Speaking of GoT/Ice and Fire for a second I actually heard a really interesting fan theory in relation to the Kingsguard member who tried to kill Tyrion during the Battle of the Blackwater.
Because for the longest time people (and Tyrion himself) assumed it was Cersei who ordered him to do it, but I heard a really convincing argument that it was actually Littlefinger behind it given that particular KG member's ties to the Vale. The theory basically eliminates Cersei as the one responsible because in all of her POV chapters in both Feast and Dance she never once lamented being unsuccessful in trying to have Tyrion killed at the Blackwater. You'd figure given how much she hates him that she would if she was the one who ordered. The main reason LF is the one who should be looked at iw because Tyrion was Master of Coin at that point and might have been closing in on finding out that LF had been embezzling funds from the crown with no one knowing.
I've also heard Varys as another candidate but I'm still leaning towards LF being the one.
