I finished 2001 Space Odyssey. ||This film certainly and overly extends some scenes to fully showcase what the future of spaceship technology like. That probably worked for audiences way back, but it's definitely just a poorly aged part now, and would've benefited from better pacing. When the film had HAL as an antagonist and had the protagonist traveling through warped space to turn from an aged man to a mystical baby, it made the film more interesting to watch. My interpretation of 2001 is that it's a story of venturing into the unknown and doing the best that you can to discover things beyond comprehension that could be used for the benefit of humanity. Trust in yourself and the friends you can count on. Come to your own conclusions to make the best decisions to move forward because even people and potential sentient tech may bite you back hard in that venture for discovery. It's probably a very simple interpretation, but it's what I like to see it as, as a character driven series enjoyer.||

This film was definitely a huge inspiration for the Xenoblade series. 🤯

Ivan Aksenchuk's The Little Mermaid was stunning oh my god

Drive My Car || Hamaguchi is often very clinical with his films, I don’t even agree it makes it didactic, it’s the value of visual storytelling and implied dialogue that he uses to make the audience feel like there’s something “off” about the kind of road movie this is. It feels aimless in a sense because we’re dropped into these characters worlds and then while their process of grief is only ever implied by the film’s very languid pace, the pacing also helps with the intensity of the visual imagery and enhances the sense of ennui. Murakami is often very blunt on showing how characters feel which this film avoids by carefully structuring it in a way that the audience has to buy into truly as an experience and then letting it wash over them. It’s not a straightforward corny grief resolution movie that has been seen many times before, I think the value of the film is from how subtle it is not in how didactic it is, it’s about how language fails to truly express human emotions sometimes or even destroys the integrity of honest communication and bonding, it’s also about the value of bonding, of relationships. I really loved this film ||

Kota factory s3||I think the writers attempted to humanise his character, like in s1 and s2 too he was like that figure who was the solution to everything and they attempted to showcase how he is a human too and did have his own problems,I do agree that his character did become contradictory because of the mental struggle he was going through and I absolutely loved s1 and 2 jeetu bhaiya... But yeah I can see people liking this angle as well , cause it's kinda the more realistic one cause yeah people do be moving on in life all the times while ignoring problems cause that's more convenient despite it not being the perfect ideology ||
