I think that if they use this as a base, they could make Beta Ray Bill a really relevant character in the eyes of fans.
This run made it so clear that Bill is capable of so much more than what his original role was.

And god, the whole run was heart wrenching.

Beta Ray Bill: Argent Star - ||Now when Bill has been said worthy of the "Twilight Sword" I wonder if they'll expand on this... Maybe he'll be the new Surtur? I could see it being a nice contrast of Thor being the king of Asgard, while Bill becomes the king of the Muspelheim. Maybe not this, but I just don't want to see him return to Asgard... I'm sorry but I don't think that he deserves that treatment of being overshadowed so easily... And not even seen for who he is, but who he was. I really just hope that he establishes himself as something of his own, able to see him for the god he is. I don't know what's next for him, but man am I excited. ||

The Boys s4e7 (latest) ||Finished the new ep, it was alright but still, i can't really see where all of this is going. That episode did not feel like the 2nd last episode of a season if it makes sense. A-train again has been the highlight of this entire season, Ryan's little moment was nice. I think sage might end up helping the boys? Neuman might also turn against homelander. This episode gives me the vibe of like an episode 5 or something. I dont get this feeling that we're walking towards some epic conclusion especially as seemingly major things are being set up here. Unless this entire season is a build up to season 5 (which it might just be), it's been awfully slow and anti-climactic (for now)||

He was able to save stillwells baby and butcher from a point blank explosion while not damaging either of them if you remember, whereas, in 4x7 we saw that the deep was even able to dodge a-train, albeit only once||

The boys 4x7||ive been rather A-trains character since he killed blue hawk, and i always figured that he was going to get a redemption arc, so I’d be pretty sad to see him die now that he’s actually becoming an actual hero||

I watched the Asteroid City movie ||I really liked what I watched. Visually, it looked so mesmerizing evoking that sense and wonder seen in early 1950 advertisements. While I didn't quite understand what I was supposed to get from the film, the analyses I seen just now made me like the film more. One part that's consistently analyzed that caught my eye was how people moved on and went home even after the second catastrophic alien encounter happened, commenting on how we just kinda move on and live life even though the event itself is historical. A certain big event happened recently today and it made me think about that aspect of the film hard. I certainly got many things out of this film and had my first taste on what Wes is like, on a meta level and film level.😂 ||

Longlegs don’t click if you haven’t seen || beautifully shot, there’s something about the cinematography that makes you anxious for every single frame of the film, and it was really well acted too. The first two acts were amazing, but I think it kind of dropped the ball in the final act. It felt somehow overexplained with the unnecessary monologue towards the end that spells out the entire plot and under explained at the same time. Nic Cage’s character was great but not quite what he was marketed as. I think this whole film was a bit overmarketed actually. Definitely worth seeing in theaters though||

But yeah, I can see it being pretty divisive but I also thought that it somehow fit well into the serial murders narrative? Idk, I’ll have to think more on it. But I think overall the film is very disturbing in tone so it found a balance. Like, Longlegs himself is some insane and mysterious that you almost would feel as if he’s demonic in some regard anyway||

Probably not for any reasons you haven’t heard the show criticized for before, but

The Boys || has bad writing, bad dialogue, bad shock value, tries to take an interesting approach towards the superhero genre by subverting it but doesn’t actually do much else interesting with the genre itself. Don’t like any of the characters, except Billy Butcher, and haven’t ever been a fan of the original writer, Garth Ennis’, work. ||

Hughie was a punching bag this season but I liked the moment in the last episode about being human. I’m also glad Annie finally got to beat someone up. That was a cool fight||
