Zuko was still conflicted and the point of betrayal is to show you that despite doing what Azula and his dad wanted and getting everything he wanted, he wasn't happy because he didn't do what he really wanted to do.||

AtLA end || Iroh's and Zuko's journey is like the best part of the show for me, and for what it was, the progression of the healing that Zuko went through in late s2 to then starting to settle down in s2 end before betraying was really well done. Ofc it wouldn't be enough, and I think the direciton it goes into is the perfect one, the way it transitioned between the two really left a sour taste in my mouth||

Dr Who S12E2|| not sure what destroying Gallifrey again, irreversibly(?), accomplishes after how well Moffat had handled it, especially in the day of the Doctor. The Timeless Child stuff is intriguing but I dont really see it ever being worth it. Just feels like Chibnall liked the vibes of the Doctor being inflicted with trauma yet again after she had overcome it. Then as for the episode itself, its really an episode you just kind of have to shut your brain off to like. There's not really anything that Noor Inayat Khan adds, except the Doctor dropping into WW2 times again because I bet Chibnall just thought it would be cool for some reason. She isnt really explored as a character, nothing about her future or history is ever really brought up, she exists. I really liked Sacha Dhawan's performance as the Master, but he's also a very strange character, We are never told when exactly he is from, so you just kind of have to go along with his existence, without addressing if he's post Missy and how exactly things played out from since then ||

Stormlight 1 || Another complaint I don't understand is people being made whenever spren details (like fear spren and etc) are shown in the moments. Calling then repetitive. It's like literally one of the cool worldbuilding stuff here. ||

Stormlight ALL || also do we ever hear a mention of Landslides in roshar? I don't remember and it feels very weird worldbuilding wise to not hear it ||

I watched both versions of 12 Angry Men ||Both are very good in their own right. I like how the story focuses on the complexities of arguments and how characters can abide to their guiltiness verdicts based on selfishness/blind certainty. These films made me think a lot and put a new light on how I view discourse in general. As for which version I think is better, I think the later version is better. Even though I can acknowledge that the original clearly presents its story in a much better fashion, the latter delves into the characters more that makes the expose of flawed arguments and their change in vote more impactful to me. ||

Finished watching Whisper of the Heart (2022) ||I'm not so sure why this sequel needed to exist if it's gonna rehash scenes from the anime film to carry the story. Speaking on the whole, it's not a bad film and has a good message in it about creative blocks and growing up in harder adult times. There is sincere effort put it in, but ultimately, this sequel added so little in its messaging that would justifies this movie's existence aside from making the main romance come true. I can see why this film was forgotten. ||

Jokey & Jokey Deux ||Idk I never felt like it was overly trying to be all society society meaningful message I took the film as a depiction of mental illness, Arthur fleck and jokey. So like, of course from this very disturbed persons perspective they're going to blame it on society or whatever, and we just see what leads up to the decisions he makes, it's not trying to be more than that IMO so ofc when you look you're not gonna find much. It does suck its own Wang a bit tho I agree. and the 2nd film makes it real obv to me that that was the point, cuz Arthur is straight up in that movie "yeah there was no joker its just me man" if you want to say it's a bad depiction of that then I can get around it, but I still really enjoyed it||

And if you dislike it cause it didn't do all that I guess I can understand? But I don't see what's so wrong about a comic book film basically, I enjoyed it

joker 1 /2||the point where it becomes a ridiculous societal critique is the manner of which the movement catches on, that a bunch of people sympathize with his message despite it being basically just wanton killing... unless you mean to say that the movement in movie 2 is somehow revealed to be a figment and not something real, but from every trailer ive seen it just get bigger lol. ||
||is this a fine film as a super villain character study then? in that same vein I'd have liked to see more of a realistic movement forming as it would reflect a character with more poignancy and depth, instead we just get sort of a cliched "he was shunned by society, now look!" conveyed through ridiculous eye-rolly sequences like him walking down the stairs, or that TV show bit, or whatever the hell, and a giant mass of clown followers that we're simply told were downtrodden . ||

Jokey 1 ||nah I didn't mean to say all of that about the 2nd film, you might not believe me but I honestly didn't think too hard about the mob movement, if I had to guess the point is they're a lot of people not too dissimilar to Arthur so they empathized, and a lot of riots happen for very little in real life as well. But yeah Im mainly focused on Arthur himself here as why I liked the movie, when you put it that way I'm not too fond of the mob either. I never personally left the theatres with the mob stuff as my main takeaway and why I should like the movie. And I get that's probably why a lot of people did but I just never really thought about it. I enjoyed it's depiction of mental illness, the tv show bit was a cool climax for that.||

joker 1 ||the reason it does is that it delegitimizes everything. joker isn't a convincing loner or mentally ill person, someone who's dealing with a relatable situation that in any way reflects our society or a reasonable imaginary one, he's a misanthropic maniac that the entire world bears down on almost comedic manner, to a theatrical extent. And if this was a self-contained delusion like king of comedy? sure, fine, but because the "masses" sympathize with his plight, we're supposed to believe it's legitimate and reflective of some greater injustice - which the neglect of mentally ill people in society obviously is, but not to the extent that a singular person like this would cause some gigantic bubbling up of disgruntled figures, and because they also needed to make him batshit crazy, and also a super villain, his behavior is erratic instead of charismatic or emblematic of any sort of movement, leaving there to be ZERO reasons it should have occurred other than that it had to; yet it trudges on with him as a figurehead. the "neglect of mental health" as a driving element is shallow when you need to set up a ridiculous contrived story to enable it, and for this i blame the fact that it's a joker film instead of just an original story||
