Superman 2025 || the movie was awesome holy shit. Him and the characters were great, interactions were cool and Lex was amazing, i did expect him to be super villainy and he just did it to perfection.
Even though im not a Superman fan, the movie was spectacular. James Gunn is on a streak of making peak movies, and I cant wait for Supergirl.

My favourite scene is probably the last one of the film where Clark visits his old memories, shows how he was as much as a human as everyone who he protects among Earth/Metropolis 🙏 ||

Wednesday season 2 all spoilers ||I enjoyed it, but now having seen all 8 episodes, it does fail to meet the first season. I think it boils down to simplicity: season 1 had more focus on the mystery solving without many added plot points. Season 2 has mystery solving but with added plot points that tended to make me feel scatter brained at times (and that doesn't even mention that Bruno dude who was a terrible addition as a character). But I absolutely loved getting Gwendoline Christie back even if it felt forced. And any scene with Wednesday and Catherine Zeta Jones (my beloved😍) was a treat. And god bless whoever cast the grandmother and Billie Piper, great work all around from them. Not as good as season 1, but overall enjoyable for what it was. However, I can't help shake the feeling it was far more soap opera feeling this time around. Hopefully, the writers find a simpler focus for season 3, otherwise I might not be able to stomach it.||

The little demons they fight like anime swordsmen are an early red herring for the actual threat of the film and one that gradually falls out of it as Purple Girl starts to understand the situation, even sympathizing with em||

KDH ||I don't think this movie was the place to really assert those criticisms tho? It's about fans learning to accept their role models as real people and those role models seeking to be better role models, singing better music for their audience and marketing their genuine selves instead of a caricature. That's the story told through the films music, and I think it works.

The demons working as a social anxiety works towards that front. I did not need to see the bands investors and producers and their fiscal deadlines, something this cartoonish and over the top just isn't the canvas to explore that story. But I don't think it devaluates what its going for either, because there's enough ambiguity in the film and just enough realness that anyone interested in those topics is ushered to pursue further.

Entry level media tends to be treated as nothing but slop but I think good ones serve an important purpose.||
