Per episode on a normal schedule. If a big American company tried strong arming their way into the front of their production schedule that would probably jump another 100k per ep easy. But that's realistically going to cost more as the demand for Animation stateside isn't as big the audience they get with traditional audiences

Also, there's no mandatory Rebecca character in those series like Cyberpunk had negotiated in, so I doubt they'd want to do something without more creative control

if anyone's the bad director at trigger it's the gridman guy akira amemiya, even then i feel that's too mean

yoh yoshinari is a fantastic director, art director, character designer, animator... he's like one of the most polifacetic talents in the industry rn. maybe he's not the best writer but even then he writes some really charming characters

the best projects are always when yoshinari and imaishi work together though obviously i think they compliment eachother really well

trigger i think is one of the few studios still championing original works, imaishi and yoshinari are like the forefronts of that

but the studio is cultivating other directors now they can do some adaptations as well

but the absolute stuff idk if it's a good fit, personally i find those comics kinda stupid and hideous

absolute martian manhunter however that'd be dope, maybe a good fit for studio 4c

but i could see it getting adapting by a french studio if anything

Elio ||it's so obvious the setting of the movie was a military camp until the last stretch of development, cutting that to make it a boarding school is baffling because half the premise is nonsense now||

Elio was cute, ||second half was stronger than the first half once the film stopped tripping over itself with last second rewrites and paper thin characters acting like toddlers so they could get all the pieces in the right places.||

||Movie takes on way too many ideas and doesn't quite weave em all together, felt like it was using constant flashing neon lights and a rapid pace to mask how hollow the bulk of it was. Complained about the worldbuilding and cast before and those criticisms still stand, the movies foundation just is not there and all the polish in the world couldn't mask it. Which is surely because of the late stage rewrites but I can't really speculate on what the film originally was because apparently that draft wasn't coming together either and also because I cant watch that movie.

Which is unfortunate because its heart was clearly in the right place. There's moments here and there where you can see the pieces finally clicking, the radio scene where strangers from across the entire globe call in to help Elio's mission is the best scene in the movie for that very reason. Felt like I was actually watching a film in that moment and not a thrill ride.||

||Elio himself is a baffling character because he's a lying, rude, bratty coward with a victim complex until he feels bad about it and then immediately swaps over to being this very sociable, brave and charismatic kid once his problem is resolved. His development is so rapid I got whiplash and I don't really see him as all that relatable for kids in his alleged position?? I've been that awkward kid who couldn't make friends at camp and chased escapism to cope with it, I'm in my 30s now but I remember what it was like. Elio was just an asshole.

I've heard they gutted a Coming Out story from this movie and while I haven't fact checked that I honestly believe that because it lines up with his character motivations and actions throughout the film better than the actual script does.

Also Pixar needs to grow out of their relatable middleschool beanmouth nerd kid phase these characters are all blending together||

Rhythm of war end ||it’s my favorite book so far. Just has by far the most frequent and strongest character moments. From navani working her way up to becoming a true scholar, raboniel finally giving peace to her daughter, kaladins 4th ideal, shallan accepting that she’s strong enough to bear her pain, venli changing to become a better person. I could go on about the amount of characters that developed. There were some things I didn’t care for, like the whole science and fabrials part, but the interactions between navani and Raboniel made up for it. The dog and the dragon is one of my favorite chapters in the series, as are the chapters were kaladin broke down completely and the one where he swore the 4th ideal.
The climax is probably my second favorite behind oathbringer. That one just can’t be beat. There’s lots of interesting tidbits now.||

RoW end ||I kind of appreciate this book because its a little smaller/slower in scope like similar to TWoK. I love the setpieces of WoR and OB but I think it's nice to have these more character focused sections. Raboniel and Navani is one of my favorite relationships in the whole series. I think sometimes Brandon can have a bit of a tendancy to hit the same notes with these characters throughout this series since they kind of have dealt with the same issues throughout the whole series but this book probably has most of my favorite stuff with it. Like Kaladins tower stuff disagreements with his dad and the general hopelessness of the tower situation||

I think its regarded as being one of if not the weakest in the series?

Movies script and atmosphere was brilliant enough for me to handwave the toned down queerness of the whole thing and the very very obvious, tacky additions stapled onto the story in its place lol

(And how the effects KINDA let down the premise but it uses the omnipresent narrator to explain what's happening to cover their ass, which is forgivable for an 80 year old film. ||The picture often being described instead of shown worked fine for me cuz the reveals you do get are the best scenes in the movie, but everyone else not visibly aging around Dorian was very noticeable||)

But yeah it's always fun to experience the original version (sorta) of something that's been homaged and parodied so many times that I often forget there was a source material
