what i think the green knight is about ||so i think this movie at its core is about impotency. overcoming impotency and the compensation after you are not impotent anymore, within the context of the movie its a story about an impotent man whos mother casts a spell to try to make and make him not impotent anymore, or when viewed in another lens: more brave.. theres a shitload of sexual undertones all throughout the movie. the green belt represents his impotency and his being coddled etc, the name green knight itself can allude to that. green like greenhorn, amateur, rookie, etc the green knight aka the impotent knight. when he "ran away" at the end, what he actually did was see his life flash before his eyes if he were to bitch out on his word , he would still be impotent at heart (the head getting cut off the end of his life anyway) and everything he did after running away from the knight was him overcompensating for that lack of bravery/potency, doing the whole set-up bride thing instead of actually being with the girlfriend who loved him etc. i feel like theres a lot to unpack in the movie, and the most happened in the last 20 minutes lol and some may not even have my interpretation at all but thats at least how i interpreted it|| @pale tapir @modern lichen

the green knight ||the themes are pretty out there even at the start, gawain has nothing to his name, he has done nothing of note because he doesnt have the internal bravery and being impotent takes a heavy toll on him. various opportunities are given to him and he finally get it at the end.. he's scared of his impotence, thats what the girdle represents, its the subtle visual keys that make it more ambiguous and at the end, after seeing how his future would pan out should he maintain the same attitude, he realises how he should adapt his inner bravery and he truly becomes a knight and gets ready to sacrifice his life for the bargain||

Rewatched Winter Soldier with my GF (first time for her). Incredible movie. Best MCU film. Wish we got less super hero movies and more genre films about super heroes.
