And it gave his entire rogues time to shine. It even touched on his DID in a brilliant way. You gotta accept that in these universes forces tie everything together. The same cosmic rays that messed with the f4 is the energy that the surfer uses. All magic has similar sources its how you tie a universe together||

The hysteria, the demons, the way the male boy names are things like baby, romance , Abby (Abbs) is an intentional deconstruction of the hysteria behind boy bands and what they’re more than often reduced to. It’s very disturbing and really is what the movie is trying to show by making the male group literal DEMONS lol||

Anyway, this isnt just me saying "I dislike kpop so I cant like a kpop show". I dislike japanese idol culture and their songs as well, but I enjoy oshi no ko which dabbles in that. That said, my disinterest in this comes from a combination of me trying and disliking shows like k-on, carole and tuesday, bocchi the rock, etc and disliking those. Which, this kpop series falls into the category of. On top of that, I dislike the music which is the focal point of the series. And regardless of what you say, the music itself is a huge selling point for many people.
The difference between the baseball or just general sports comparison is that the interest in a sports manga is more about the spirit of competition and the growth of characters. It provides a similar plot progression to a martial arts manga (martial arts being a sport itself) where you see the characters progress as both players and people. And while this does apply to some extent to these types of music focused series, you also don;t have to sit listen to something you dislike constantly. Sports are much more interesting when you're in the mind of the character and you're getting the game from their perspective. I also dislike watching sports, but thats not how its portrayed here.
But with these kpop series, you still get a multiple minute song you have to sit through which is supposed to be the emotional climax of an arc or whatever and its provided from the same perspective as a viewer in real time etc. You get some drama and internal monologue, but thats also another thing from these series that I dislike. I dont like the "funny" clips Ive seen online. I dont like the faces the characters make (an issue I have with series like golden kamuy as well), etc.
