The narration till that point is so unclear of what it wants to be - switching between the feel that Hoid is telling me the story to Hoid is just writing the story to Brandon's normal Third Person while being introspective of a character (his default Stormlight one) - that any impact that could have come due to that narration change is non-existant. This change usually makes me feel something, mostly excitement, but here the style changes a lot, and change to this narration style is from the third one to this, instead of first and second one that I described. Even for this book, if the narration shift happened from either of those, it would have been not bad ||

It just makes me angry on such a personal level

The style of narration that the book had at the start was like the perfect one to what I was looking for for like 3 years.

@young compass CR C3 ||so the main party encounter the main villain of the campaign, who uncovered an artifact in the ruins of an ancient flying city that stored and recorded the events where the gods of exandria (the world in which CR is set in) helped fell the city about 1000 years before the main story because they dared to go against the gods and developed a weapon to even kill them (the conflict of the campaign is that the main villain wants to unleash an eldritch entity that can eat the gods and the main party trying to stop them), so matt had several of the players and some new players play the gods come in mortal forms and basically play out the story of how they destroyed an entire mortal civilization who went against them, its a very cool little story within the main confines of the campaign and directly ties to it, it was DMed by brennan lee mulligan||

this was about 20 episodes before the finale, lasted 3 episodes (episode 99, 100, 101)

and then they returned to the main campaign to continue

It could have been such a wonderful style of narration but no He can just give us what Tress is feeling, what everyone is feeling, he can narrate with the bias that would come when it would be like Tress POV chapter and just everything. I still feel so robbed. Every line I read from it, I continuously feel robbed ||

Andor s2 e3 ||i generally liked the content of the arc. I saw a lot is people hated the rebel cell stuff going on with cassian but I found it an interesting look at the rebellion before it was more cohesive. I think the weakest stuff was Mon Mothma’s story and even then it was pretty good. I just find the editing in the final act of the third episode a bit weird. I see what they were going for with her losing herself at the party with the drinking and dancing and cutting to the action with cassian and his crew but it would be like 5 minutes of heavy action then cut to 10 seconds of mon dancing then back to the action. It was really jarring lol ||

Anime-inspired cartoons are getting better and better.

Tress chapter 22/Agatha Christie general/Stormlight super general || The narration is making it so so so hard to enjoy or theorize anything about it.
Why is Hoid speaking his parts in "brackets" when he is narrating it. It's not like there's any consistency in like what goes in there that's there in like Agatha Christie. Like the author's comment or like when something is trying to be highlighted in a not-so-subtle masquerading as subtle way (idk how to put it).

This bothered me a lot cuz I can't seem to figure out (or more like agree on) if the eldritch horror comment with regards to Tress's hair is by Tress or by Hoid? Cuz if it's by Tress, then that leads to a lot of interesting things. They have concept of eldritch horrors here?!?! Like so much interesting stuff of how that came to this world's literature or if there are some eldritch horror present before in the story or in the current to have Tress make that comparison. Or am I finally getting influence of otherworlders in the world's literature and beliefs and vernacular after how much I was disappointed by in Stormlight due to lack of it??? All very interesting things.

But it also feels so much that it's Hoid who's making these comparisons. Then it's just tooo boring. But I can't figure out for certain because storming Brandon isn't consistent with this super annoying narration ||

"Costly at this point, but still pricely" is just too vague. Though I think this very much implies that there's atleast a constant influx of aluminium, since it seems the knowledge of it had been very common for years in this world

"From the stars" instead of like "from distant lands" or w/e that was used in Stormlight makes me feel like it is really space age and not your usual Cognitive Realm worldhopping. But then again letters??? In Post 21st Century version of a fantasy universe. That's interesting. I think this is something deliberate for some magic system thingy than just a stylistic choice given Brandon ||

The Blade Itself || Finished part 1. Glokta chapters are my favorite. I think he's a very intriguing character and his plotline is the most interesting so far. Logen chapters are great as well. There's a lot of mystery about him. Why can he talk to spirits while other can't? Why does it seem the person he is now is so different from who he used to be? Bayaz is cool too. The two of them are an interesting duo for sure. It seems like this is the sort of series where the magic system is left open-ended. I'm fine with that but hopefully there's no deus ex machina.

Jezal is the worst. The dude is a prick and just plain unlikable. His chapters kind of drag and they're only interesting when something else is going on like when the Feared was introduced.

I wish there was a map. I like maps. A fine read so far- a little slow in places. I wouldn't say it's fully hooked me in, not yet, but I will keep on.|| @sage remnant

Finished Smiling Friends S1. IDK what it is with me and adult swim cartoons, but I just can't laugh at them. The type of humor is not particular for me (especially don't like ones that use violence and creepy faces for comedy), but I can see how the reaction animations and comedic timing might appeal to other people. Some scenes are pretty meme material I guess. Pretty neutral overall.
