The problem with the comics for me is that Garth Ennis doesn't truly have a hold on how much stuff he shows when he's trying to make a point, he goes overboard with all the themes and does such crazy stuff that it doesn't make it enjoyable for me to read

He just goes too extreme and the craziness with his approach eclipses the feeling of what he's trying to approach in terms of the themes of the story
