through its own thing yeah?
i can't watch it on YT?
Mine as well. Thatβs a good case.
Also liked the murder of roger ackroyd
for sure
these books or
on dc fandome website
strictly?
idk if you saw my ping last night or if it's even true
but i think it is
but if you see anything involving batman and legos look away
bc 90% chance it's not the older ones but about the movie
i saw it, i'm not gonna check the news on the internet at all
dude, it would ruin my month
would ruin my life
these next 5 months better fly by
They better fly past or I will riot

On my block s4 || the ruby x jas relationship just feels bizarre ||
On my block s4 || wasnβt too big on it ||
this one is going to be a paranoid thriller from oppenheimer's point of view
i'm pumped for murphy's lead role
oppenheimer was quite a character
Gonna be interesting
The two I remember of them together is Batman begins and inception which are like top films of the 21st century or something
Like block-blockbusters
I am excited to see what they do with this
Ohh I haven't seen Dunkirk
Ik he's the lead in peaky blinders and is really hyped, but haven't seen that either lol
His scarecrow in Batman begins was terrific tho
On my block || felt the way season 3 ended, the whole show couldvβe stopped there ||
Heh maybe if I get tired of Poirot
Question: have you finished the season yet
Poirot's not binge-able tho
No not yet
After 2-3 eps I felt kinda tired of it
It's one off stories I don't think you can binge more 3 episodes
Yeah
Also, two parters are there
Those obviously you watch at the same time
But yeah the one offs you can't really binge
On my block s4 || also i agree s3 wouldβve been a good ending to the series ||
I really like the late 30s setting though, it feels so organic
Some movies and shows that try to set in an older era end up trying too hard or something idk
On my block s3 finale || all the conflicts just felt wrapped up at the end ||
Like it feels kind of forced and fake at times
I rewatched Detective Byomkesh Bakshy yesterday, shit was good
Poirot's setting feels pretty natural
Really loved the accuracy to period detail
I haven't watched that lol, maybe I should
It's a very good mystery thriller
There's a lot I should watch but I get too easily tired of the medium lol
I can't binge 60 hours of shows like I can binge 60-80 hours of novels
Dibakar Banerjee has an eye for framing and composition that not a lot of Indian film makers have
Except for maybe Ray and Mani Ratnam
And also Balu Mahendra
And KV Reddy
That's a lot

We have a lot of great film makers and visual storytellers
But yeah, eye for composition and framing, Dibakar Banerjee good
Also Aka, watch movies by Satyajit Ray
Paras Pathar
Aparajito (Part of a trilogy tho)
Charulata

Tho I guess you have already
@copper phoenix
I may have but I don't remember ππ
Like I said never been into the medium that much
The first movie-thingy that I actually got into was anime
Always been more booky
And video games too ig, but not relevant here ππ
Ah
I saw it, not every exciting trailer but it's cool to see the scene animated
Stormlight generic ||Man I wish someone would animate Hoid's stories||
Didnt look like a trailer to me tbh
also I can't help but notice they kept mat's screentime to a minimum here
Yea last 3
I'm wondering if they're going to edit to keep him less prominent
tbh he isn't really that relevant in the early books
so maybe the actor switch wont feel jarring
Might have added some filler
the "sad" part is that mistborn is more likely to get adapted than stormlight
Just send him to an alternate dimension and bring him back from another alternate dimension
Actor switch explained

actually there is one in-universe explanation for the actor change but that's spoilers
but it would be the ultimate meme
Damn lmao
Im sure mistborn being adapted will start the chain of adaptations
Is it confirmed though?
He was writing the screenplay himself
And are they adapting the novels or a new companion story?
I'll believe when I see it
He stopped tho, but he mentioned movie stuff meaning he is still working on it
And he wanted a good director so he said no a lot
Might be time
Stormlight is just too big for adaptation until it's finished man
I don't want what happned to GoT to happen to Stormlight
When was the last time Hollywood did fantasy series properly
LoTR
Yh
Yeah ππ
But is it hollywood
Am I a psychic or what
Lol
I like mistborn but it isn't something where I feel like an adaptation is needed
I'd enjoy it for sure but idc if happens
now stormlight is another beast
Proper adaptation then it would be enjoyable, even bad stuff
not sure about being bad
(not saying Mistborn is bad or anything)
I can't handle the cringe
He wanted a movie trilogy
I don't think we gonna get anything eragon level
brando is too protective of his babies to let them butcher it like that
Was Eragon movies so bad? Ider anything about the movie
Well id want to have warbreaker adapted before stormlight tbh
Kind of like a test run
I think the eragon movie took 1200 pages of material
Adapted maybe 100 pages
And yoloβd the rest
I don't think any fantasy novel series is getting adapted anymore unless it finished after what happened with GOT
Ted lasso s2 ep 8 || that scene with Jamie and his dad made me tear up man
, the punch was satisfying but seeing roy hug him really hit hard ||
if they decide to I hope they've learned a valuable lesson
which is, you can't fix everything with CGI
@outer tulip when are you starting Leverage btw?
good question
uhh... definitely sometime after I'm done with On My Block. Which I should be done with today actually
Ah
Short answer: yes
Full answer: yes
Lol
The eragon books were nothing special either
Read it when I was very young. So can't say
The movie made me realise the books weren't so bad

I used to think it was top tier fantasy lol
Before I read real fantasy
I finished legion S1 yesterday and i wanna recommend it to all of you, it was soo good.
Way too underrated, like i haven't seen anyone talking about it.

Nah Warbreaker spoilers ||At the part where Vivenna gets roasted by Vasher for not realising she'd essentially been kidnapped and used to start a war||

TUC Ep 16 ||Wtf not the truck spot again||
TUC Ep 16 ||Finally its over||
On my Block finale || I'll miss this show. Love the growth in the characters and you really get a feel for what they've gone threw. The friendship was super genuine and had it's fair share of sad moments like Olivia, Oscar, Monse's mom and Abuelita... I like how the series ended with them all being childlike like in the first episode ||
On my block finale || on a more critical note, I think the last season was just okay.. I still don't get who killed Spooky and I think we should get an idea where the Roller money was hidden... not to say it needed another season, but they could've covered. otherwise I liked it β€οΈ ||
It's a good show the main characters were good and I liked the story too
My expectations weren't high tbh I thought I wouldn't have liked the show but I got hooked on to it after I finished ep 1
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Ep 1 ||Welp there goes her career in dental big L||

Got a Cool Ass version of Grimm's Fairly tales for 3$
real nice and got all the stories

American gods chapter 19 || Man i didn't expect Wenseday to be a traitor, maybe i read the book wrong but i never saw it coming at all. Also still unsure of shadows connection to the native americans, it seems like he might be one and thats why he talks to the buffalo and the Tribe thing Whiskey jack mentioned but idk at this point, its almost over and it seems irrelevant. ||
gonna finish this book today
30 more pages
Finished it
good book
|| I like this book alot, also im glad i was right about hinzelman either being a god or some kind of murder or pedophile and that he was a Murdering God / Kobold. I like the conclusion with all the small things shadow left undone, like saying goodbye to sam, cneznborg hitting him in the head, seeing Chad mulligan again. Also liked shadow meeting the "Real" odin back in iceland and not his american form ||

i can talk
Yooo I just watched Poirot S2 E1
The first 2 parter
God dammit
incredible
Poirot S2E1 parts 1+2 (Peril at end house) ||Duuude the shit at the end... It was wiiiiiild man.... Couldn't predict any of it, not one single thing god damn. The twist with Nick and Maggie and the aviator, god damn. The way literally everyone involved was guilty of something or the other. The way it was all teased throughout like right there but invisible... Just brilliant man.||
Brilliant man
I can finally appreciate why Agatha Christie is such a legend of mystery.
Now watch the murder on the express train
I am watching it in order
Season 1 was good, but nothing on this level
It had like a couple of brilliant episodes and the rest were alright
But this was just stunning
Absolutely thrilling
Titanic || I never knew what true love was, until I saw Rose jump off that life boat ||
Spoiler tag it dude
Now read the book of it too

I was actually considering whether I should drop the series and switch to books

Harsh says the adaptation is truer to the books so ig took his word for it
The books are great tho
But nah, I like this guy's French accent and his expressions so much
I am sticking to the series
The adaptation after a certain point changes things
Oh
The adaptations get darker in tone and explores topics that Christie merely glosses over
are you talking to me?
Oh
Nah. It was for harsh
Nah
oh ok i saw nothing in between our messages so I was hella confused
Lol
It was a good meme though
Should I stick to the series or go for the books?
I don't think I've seen anyone talk about that movie here
I am just daunted because it would be a lot of books
Watch the series
On my block S1 E1 ||Poor Jamal getting forced to do something he doesn't want to and doesn't have the confidence to say no to his dad
||
I'd only recommend to read one certain book. the rest of the adaptations are fine.
I was wondering what all the hype was around Squid Games so I finally decided to watch it.
I'm on Ep 2 and I'm already in love with this show
its the GOAT!
I went into it with kind of a negative view point though
Cause the concept is very similar to a different horror movie called As the gods will where a high school is subjected to children's games where if they lose they die.
I love that movie so I was scared this was gonna feel like a cheep rip off to me
But the characters, the drama, the set designs are so beautifully made
It also satisfies my sadistic side with violence
ah gotcha... yeah the show is somewhat a guilty pleasure
I seriously hope nothing bad happens to the old guy
Like I'm sure something bad is going to to happen to him
He's so wholesome and happy
yeah he's good vibes
Akira comic ||the coloring just feels so good||
Which one specifically?
love, death, and robots. S2 || This season is really cool just like the first. The first half was def stronger here tho. Really loved ep 3&4 playing with the themes of immortality and how they were presented and directed. christmas ep had huge adult swim vibes lol. not sure what the msg of the giant ep was, but it was interesting to say the least. guess ill rewatch later to try and figure out what it was about||
|| really in love with the levels of production and different mediums ||
