So an emissary of the grid recruits Jason since he lead the rangers in the old timeline and proven he’s up to the task, so he gets his memories back from the old timeline. Then Zack and Trini walk in on him by mistake while he’s having this conversation with the emissary so they get recruited too. This is how they explain narratively why the 3 of them leave the team when in real life they were fired off the show ||
