Saw Taxi Driver ||I loved the musical score and the downward spiral of the protagonist. It was hard to watch when he went farther to the depths of hell, but the story did a great job in exploring the protagonist wrong sense of injustice. How his isolation and awkwardness lead him to take the path of a "heroic" killer fascinated me even when he had multiple chances to avoid losing his way. It's actually so fucked up how society saw the protagonist as a hero just because he killed people responsible for human trafficking. he killed them in the worst way possible that will only fuel his wrongful ways. It's pretty terrifying how he gets to live on, and in the future he could do crimes far worse than what he did earlier. He's gonna be cemented in my mind for a while.||

Finished watching the Handmaiden ||It was ok. I was very surprised by the romance turnaround and extremely explicit sex stuff (I liked it TBH🥷 ). I personally didn't find the characters compelling, but the adventure of the girls escaping to the cruise ship was tense and gripping all the way through. Only complaint is that story could've presented that torture scene in a less disturbing manner, cause previous scenes showed torture in a less showy way. But it's just a picky thing. ||

Invincible S2 Episode 7 ||Finally, Amber and Mark broke up! 🥳 🎉🎉🎉 I can see the intention with Amber's character with giving Mark leeway to having some joyful parts of normal life outside of superheroing to make the responsibility of a hero become more apparent to Mark, but out of all the insane subplots happening in this series, the Amber relationship was the least interesting. There's definitely gonna be high tense stakes and insane stuff in the final episode. I can feel it.||

And I don't really recall much from S1, but was Mark really that close to Eve for this relationship to open? It just seemed out of nowhere for a Future Eve to tell Invincible that, feels phoned in.
