||Alright, so the mom that us viewers see throughout the whole movie is actually a doppelgänger. The real mom is the doppelgänger that you see in the end of the movie and with the doppelgänger version of the family. You find out in the end that the real mom was kidnapped by the doppelgänger mom and switched places. In the end the doppelgänger finds out the truth that she’s the doppelgänger but doesn’t say anything as the families drives away revealing how many of these doppelgängers there are.||

That’s a crazy turn of events, the part where I’m confused is that in the beginning of the movie the mom that us viewers are shown is that she’s having PTSD of her traumatic memories from the place she was at when she was a kid. But that doesn’t make sense to me, because if that’s been the doppelgänger the whole time why was she overlooking that memory ? ||

||That’s the thing, the directors didn’t wanna show us that she knew about it. Throughout the movie there’s key bits that show she still had memories and knew damn well about the doppelgänger and shit like that. My mistake about before, had to correct that she always knew she was a doppelgänger. Like for example, there’s many moments in the movie that show she still remembers. Like when the doppelgängers first showed up to the house and the mom immediately was the first one to go ape shit and get scared.||
