wouldn't argue that for Ice and Fire in general
Fire and Blood b||ut this is a history book and it's quite cartoonish||
|| the hightower and targaryen succession shit that started from that point ||
Hotd ||bro this is episode 9 XD||
HOTD/Fire and Blood ||The show kinda butchered numerous aspects from the books tbh. (blood and cheese, Jace’s portrayal as a character entirely, etc.)||
that's the end of season 1
Oh was it
Make sure y’all are tagging episode and season numbers pls
then well it had 80% good season one
how can you say it didn't get a good season when you like the first season
well I didn't say what happened XD, just responded
but edited to be safe
HOTD S1 ||To be fair the Hightowers never wanted to sit on the Throne themselves. They just wanted to elevate their family and be the puppet masters, so to speak. I don’t think any of them wanted an actual Hightower on the iron throne.||
HOTD/Fire and Blood ||blood and cheese is awful in the book. They actually took a mindless shock value moment and made it mean something with Helena's choice. Now Jaherys dies solely for his gender which highlights the toxic nature of this society much better, and we don't get the edge-tastic dialogue of your "your mom wants you dead" to a 2 year old who won't understand it and won't live long enough for it to matter. ||
Maybeeee
what I want is that part really lost me
And there had been other parts before I wasn't a fan of either
HOTD/Fire and Blood ||This is pretty true tbh but alot of book fans would disagree with you. That and the book fans disagree with making Aegon II (Alicent’s son) a sympathetic character but they both make sense tbh.||
HOTD season 2 -- read only if you want ||if it makes you feel better, they clear up the misudnerstanding in the first 3 episodes of season2, but by then it's too late. Also the misunderstanding does not matter. It only colored Alicent's motives, Otto and the others would've forced the issue of Aegon's cornonation no matter what, they say as much.||
HOTD/Fire and Blood|| I don't see how he's sympathetic in the show. he's a monster who has children forced to fight in a pit and files down their teeth and grow out their nails so it's more fun to watch... including his own children. He's also a rapist. He suffers more in the show and we see what shapes him and his insecurities... but that's just because the show made everyone a person. Alicent, Cristen Cole, Aegon, they're all cartoons in the history book, they're actually tragic and understandable people in the show... despicable people, but yeah. ||
HOTD/Fire and Blood ||I'm sick of change = bad thinking. Also the book has multiple accounts of most important events and plenty of events that would've happened in private. There's no ultimate book versioin other than head canon. ||
Maybe I'll give it a try someday
I really want to watch Dunk and Egg tho
Hopefully it's good
I encourage you to, assuming season 3 and 4 are good lol
HOTD S2 E1/Fire and Blood ||I think he’s sympathetic in the show because of how much they seem to push that Aegon is the way that he is because he was neglected by Viserys and Alicent. They also made it very clear that Aegon never wanted the throne. They also kinda show him as a sympathetic character cause after he gets coronated, he genuinely tries to be a good king (that scene where he’s hearing petitions) and is shown as actually really loving his sons in that first episode of S2. Season 2 opening they really tried to make Aegon look like a King that was at least “trying” to be Good.||
first half has been, barring some HBO crassness added
Let's see
depends on how annoyed I am with first ep of s2
gotta do with mid fantasy until Stormlight gets adapted
HOTD S2 E1/Fire and Blood|| right but this is like saying Hitler is a good person because he famously liked dogs. I agree they make him more of a 3d person. But him trying to be a decent king isn't for the people but his own ego. he's chasing the acceptance he never got from his parents. When they were all cheering him at the dragon pit. He loves his son... as his legacy. He pays no mind to his daughter. And he can't even tell them apart. That should tell you he doesn't love his son, he loves what he represents. The dude is basically an even more insecure Joffrey. Dude kills all the rat catchers and apoints cole on a whim.||
||btw the fact that we have anything to say about him in the show is a win, because there's nothing to say about the book version. Aemond is even better in this regard.||
HOTD S2 E1/Fire and Blood ||I mean I totally agree with you, he’s done too many absolutely heinous things to even be considered sympathetic but that’s why book fans are kinda angry about it cause of how irredeemably evil he is, there’s no point in really trying to make him look like a character you can feel sorry for.||
||But there are moments, to me at least, that are clearly attempts from the writers at trying to veer the hatred of the audience away from Aegon.||
HOTD Fire and Blood ||it's funny because the more common complaint I see from this is rhaenera and alicent being white washed, not Aegon. This complaint is silly to me. The dance of the dragons in the book feels like a story not worth telling tbh. This adds what makes Ice and Fire interesting, internal conflict. Vows and societies' expectations warping people into monsters. Human heart in conflict with itself.||
||I don't think it's perfect, but I cannot fathom how the book can be deemed objectively better in this case||
it's pretty funny though, I'm usually on the other end of this
I think the Ice and Fire books (at least the first 3) are much better than GOT season 1-4
but here? I cannot understand the reasoning.
Someone here has read the poppy war right ?
Me and Qbz
Short answer, you won't like it
Whyy
finished 2 scream movies so far
Twin Peaks S3 end ||I agree that there’s definitely something happening there on a more implicit scale, in regards to Audrey and the show nodding towards the fact that they’re fictitious (Audrey being called to dance to a song titled “Audrey’s Dance,” from the official Twin Peaks soundtrack, which in itself acknowledges a specific moment from the show’s original run). But I also think there’s stuff happening to Audrey that we’re supposed to interpret more literally, as it’s applied to the actual context/narrative of the show. Audrey shares a line with The Arm, where they reference the story of the little girl who lives down the lane. Audrey also shares some similarities with Diane that I think have to be considered if we want to understand what could possibly be happening to her. And I think it’s sort of clear that she’s been duplicated, similarly to Diane, or that she’s maybe living inside a dream of her own creation that she then finally wakes up from. The major implication being she that the real Audrey suffers from a major psychological disorder and lives somewhere for insane people. Her tragedy is banal, but it’s certainly in the form of an acknowledgment that she’s no longer the Audrey from 25 years ago.||
I liked the premise of the poppy war and it started out good but I found it frustrating as it got later on into the trilogy
HOTD and Fire and Blood || it’s still mindless shock value in the shows and Jaeherys was going to die for his gender in the books anyway because it was always a son a son. Part of the reason why it’s so shitty is because they took away the attention of the blacks first truly harmful act by having Alicent and Sir Criston sleeping together while it was happening for additional shock value and it’s just so silly ||
I disagree completely
HOTD Fire and blood || they make Aegon more incomprehensibly evil in the shows than in the books, the writers have no intention to make Aegon “look better”. At almost every point in the show they change a book scene to make Aegon look worse. They created an entire character for Aegon to SA, they changed a coordinated team effort between Aemond/Aegon and Criston in the books into Aegon drunkenly and suicidally driving his dragon into a fight with Meleys ruining things for everyone. They make Aegon constantly bully Armond something that once again didn’t exist in the books. Aegon is almost always the scapegoat moron in the show. And they’ve set it up that way||
Twin Peaks S3 ||Oh god that's a sick explanation, I really need to rewatch and consider that angle. So tragic too. ||
Twin Peaks S3 ||Mark Frost wrote a book called the Final Dossier, which helps contextualize some of the happenings in The Return. Which, to be clear, I don’t think Lynch cares at all about, or even considered, but it’s still a useful tool when deciphering and mulling over the potential meaning of the series. Anyways, I bring it up because Frost writes stuff in the book that is later vindicated by the series itself, like Audrey marrying her financial advisor and Mr. C doing some very uncool things to her that result in the birth of Richard, but there’s obviously a lot more going on. A big hint is that the production documentary reveals that Sherilyn Fenn was wearing a hospital gown during the filming of Audrey’s final scene, which is an implication that she’s in a private care facility, which begs the question of “well, then what the fuck is happening during the scenes where Audrey’s clearly not in a facility?”||
I need to get this book wtf I didn't know about this. Also I feel like an idiot for not putting 2 and 2 together with that last detail haha
Twin Peaks S3 ||I like to think of Audrey’s arc as a vague inversion of Laura. Since dualism is a big part of the show’s tone and structure, Laura’s tragedy is dying young while Audrey’s is not dying young and instead growing old into a lifestyle that’s contrary to what we ever expected of the character during the original run. She fails to realize her potential, likely in large part due to external circumstances happening around her that she had no control over. But, yeah, I definitely think there’s some weird link to the Black Lodge there just because of the similarities between her and Diane and the fact that she’s one of the only characters who recites a phrase that the Arm also uses||
I also don’t own it
I should probably look to buy it somewhere
fake fans the lot of us smh
I respect Frost’s contributions and would even propose that they help edge some of Lynch’s commitment to mystery out in a way that’s beneficial to the series, but it’s just so clear that Twin Peaks is at it’s greatest when Lynch’s vision is imposed. Like, even the Final Dossier brings it’s own reliability into question, because the concept of it’s existence is antithetical to the point of the series’ ambiguity
Which I say to sum up the reason as to why I haven’t considered purchasing the book. Primarily because I kind of already understand how it contributes to the show without having read it by virtue of conversations with other people and personal investigation

WAIT WAIT WAIT
In the intro to each episode - each character snorts after getting announced, Daddy pig ALWAYS goes last because his is the loudest.
Now in the scene - Mummy pig always reacts shocked by the sheer volume and Peppa physically moves backwards due her size.
George DOESNT REACT AT ALL.
If George has been partially dead this whole time - it would EXPLAIN his lack of reaction each time. That or standing next to Daddy pig every day for the intro has lead to him developing hearing issues.
(Apologies for low quality picture)
QRT: DiscussingFilm
Peppa Pig’s younger brother George has been diagnosed as moderately deaf.

Now I'm sad
that's something that will be good for teaching the kids watching
They are selling lynch estate items lol
@raw gate
I saw. The shirt would be cool
Way of kings 28 || finally we get some Jasnah content, good chapter, I am so tempted to go wiki diving and learn all about the prashendi but I will be patient, their mystery is so interesting. Also, I wonder how Dalinar’s resignation will impact things, my gut feeling says Adolin is gonna fuck things up due to inexperience and not having the guidance of the visions. The visions did say to trust Sadeas and I doubt Adolin is gonna do that
. I don’t like Navine, or however her name is spelled, leave dalinar alone you old hag .. ||
twok 28 ||navani hate
||
?????????
btw you should def not google any stormlight characters or their wikis since you will get spoiled ruthlessly (speaking from experience)

stormlight all ||I don't like her moreso because of rhythm of war but I'll still encourage the navani hate||
????????????????
TSA ||that’s the book where she’s the best at????!! What?????||
TSA ||arguably the best part of that book with her and raboniel???? ||
Did we read the same book bro
lmfao
TSA ||her entire plotline just didn't connect with me in the slightest||
||I couldn't care less about her dilemma on whether or not she's a scientist or whatever, and it annoyed me everytime she started bringing it up||
||her trusting raboniel after she explicitly told her that she's not on her side pissed me off aswell, but ngl at that point I was genuinely hate reading so I'm not holding that one against her too heavily||

I still need to like wind and truth do you like it
Im gonna read it after the blade itself
no clue I haven't read it yet
told myself I'd read it after I reread the first 4 books, then I procrastinated, procrastinated more, procrastinated even more, and now I'm in the middle of lessons so I don't have time
HOTD Fire n Blood || also for some reason they made him illiterate in his own native language lol||
Yup my Google and YouTube and Twitter searches are clear of any stormlight content
I plan on not getting spoiled on this story
no shit larian won't be involved, hasbro owns the ip lol
I got a small spoiler just gooogling a name to get the right spelling
Just from the suggested searches didn't even click on anything
First trailer for ‘THE DINOSAURS’, a new documentary series narrated by Morgan Freeman with visual effects by ILM.
Releasing March 6 on Netflix.
Show me scientifically accurate cg dinosaurs
I'm there
It doesn't look half as convincing as prehistoric planet but as long as early reviews say it's accurate that's all I give a shit about
I can deal with obviously fake cg for something replicating prehistory
Id rather have more sources
after seeing the skull of a hippo, I think its impossible to have scientifically accurate dinosaurs
It's always a science in progress but we know a lot about muscle tissue on dinosaurs now
It's not just shrink wrapping anymore
Not tagging this these are real animals
Helps we have stuff like this now too
Knowing more about our own fossil record informs a lot about the stuff that's speculative
(hi Im bon and dinosaurs are a hobby)
lol
Everyone in my life asks me why I didn't become a paleontologist and the only one I personally know is still studying her PhD cuz she has no job prospects and it validates me
sometimes you just want your hobby to be a hobby and not your job/life
My highschool kept giving me biology awards like it was a gaslight
Lol
Maybe I should have become a Paleo artist but those guys are so knowledgeable it scares me
They're like yeah we know 300 bones on every dinosaur this excess piece of rib is clearly a ceratopsian
I'm not about that life
HOTD /Fire and blood y||et that all results in a much more intresting character to follow ngl||
HOTD and Fire and Blood ||it's not quite the same. The book version has another boy who could have died, so it undercuts the dying just for gender aspect, and adds in a pointless sophie's choice moment, that's just there to try and up the edge. Also having Criston and Alicent togther isn't for shock there.... we had seen them sleeping togther before, It was done to highlight Criston's sullied storyline, where he failed his duty again because he was breaking his oaths. Which is amazingly followed up on when he lays in Eirke next epsiode projecting and being like "your cloak is soiled sir, blah blah" --- Cole and Alicent are so much better realized than the cartoons from Fire and Blood. ||
My sense of reality is godam awful because the one in the top looks so much more real to me
James gurney going ham with AI kinda left me slack jawed
Wait has he
Wow that's a fall from grace
I've met that man
I expected better of him
---Actually I guess it's completely unsurprising that someone as old as him, with a process as rigorous as his and who's always paying attention to scientific advancements in the field, would fall for the grift
He's like the perfect consumer for it
He'll probably come to regret it in due time
Gurneys a true and unapologetic artist and I'll never have anything but respect for someone who showed me his shitty home movies cuz it was a novel new frontier for him, just gonna call him a fuckin idiot in this specific case
That’s cool you met him what was the occasion
icl i'm a sucker for dinos no matter what 😭
maybe i'm showing my age , but do you guys remember like a long time ago the discovery channel did like a documentary on Dragons
i can't remember if it was Discovery Channel or Animal Planet
@sand cypress the blade itself ||that fenris reveal council chapter
shit made me lock in ngl||
Lady Snowblood is a masterpiece 😭
HOTD ||I didn't like the relationship btw the queen and ser criston
It doesn't make sense for his character idk why they do stuff like this always, ser criston was ready to kill himself for what he had done in the past it makes no fucking sense for him to sleep with his queen when she saved him from dying and gave him a purpose. Ts pisses me off||
new KOTSK today
Already dropped I think
Just ask me instead of googling
I'll be yall's Stormy Lighty wiki
noob mistake
balding gate is getting a hbo show
without larians involvement apparently
what could possibly go wrong
Did a talk at my school about the creative process
One of my favorite movies
Its finally time for me to binge
A song of ice and fire house tier list based on enjoyment
Ngl greyjoy should likely be A
im surprised how few of thes i remember
There are 50 i dint put here
From the other kingdoms
😭
These were just the ones that came to mind
Mistborn book 2 ||Chapter 18|| ||Wow, I was very wrong about The Watcher being Hoid. Man, this Zane dude is a fucking bastard. However, he's at least self aware and wonders if Vin can "save him," which seems to indicate he wants his insanity with "God's" voice to disappear - perhaps there's redemption for him? He and Elend's dad on the other hand, fuuuuuck that dude. I mean, I already felt that way about him, but getting his POV was nasty. This book definitely has more going for it. It's bigger, badder, with more POVs, and room for a bit more subtlety; good job, Brandon. Although, not sure how I feel about the Terriswoman, it's like she kind of got shoved into the story as a plot device to make Elend more respected and presentable as a king to his people.||

Against my better judgement i went to my local bookstore
I ended up buying catch 22
sounds like it truly was a catch 22
You couldn’t even define if you wanted to
“U-Um its actually—“
I thought it was just another word for a tough dilemma
isn't catch 22 like "damned if you do, damned if you don't?" situation
like no way out, stuck between a rock and a hard place
that sounds a bit more right
i fell like i said in 50 words what you said in 1. i might be an idiot
nah cause a tough dilemma doesnt imply that both options are negative
so you're more correct probs
No this is a more apt definition
yay go brain
anyway you either get no book or the book you get is catch 22
did you finish frankenstein wombat?
The guy i was talking to said all the characters in the book are nearly characters he himself met in the army
Yes
pretty decent
oh that reminds me I should update letterboxd with the mid anime movie I watched
Very beautiful writing
Cosmic?
ye lol
I just watched Interstellar for the first time holy peak
At least you made it through
it was an arduous journey
i watched interstellar for the first time when it rereleased in theaters and i decided to watch it on a whim at the very last showing in imax at 11pm
it was lowkey life changing cinema experience watching that in imax
religious ass experience
Did u become an astronaut
AKOTSKs ep 4 || it took 30 minutes this time... smh smh||
AKOTSKs ep 4 || incredible end to the episode, next episode is sure to be peak fiction ||

@foggy mirage finally getting time to watch Nope today
this seems to be his most controversial movie 😭
I thought that would be Us tbh
alright this is controversial
but i didn't really fuck with Us 😭
it was a good movie but after Get Out i expected something different
Way of kings 29 || Szeth’s new master is trouble.. also part 3 is titled “Dying”, and seems to focus on Shalaan and Kal… WHOS GONNA DIE. I wonder if Szeth will kill Dalinar, or maybe Adolin ||
last argument of kings ‼️ massive trilogy spoilers ‼️ || BAYAZ IS VALINT AND BALK?????????????????? WHAT THE FUCK. HE'S EVERYONE. HE'S HIM. THE GREAT PUPPETEER.

giving mistborn a (third?, i think? definitely the last) shot. last time i completed the first book then kinda stopped reading at the start of the second, lets see if i have what it takes this time
my friends dad had him when he was late 40s and we're all 30~ years old now.
His dad is still one of the most active people I know
that guy always has new projects in the back yard somehow
The HARRY POTTER TV series will show “so much more than the books”
︀︀
︀︀We should even see the Malfoy Manor in the first season according to Lox Pratt
︀︀
︀︀“You get to see all the teachers in their little rooms. You get to see Draco at home. I won’t spoil too much about that, but there are some brilliant scenes at home where you start to get an insight into how he is”
is adapting the same source material as the books?
they're adapting all the book material plus adding completely new scenes
probably all canon though I'd assume since jkr is a producer
😭
I think I’m gonna hard skip supergirl my hate for tom king grows exponentially
What did he do
Ik hes ex cia or smth
That’s enough for me
Fair nuff
do you not separate art from the artist?
or is this an exception
Well his art is dogshit so why should I separate it? Every chance he gets he talks about how he tortured people in Iraq
i need to try different Supergirl comics, Women of tomorrow is probably the best one i have seen from a art/story perspective
the others look a bit cartoony
Iron Lung was mid
That dude's gonna be in college while his dad is on life support.
smh I have to do this with Oda every day. Aligning yourself with a hack is hard work.
The blade itself ||Jezal situationship final boss
||
The blade itself ||I cant believe they had situationships in in 2006 this is a huge revelation ||
The blade itself|| “I’m gonna show that bitch Ardee who’s boss and get an apology” and goes straight into simp mode #MYGOAT||
so hard to love one piece when the person writing it wrote something as heinous as one piece
😔
Id respect Oda more if he wasn't such a pervert
Bro you're in your 50s and have kids learn some shame
Have u considered a panties gag is funny the 29th time
All my characters don't wear pants now cuz it's fashion
Sometimes nami feels more like a blow up doll he shuffles around from scene to scene than an actual character
Idk if i would consider it THAT bad
egghead outfits and gunko make me roll my eyes for sure but it doesnt ruin the story for me
Nearly all the girls I know who were into fairy tail, Naruto and Bleach but not OP say it's because OPs women are weird and it feels more like a boys club than any of the others
i do think its a shame cause i can completely understand people who might be offput by the fanservicey elements like that and its such a good story to be diminshed by something so pointless/petty
Granted FT in particular worked as hard as it possibly could to alienate them over the years
@sage remnant KOWAT (SA5) Chapter 8 ||Kelek and Shallan are great, and Adolin being stupid about flying Gallant is great lol

last argument of kings ‼️ ending spoilers ‼️ entire trilogy spoilers‼️ ||Wow, what a book. That ending is bleak. Masterfully written, with a climatic sequence that just keeps going and wraps up each character’s arc beautifully. The character writing is among the strongest I’ve ever read.
I hated Jezal for all of books 1 and 2. He’s completely arrogant, selfish, and vain. I laughed at all his failures. His ascension to the throne felt very wrong. I did not want to like it, and yet Abercrombie changed my mind. Jezal’s struggles with the crown felt very real and in the end I even sympathized with the guy.
Glokta is the MVP character by far. I have never read a character like him and he steals the show in every book. He’s equally charming as he is monstrous. On one page he’s a brutally torturer and on the next he reveals a slight trace of chivalry. I should hate the man but somehow Abercrombie has me cheering for him. It helps that he’s hilarious, self-aware, and rational with his decision making.
Say one thing for Logen Ninefingers, say he's a cunt. Logen is the character that I the most difficult to place my feelings on. He’s a deeply flawed man, trying to change for the better, but failing at it. His story is fully a tragedy. He ends his story the same way he started it- falling, and on the brink of death. The cyclical nature of his struggle is painful to read, and all too real and familiar in many ways.||
A strong compliment I assume
last argument of kings ‼️ ending spoilers ‼️ entire trilogy spoilers‼️||West aka Furious. Not the most compelling character. A horrible brother to start. Every character is shades of grey, even the best of them. West is probably the “most good” character. He takes justice into his own hands., quite literally. We see him genuinely put forth his best effort to do good for his country and comrades. And yet he is not free of the consequences of war in the wake of Bayaz.
Bayaz, the man behind it all. I suspected he was up to no good by the end of book 1. The hints are there. Logen said it exactly right: “Say one thing for the First of the Magi, say he’s a cheating bastard.” But I had no idea of the extend of it. He’s a mystical, larger than life, intelligent, powerful being beyond the comprehension of normal men, acting as the puppet master of all human history. And scariest of all are his very human flaws: greed, pride, hunger for power and control. Just excellent. I would love nothing more than to see his epic downfall.
Ferro is awesome. Nuff said. “’Fuck yourselves!’ she hissed. And with her last grain of strength she forced the box closed.” Ferro has no masters. Goat behavior.
So yeah you could say I immensely enjoyed these books||

@sage remnant I finished it
Im like a little under halfway thru book 1 rn
sure
My app says 44%
i dont read this story but i appreciate your spoiler warnings ❤️
The blade itself ||the mercers guild just got disbanded so we’ll see what happens…||
The blade itself ||liking these characters so far but still tryna get a grasp on the world, abercrombie has been holding things to his chest mostly regarding it it seems like||
These aren’t very long books so I’ll probably have this done in the next couple days
gotta show them the king
the blade itself || Abercrombie's strength is his character writing. Information about the world is kept limited intentionally, as I understand it. That is why there is no map included ||
The blade itself ||ya his character writing is excellent ||
and then soon, the whole trilogy
I never realized how helpful a map was because like I’ll only occasionally glance at it
But it really hells
Helps
I already own it so yeah lol
Well i still need to read wind and truth
But whenever my dad is ready
Not gonna read the final book without waiting for him

Is there a reason latest episode of a knight of the seven kingdoms came out like a day or 2 early
Really been enjoying the show
Shame the episodes are shorter

It seems the apple fell from the tree this time
His favorite fantasy is urban fantasy tho
Has anyone seen Dracula yet?
Ngl this is a compliment
Dude has the vibe needed for mojo
Not his fault non comic people have no clue about mojo
Nobody ever gets this annoyed if you say they could play a mean joker or darkseid
Cause they absolutely meant he looks like mojo and would play him well lol
No one gets mad cause they’re not calling them a fat piece of shit
Wanze
They arent going to flesh sculpt him
To look like mojo
Use some common sense
Nobody looks like that
Same reason they shaped brolin's face
mojo jojo
Wanze being more literal than a librarian at a librarian dating retreat
Mojo is a good xmen villain
excuse my ball knowledge
but i forgot all about him 😭
Xmen 97 - || OH Mojo lol i remember this big mfer ||
Exactly
Yet that’s what fancasts are lmao people will always pick someone that vaguely looks like the character. They could have picked like some skinny small dude or a big muscly guy but it comes down to looks like 90% of the time with fancasts lol
I think you're too deep into normal slop

Carrie - || i hope they do it justice, i would love to get more lore, Carrie was great but felt short felt like something was missing ||
It was his first story
Carrie/firestarter/the institute ||the psychic shit is all connected in the king books. So you get bits of lore in later stuff that ties into it for some stuff.||
yep for sure and i feel like now with retrospective there is a lot more to pull in similar to WTD
Tokyo Drifter ||To put it lightly, Tokyo Drifter is a mesmerizing candy-colored and genre-bending yakuza film that illuminates all of Seijun Suzuki’s talents and idiosyncrasies as a filmmaker and, along with Branded to Kill, cements him as an auteur. The tumultuous structure and chaotic editing of his movies puts him in a distinct realm of unmistakable style. Suzuki’s substance is style, and his movies wouldn’t be half as good without his experimentally stylistic approach.||
Kinda funny how Suzuki’s movies are considered complicated and difficult to follow when, to me, they’re so linear and deal in narratives and themes that are actually rather simple. It’s the visual flair and the playful tone of his movies that make them memorable and unique
Have you seen upstream color
Nope. You like it?
I watched it like 12 years ago I do remember liking it though. It’s a shane carruth joint
There is no chapter called that bro
Hm I had a question about the Avengers and Captain America
Captain America and The Avengers || In cap's film he goes into a coma or whatever for 70 years yeah? Why didn't they make another super solider during like him during those years? ||
captain america ||because they killed the scientist that created the serum||
Ohh
Okay
Captain America/MCU all|| And Hydra did make some knockoff super soldiers ||
captain america/MCU/the avengers ||they do make more super soldiers||
Oh huh
WaT Interludes 1 and 2 ||Two things:
- I knew Felt was sus cuz i remember he was in Mistborn, and it's still insane seeing Kelsier mentioned and be part of the main plot 💀
- I'm rooting for Cultivation||
WaT || bro he was mentioned in RoW lol ||
WaT/SH || Hoid mentioned their SH encounter ||
I know
oh yeah btw
@brave orbit how was the WaT || chullusy ||

that chapter had fandom in shambles

the new KOTSK is so anime its crazy 😭
yo
Mistborn book 2 ||lmfao Brandon is doing that classic trope where characters are not speaking about problems when speaking up about them could solve confusion. Sazed finally comes back to Luthadel to warn about what's going on with the mists. And then Vin just says nothing about the entity she's been seeing nor reminding them of the writings from the journal entries.||
Mistborn book 2 || would you really call that a trope when it's SO prevalent in real life ||
Mistborn 2 ||Oh yeah, it's a trope because it's so known and relied on in storytelling.||
Mistborn book 2 ||But tropes are just tools, they are not inherently bad. All stories are compiled of tropes. ||
ye
that phrase just had that negative connotation lol
to me atleast
Mistborn 2 || I read this book before breakup and that part was so relateable cuz any issues we had was her going like Vin and me going like elend
||
Mistborn book 2 ||Yeah, tropes are not a bad thing. But in this moment, I didn't like it. And considering how dire things are, I would've thought she would have said something. I assume she will eventually do so, but I don't know when.||
Mistborn book 2 || I thought that really suits Vin ||
Mistborn book 2 || She has MASSIVE trust issues baggage lmao ||
Mistborn book 2 ||She does. But I'm not gonna be as forgiving when those trust issues affect possibly the world itself, especially when she knows the final words the Lord Ruler said to her.|||
Mistborn book 1 end ||You don't know what I do for the world. Something like that.||
I'm cool with RAFO
I've heard confusing things from book 1 get explained better
I really liked the characters best in book 2
|| I think when Vin first mentions about this, she has already told us that she had told Elend or smth || Mistborn book 2
so like I think you might have missed or forget that bit?
So far, book 2 feels like an overall improvement from book 1, especially on the nuance and worldbuilding front.
based
WoA || part of why I like it also has to do with some degree of angst and trust issues and internal conflict ||
so idk how much that might work for you
was something I really thought these characters needed
Mistborn book 2 ||I think you're right on that? I'm mostly focused on the moment Sazed was at the dinner table after his journey back. That was the part I thought she would've said something. Oh and then there's that bitch Tindywlings or whatever, I have not warmed up to her yet and she just basically calls Sazed a liar to his face. My poor boi. :(||
man I like reading your takes cuz either they would be interesting or they would match mine

cuz like I had the same reaction of those characters and those parts
well i'm really liking book 2 so far at least
BTW, you may remember me telling you when I picture characters in books, I kind of just make them up in my mind regardless of how the text describe them. So, here goes. Mistborn book 2 ||Sazed: looks like Baron Tamago from One Piece. And Tindwyl looks like a Garuda woman from Zelda. I'm not joking, and I don't know why my brain does this. ||
I can't help it.
stormlight all other than the two novella
and now mb 1
Incl novellas?
Just the main Stormlight books and Mistborn books 1 and now 2 (about 1/4 through it)
Smh no stormlight novellas
Plenty
@limber urchin wya in woa
Tell me for part 2
Need a good stopping point
Or idk just tell me the page
Mistborn book 2 ||Chapter 25. Sazed just came back and had dinner in the kitchens while warning everyone about the third army of Koloss (did I spell that right?) and then having a confrontation with Tindwyl about his duties in the world.||
i see
Words of Radiance ch 32 MEGA spoilers ||Holy fuck. I felt the thrill just reading that. I like the subtle details of the chapter too. Kaladin thinking something was amiss after his dream. Syl agreeing. Dalinar’s trust of Kaladin immediately will prolly make Kaladin and the Kholin clan closer. Because once Szeth showed up and shit hit the fan I was so engrossed. Seeing Kaladin fight with Stormlight and being hopelessly outclassed by Szeth was insane. And then the ending of the chapter made me need to take a break LMFAO||

kinda marvelly lol
but its fun enough its a good time
Beren and Luthien (Lord of the Rings Unfinished Tales novels): ||This story is beautiful and everything, and I enjoy reading about Elrond/Aragorn's, but Beren was kind of a huge loser.. I really don't see why the Valar chose to favorite the two of them so much to the point of re-embodying them from the Halls of Mandos aside from Beren being foolishly brave/lucky and Luthien being "the fairest elf that ever lived."||

Jurassic park trailer 🔥
ANOTHER ONE???
It was a stupid xfinity ad
AKOTSK S1 E2 ||I fucking love Dunk, and Baelor. "Is there no true knight among you?!" 🔥 ||
AKOTSK S1 E2 ||Kind of ironic, considering it's implied Ser Arlan never actually knighted Dunk, yet he upholds the values of one better than most.||
i do honestly believe Mr Robot is one of the most complete and best series ever
Absolutely true
ya it was an xifinity ad and i am like 99% sure it was made 💯 with Sora 😭
Made with Sora can't be that bad
of course you found it boring
why am I not surprised
Yojimbo ||is one of my favorite Kurosawa movies. Toshio Mifune’s performance as the captivatingly badass and endlessly entertaining ronin, Kuwabatake Sanjuro, is, in my opinion, the actor’s best. Particularly because the performance (and film itself, for that matter) served as foundation for the Clint Eastwood character archetype seen in Sergio Leone’s, Dollars Trilogy. Anyways, with Kurosawa, I’ve come to expect the meticulous direction and breathtaking cinematography seen here, but it’s the wit and charm of this film, along with an understatedly memorable performance and the amusing scenarios, that bolsters it to being one of my favorites from the legendary director-actor duo.||
Yojimbo ||I couldn’t tell if Unosuke’s gun-toting was meant to be funny or not, but I thought it was hilarious. Which is only a single fraction of the amount of things I found amusing. Hate to use arbitrary buzzwords like this, but there’s just real soul behind this movie. And I think that sense of passion is why it works so well and why it’s aged with grace||
Yojimbo ||hes supposed to be stupid and menacing at the same time||
Mistborn book 2 ||Chapter 30|| ||OK the meeting with Straff and Elend was great, really liked that scene; it felt soooo good to see Straff put in his place using Vin as a threat. And I guess I was partially right in assuming the mists were the Deepness (well, if Vin's theory is correct). Yeah, book 2 is definitely better than book 1 to me now. I'm also curious if Brandon is trying to lead Vin down a path where she will have a lapse in judgement and cheat on Elend with Zane.||
mistborn book 1 || just got to and remembered this weak ass hoid appearance lol, could've genuinely just been a normal guy and it'd make 0 difference ||
cosmere ||I think that's intentional for the early books, hoid was the character that you only realized was special when you read more cosmere books and saw him in all of them||
||stormlight being the exception||
i think that passion is seen in all of Kurosawas work, it's sort of proof that behind the ruthless action and flawless cinematography there are just people like us
Can’t corroborate that sentiment cause, assuming you’re only talking about his role as a director, I’ve still only seen 8 or 9 out of 30+. However, what you’ve said is absolutely applicable to the ones that I’ve seen. I agree with you
Gonna skip over Sanjuro for now to watch other stuff, though.
This is what I needed to see
I can die happy now that I’ve seen Laura Dern holding a copy of Inland Empire
And I shall
Lemme watchlist it rq so I don’t forget
I watched it last year, I had been meaning to see it for a long time. Didn’t disappoint
It’s a Seijun Suzuki film, so I’ll probably love it lol
It’s legitimately insane you’re going to love it
It’s $20 ish online, usually stores up the prices
Like I found an issue that was $2 at another place for $14
mistborn 1 / WoT || reading this immediately after wheel is wild cause this flashback guy is genuinely just rand and the flashback itself is just the story of wot lol (yeah I know it's pretty generic but still)||
Wait till you watch Lord of the rings
KOTSK E4: ||I kinda feel bad for Maekar. He seems a bit crude, but he's not a bad man, and he's expended a lot of energy on his kids for them to only kinda run off on him (Aerion has textbook 'Targaryen Madness', Aegon ran away, Aemon went to be a maester, and Daeron is a drunk). I was curious to see how he'd be portrayed, but it's rather clear that he's disgusted by Aerion's actions and how cowardly he is to not face Duncan 1v1. But he can't go against his two sons who are in the trial of seven.||
I wonder if the TWOK novel is better adapted as an anime instead of a live action
is there something in particular you feel like would be difficult to adapt?
live action just limits a lot of stuff
if only we lived in a timeline where animation isn't stigmatized
twok || ive only read this first book but it didnt seem like anything present would be especially difficult in live action ||
man somethings gotta be really bad to get a 3 these days when the average is like a 7
i havent read the book yet but is it even that raunchy?
like all the trailers do just look insanely horny
It’s not
The book isn’t raunchy or even erotic
It’s about abuse and violence and class relations
Women already got their fill with heated rivalry
(read it like 12 years ago and it's really not that similar)
honestly surprised IGN is even reviewing this movie lol. Just watching the trailer made it seem like this wasn't really for their demographic
They review movies and games regardless of anything

TWOK part 2 || Syl, CGI syl is gonna look ass, and I enjoy her convos with kaladin a lot. ||
nice
true
Did you read the new standalone novel
I don't have similar pessimism on that, it seems like a very low bar to me. Good cgi does exist
Based on what Apple is willing to splurge on big stuff like Monarch and how the second season looks absolutely huge comparable to what we’ve seen with the films, if it’s in their interest they will spend it
Twok || a small glowy lady really doesn't seem that hard ||
it's hard to not make it look idk funny/cringy or w/e
can't find the right word for it
words of radiance early part 2 || im starting to realize jasnah was what i liked about shallan's pov. oof its kinda rough without her ||
WoR || Usually this is the point where people realize they only like Jasnah cuz of her interactions with Shallan ||
im the opposite i guess
just in minority i suppose
Nah I am with you
Stormlight ||I prefer Jasnah and tbh I didnt find a lot of Shallan to be fun to read. Some of her stuff is good, but she is my least favorite pov||
damn
wor up to ch 13 || i need her to get to the shattered plains soon. idk if i can do a whole book of her travelling ||
opposite
ig
well
I do like || jasnah pov but I don't like her much as a character || Stormlight
while the other is in like my top 5
Stormlight ||I like strong willed characters and I like a bit of edge to them. Jasnah is that. Shallan idk, I guess I didn't really connect with her character as much. I can't for sure say why, but I just found myself being more hyped for other characters. Especially early books||
Stormlight || Jasnah is more of a Mary Sue for me. Shallan's struggles were more relateable ||
WoK||I remember reading a Kaladin chapter and being hyped, like the high storm or his flashbacks or any of that, then getting to a Shallan chapter and being like oh guess we gonna be bored for a while||
WoK || I think it's more of Brandon not being able to have equality in quality of the POV chapters, which is smth I find he is bad at in almost every book ||
You could be right
WoK || Cuz at that point I liked Shallan way more than Kaladin as a character, but I was wanting to skip Shallan chapter to get to Kaladin one ||
It's only in WaT where I think he was able to manage them well
I also just WoK ||dont really find myself caring all that much about Shallan's plot line||
fair. But like if even someone who cared for that plotline and character more than the other wanted to skip this one
I think there's a writing issue there
It could be. And that very well coulda shaped my view on Shallan for the whole series
Idk
Stormlight all || I think Shallan gets really strong as a character in mid of WoR ||
Stormlight is on the heavy back burner for me rn, Ive no interest in Sando atm
I was disappointed by his other Cosmere stuff, but I reread Stormlight last year for preparation of WaT and it's still super great for me
gets the things I want from fantasy right
May I ask like what?
wok || shallan acts like a mary sue, like in her dialogue and how she interacts with people, without actually having the competence to back it up. The fact that shes internally unsure doesnt really fix it for me ||
|| Mostly how the world really reflects the existence of fantasy elements, with how there are cities and places which would only be possible due to shardplates and highstorms. the Magitech. The anachronistic tech elements which is only possible due to their continuous apocalyptic events and the social structure and magic - like they got instant messaging pen and some super high science concepts before systematic agriculture. || Stormlight all
not quite the read I had of the character but in depth discussion would require future spoilers
wok || she comes off to me as very impressed with her own wit and i am less impressed and that delta makes her a little annoying to me ||
|| jasnah was perfect for her cause she was able to remind her that she should be a little less impressed with herself ||
continue your read 🙏
yeah im in for the long haul for sure
with how good wok was, a subsequent book would have to be truly atrocious for me to stop
and these are minor complaints i do think wor is good so far
WoR is most people's fav, but it was my least fav one
it's still gooood
It just has some parts later on which I really really really dislike lol
i like wok more so far but its not really fair to compare 14 chapters to a full book
wok clears no need to change your opinion
You dont like mistborn?
RoW > OB > WoK > WoR
Deal w it
I didn't like it much
HoA is at like 0.5/5 for me
you are almost cooking
What about the secret projects
it's actually RoW>WoK>WoR>WaT>OB
L
sunlit man is so peak
Do you know what sunlit man is...
|| Sig's story || TSM/Stormlight
Yea...
|| post Aux's death || TSM/Stormlight
id probably rank sunlit man either third or fourth on that list honestly
I didnt read WaT fully yet but i can already call this ranking a L
WaT > OB > TWOK > RoW > WoR
honestly as long as you acknowledge RoW as the peak of fiction I don't really care
Better than WoR already from what it looks like
RoW is pretty great
Did you read era 2 yet
I didn't
Era 2 is the only reason i want to read Mistborn...
could've been stormlight 6 💔
Its planned to be that way
I am currently reading mistborn and book one was better than I remembered
Mistborn book 1 is best on immediate reread
but I just dropped during book 2 last time so we'll see
highly doubt it unless we're talking midbreaker
I mean WoA
I know
I'll have my expectation super low for era 2 and 3
and well nothing's hitting for me nowadays anyway
Didnt you dislike scifi
??
Like fantasy scifi
???
Surprised you like RoW that much then
I have super specific tastes when magic like power has been in a fantasy world and considerable time passes with it being common knowledge
Stormlight did it pretty well for me
I am not so hopeful for era2
explaining the magic isn't the problem (although I never really care for it) its the vibe
I love the (RoW) ||Tech advancements with the fabrials and stuff||
that doesn't really register as scifi at all to me really
it's on barely works for me territory
which is kinda among the highest fantasy magitech reaches for me
Cosmere general / RoW ||the idea is that the cosmere gets more technologically advanced overtime, this was kinda a big step towards that, Mistborn 3 and 4 will basically be full scifi||
I did mention not liking Urban fantasy so maybe you conflated that with Scifi?
Mayb
stormlight all || well you're in luck cause seemingly technology is about to get nuked off the earth in the next half as there's no spren||
that's unfortunate
not in luck man
Stormlight all || I WANT magitech. It's just no piece of media does it in a way I am satisfied ||:

ehh not reallyy
Do you not think RoW did it well
So far i kinda miss that on WaT
continue
Yea probs will be there
don't continue actually drop the story
I will do that then
WaT safe for fed|| rn, it's barely been 1 day since RoW and they are dealing with ramification of "sprens can now actually be killed???" ||
good
||Im on day 2 actually smh|| WaT
bro has a kaladin pfp and more than a year after a stormlight book release he's 45 pages into it
220*
is the plan to finish it in time for book 6
Not my fault Brandon publishes faster than i read
I was still reading the secret projects...
reading secret projects when you could be reading peaklight...
but yeah unsafe for Fed [mf really don't click on it]
Stormlight 6 || I'll be hopeful only if in start Vasher will create Mass production of [that thing] by using Logic spren as a frequency generator to create the rhythm and intent is used to start the fabrial. ||
gonna be the OP LA case
man idk what you're talking about lol
It gonna be good i think
nah trust it's gonna be good
|| Stormlight || stormlight 6
I had to go mega tags cuz like this mf fed can't be trusted with spoilers
Im also excited for the mistborn trilogy feature films
I got spoiled a bit anyway sadly
😔
biggest fear currently is the first mistborn movie flops and it kills the entire plan
WaT ending spoilers ||I know that Kal becomes a Herald and that spren die||
🥀
Mf reads 200 pages per second
cosmere stuff || what's the timeline btw at the end of stormlight 5 where are we in mistborn ||
||Before Mistborn 3 I think, then Stormlight 6 is after Mistborn 3 || cosmere stuff
that doesn't make sense
do you know which character is the main pov of the last 5 books fed
Yea
I think the most I can read in a day without being totally burnt out is around 100 pages, unless the book is gripping. Id wager I average 50 pages a day when I have time
so like you know that stormlight || max like 20 years pass between stormlight half 1 and 2||
Yea
so how are we moving from before an era to after in mistborn
Stormlight 6 ||I think its like 10 years||
Idk
Cosmere general ||I guess Era 2 is after SA5, Sunlit Man after Era 2, Era 3 is around 70 years after Era 2||
Tho i dont really get how Era 3 is gonna work
cosmere stuff || I mean youd think that stormlight 10 would be the end of like the main cosmere plotline (that I know nothing about but surely exists) so would be weird if there's a ton after it ||
Cosmere stuff ||Mistborn 4 is the end, with Hoid as main character||
||Tho im not sure if thats the same as his series||
idk if I'm happy about that or not cause I do just not really care about general cosmere stuff
||I know Brandon wrote the secret books to practice writing Hoid for (I think) the Yolen series which involves the flashbacks of Adonalsium etc|| cosmere general
Oh yea thats what it was
||The Dragonsteel trilogy focusing on Hoid will be after Stormlight 10|| cosmere
Very excited for that actually
He already published the prime version of that
Mistborn book 2 ||Chapter early 30s|| ||

||
eyebrows raising
the rizzler
BTW Mistborn book 2 ||Is just soooooooo much better than book 1. it's like a different author took over or something. like, book 1 is good, but book 2 so far is great. granted, i'm only a little over halfway done.||
WaT ch 26 ||each POV is so cool in this book, so much tension and variety, Shallan's spy chapter was super tense with Mraize flirting with the balista/crossbow||
you should read elantris to see what his first book look like
I've read a little of the beginning. I plan to go back and finish it one day.
There will be Elantris sequels, so...
Seems like the plan is:
Stormlight 4.5 novella
Elantris 2 and 3
Mistborn era 3 trilogy
Stormlight 6
Warbreaker 2
brandon should ignore everything but the second half of stormlight
Well he is not ignoring stormlight
i want them all right now
He was always planning to have a bigger gap between book 5 and 6
But i think he wants to release them yearly when the time comes
He should just stop writing
dude is a machine. i wonder how long he can keep this workaholic lifestyle?
he still teaches too
He is learning to delegate some of the stuff he needs to write i think
that makes it sound like he's hiring a ghost writer

Mistborn book2 ||Chapter 45|| ||The Koloss having gold in their pouches was a bit of a letdown, especially after Brandon tried to make it seem like an important reveal - gold was my default assumption anyways, especially after they claimed they were humans (possibly they were before the Ascension; maybe the Lord Ruler cursed them or the Deepness/mists screwed up their biology before his rise to power). And looks like Vin is having doubts and thinking about Zane as an option over his brother; I suspected that would at least get brought up, even if she doesn't go through with it. But one of the funniest plot points I've seen in a while came up last night with Sazed Tindwyl finding missing corner pieces of pages, even in Sazed's locked trunk. I hope Brandon has a good explanation for this one, 'cause it feels dumb as hell since Sazed has that torn passage memorized anyways (unless this is a death flag for him). P.S. Bye Cett, you were introduced in a very dynamic manner, too bad you went out with a whimper (maybe he will do something, however, as some in the group are suspecting). Well, I'm nearing the end, let's see what happens over these next days.||
only one more thought right? I don't need to read era 2 to find out?
'Cause I ain't reading that for a long time.
yeah only era 1
Good, 'cause I plan to dive into book 3 after this one to round out the trilogy. Then it's Salmem's Lot.
Then proooobably back to Jay Kritoff.

for releasing it or starting it?
release
well at least i do have faith in him he'll actually hit 32
unlike some georges i know....
2028-2030 is Mistborn 3 trilogy
atleast it's not rothfuss qbz
I forgot he existed
who fucking MARKETED HIS BOOK SAYING HE HAS COMPLETED THE TRILOGY
and the third book has been in works for a month longer than Winds I think
i guess its not that serious but that almost feels like crossing the line into fraud
he did do some fraudery later
he said he would do a reading of a chapter of Doors (third book) at a fundraiser after certain targets or smth
he didn't do that

i can't even be bothered to read book 2
which is better than his two books
i think i might read dark tower after stormlight
uhh progressively gets more
i do wanna get back to malazan eventually it feels like it would benefit from a reread, you could appreciate so much more, more than any other series ive read
the slow regard of silent things (kingkiller novella)
such a good premise. such a good story
give me more slice of life fantasy
Name of the Wind ||This is the ecentric chick that Kvothe talks to from time-to-time, right? The one with odd mannerisms?||
yes
that sounds neat actually
it is
i should probably read edgedancer and the other one one day
but i can't bother to
The transition between Dawnshard and RoW is very cool
Yeah 6
Nice
Rereading Jane Eyre now
How good is Wuthering Heights?
OK. Perhaps I shall read it one day, then.
That’s the plan

Fuck Cancer man

whoa holy hell. RIP to the man
it's like watching a part of my childhood fall apart
mistborn book 2 || this whole impostor plot line just doens't work with the rules set immediately after introducing it. like it ends immediately if vin dularumins up on one of the mental metals and sees who doesn't react, and even without that literally a one second conversation with any of the allomancers asking them to use their powers ends suspicion of them. like what are we doing ||
mistborn 2 || also we establish its been weeks since they found out about the kandra and vin has yet to sense literally anyone using any of their abilities? huh||
TWOK 47 || I fucking love kaladin bro, my new goat. Bro realized that these shard weapons are just weapons of war, killing, and destruction and said fuck this. This explains the dangerous mark on his forehead, but I am still confused why Amaram sold him to slavery still… This man practically saved your life ||
Ever read Wild Sargasso Sea?
wor up to mid part 2 or so || i been thinking more about shallan since complaining about her yesterday and progressing a bit. Im not sure if its really fair to hold it against her to be using her position of privledge to survive. Like sure im angry that the system exists but shallan didnt make the system. And I probably would do the same in her shoes. Im not sure what responsibility she has if any. I guess to use her position for good when she can, which it seems like shes doing for the most part though theres also some petty power moves and forwarding her own personal interest in there ||
Immediately putting it in the slop factory
But it’s nice it’s only gonna be 4 seasons they’re not milking it that much
its over
The rewatch experience of BB after bcs has been very rewarding. See walter in a different light. On s4 so far
Its been 5 years since my first watch
48 is too young, fuck cancer dude
I can't believe Disney cancelled the Muppets movies after Most Wanted
This one's great
yeah
?
i see
All the regs in the other series channels are just media addicts
Except red he's exclusively an anime nerd, bless him
well, my interests are more far ranging than most people here
imagine watching anything other than mcu slop or battle shounen slop
couldn't be me
Hey, i would not say im a media addict
One of my undergrad courses made us read both. Considering they're the only books i even remember from that course, I'd say they left a good impression. But i doubt i would have know wild sargasso sea existed if i had read jane eyre on my own
jean rhys is a great writer
apt companion to jane eyre
i need to read "good morning, midnight"
books i read this year excluding jane eyre, watchmen is a reread too
Do you have a favorite genre
no
"Everything is Tuberculosis" is so real... They do not shut up about it in medschool, or Epstein-Barr Virus. (I have not read the book if that wasnt clear).
Don't forget it's also never Lupus
my to-read list this year
I read the city and the city by China mieville and I thought it was really good
They made a mini series which I didn't like
yeah i like that one
Business book surely
There are a few really good financial nonfiction
