She seems to be the true villain of the series, after all; but now with her in Mia's custody (for now, maybe she'll escape), maybe Mia will learn a dark truth about the Church and they become friends again to accomplish something greater related to the "Crown of the Moon." Also, what awesome worldbuilding to have people not know the concept of the moon even when the true night falls every couple years. Really like this second book a lot. ||
