One of my biggest beefs with Harry Potter is that ||I mourn the complete loss of Draco’s character potential. They pretty much dropped the rivalry and that’s a shame. Draco seemed like he had some jealousy for how close Harry and his friends were while he was never quite satisfied with his own, and I think it could have been a good opportunity for him to grow as a person outside of his fathers’ influence. It also could have helped the different houses come together. Having one house of just the criminally inclined makes no sense. Show off some of the positive slytherin traits, what the heck? It’s not that hes one of my favorites by any means, it’s just wild to introduce him as a sort of antagonist parallel and then go nowhere with it for half the series.
Have a character arc or something, show some growth.
It would have been cool to have him stand up to his death eater kiss ass parents and become a rational person.

More could have been said about the in world politics as well, and Ginny felt like a very empty character considering she’s the primary love interest.

Characters like Dumbledore could have used more fleshing out in the actual series rather than trying to retcon it or put it in a follow up.

Snape also needed more in series than a sad backstory of him being a stalker after he died, because he was still an ass the entire series. The whole twist would have been more interesting had he actually managed to somewhat develop a relationship with Harry at some point that was more amicable than a grown man being petty towards a child.

And we don’t talk about the abomination that is the Cursed Child.

Harry’s whole thing was missing not having good parents, and then he grows up to be a shitty one? Where were the Weasleys when THAT happened, because Molly would have smacked some sense into him- it’s not like he didn’t have functional role models when he lived with Ron’s family half the time. ||

DP3|| I didn't know what to expect from the movie besides that it will have cameos from other fox chars so it was a pleasant surprise. The movie was basically a love letter to the fox universe. The action is awesome, probably the best fights in the entire mcu besides daredevil. Wolvie putting on his mask and massacring the deadpools had my theatre going crazy. They got wolverine's character right as far as comic goes. Cassandra was terrifying, but could have used some more screentime. I would love to see wolvie and dp in the future mcu.||

Watched Batman Caped Crusader and really enjoyed it. It is a new take on Batman and there are some different interpretations of Batman villains like with ||Penguin and Harley Quinn||, I also like that there's some focus on very obscure villains like ||Nocturna, Gentleman Ghost and Onomatopoeia||. The animation style is quite good along with voice cast. I don't know why WBD will allow this show to stream in Amazon Prime though.

Shawshank Redemption was great. 10/10 movie. ||I legit did not expect how good the character-writing was for the main characters. It's got themes that I love (hope beneath a large ocean of suffering), great payoff to a villain, perfect pacing, and a great emotional climax. The determination the protagonist goes through to break out of prison and corner a heartless warden was pretty inspirational. ||
Kinda tempted to watch this again, but with the Japanese dub instead.

This is already a top favorite Western film for me

Finished reading the Hooky webtoon. ||As a story that follows the classic trope of humans vs "evil" species with lots of slice of life bits, I thought it did its job alright. Nothing particularly special in its approach to it, but it did it well. The only straining thing in my readthrough was all the romance baiting scenes that got annoying very quickly. Just made the characters more annoying to me. The only characters I genuinely liked was the princess and Dani. Overall, pretty ok. I can see why this series was very popular on webtoon and got a print release. ||

i saw pulp fiction. i'm on the side that doesn't feel strongly about it ||I guess what I'm supposed to get out of this film is that even bad guys can do good human things sometimes. The individual non-linear stories are somewhat entertaining and it was interesting to see how criminals would get out of fucked situations. Jules and Vincent were the highlights for me in terms of fun characterization. But, I don't have much to say about the movie beyond that. It's certainly a movie.||
