The Marvels || late to the party with this one as I waited for the Disney + release after not enjoying any of Capt. Marvel’s character points in the past film and appearances. I don’t know why it took them so long to realise Carol was a human but at least guilt explains her socially awkward isolationism. Plot was solid, I enjoyed Kamala and her family greatly and now will have to watch Miss Marvel. Overall it was a solid film, could of done with another 20 mins of runtime to flesh out what was happening in places but nowhere the mess I was expecting.||
The Bear s1 ep 1 ||That was.. interesting, well not what I was expecting at all. I'm not sure if I really enjoyed it or not? I heard this show took a lot of inspiration of real kitchens, I have some background experience to know what it's actually like working in that environment and don't feel like it's accurate at all, yes the stress and anxiety is true but it feels so vastly exaggerated and overacted here for drama reasons. The show setup is so great, but the dilemmas that go on in the kitchen don't really make sense to me, the moment that one guy pulled up the gun to get the people in front of the restaurant to leave is where I dropped the ball with the real kitchen discussion. Feels like a more american/edgy showcase of what's it like in a kitchen, granted I'm not american but european, so who knows maybe that's how sandwich shops operate there lol. I don't know if they're trying to go for realism, I don't find the depiction relatable atleast but it's not really helping how it tries hard to be edgy and cool, also taking itself embarrassingly seriously. The constant yelling was over the top chaos, masquerading as good acting performances in my opinion. There seemed to be some development hinted with Carmen but it wasn't particularly interesting to me well it seem at first till we got into the kitchen, I did like the way it was shot in some parts. Not sure If I'll continue, we'll see I guess.||
I didnt mean to type allat lol
but oh well
damn now I gotta read all of it
The bear s1ep1 ||I feel like you're confusing the dramatic aspects of the show as the real kitchen inspirations. like no shit the gun to get people to leave isn't gonna be realistic for 90% of people that worked in a kitchen, but thats not the part that people talk about||
The bear s1ep1 ||you also miss the point where Carmen comes from a michelin star restaurant and is now working in a sandwich shop in Chicago. Thats the reason for all the yelling and animosity that you say is edgy, Carmy is trying to change the restaurant for the better but they're all stuck in their old ways and don't respect him||
The Bear s1ep1 ||Carmen was definitely the most interesting thing so far about the episode. It almost completely flew by me but he was a major chef after all, cheff de cuisine according to those working with him in the restaurant in the literal best restaurant in the U.S, they don’t make a lot of $$ despite working in big places. I feel like that part of him intrigued me throughout the episode, then you have the hinted development with his brother's death and him filling the void yet being disrespected. There are glimpses of authenticity in those scenes but they are quickly stomped on by more unexplored interpersonal arguments among the cousins, who knows could be for next episodes. The cousin guy is kinda dumb as hell. It sure is niche in what it tries to do lol||
The Bear s1ep1 ||Might watch an episode or two later to fully take in some thoughts on what I think of it and where Carmen's character goes.||
The Bear s1ep1 ||It's not really about the gun thing specifically, but mainly the interaction that goes on in the kitchen itself and how everything is constantly fucking screaming and pissed the hell out it feels kinda bastardized in a way imo, granted it could be due to Carmen's brother passing and this dumb cousin who's now in charge but I feel like the whole way he acted didn't make sense to me. In a irl scenario the one in charge wouldve likely fired them all and hire people who will listen to you since no on there cared or had respect and at the end of the day the real world isn’t that way
If I get a new boss because my boss died, they are now the person in charge, and you can’t decide to just ignore what they say because you don’t like it that's another thing I have as issue with Carmen.||
The Bear s1ep1 ||except that in this example the new boss is your best friend's little brother who you have no respect for, so what you said made no sense||
I feel like you're thinking way too much about the real life kitchen enviornment
The Bear s1ep1 ||If he has no respect for him why does he stay there then?? I mean he is the boss after all. It's kinda silly to me, especially if he wants to change the environment and is treated like crap. But him deliberately choosing to ignore what he says then staying there is kinda silly to me.||
I bring it up often since it was mentioned a lot before getting into the show, like it being the most accurate real kitchen tv show and stuff
remember this message if you decide to keep watching
thats all I will say
I'll definitely watch an episode or two since it got me talking this much about it
but just wanted to discuss that first episode a bit
Weird show but interesting
Reminds me of beef
Turning Red was really good
I tried to be nice lmao
Zdarsky daredevil really is as good as everyone says it is, how can something be so peak
Eye of the world chapter 27 || NOOOOOOOOO THOM WHY DID YOU SACRIFICE YOURSELF NOOOOO
he was my favorite character man and he could’ve sailed away to somewhere else and make more money but he cared about these boys he hasn’t know for more than what a month? Ugh poor Thom man.. at least he went out like a warrior ||
The way it transitions from shot to shot harsh
nothing at all plot related
Amazon show is pretty mixed but I liked this casting for the most part https://youtu.be/zSOmKtBdV2w?si=xbEwTcJ2H6Pd17Hc

F4 and Superman Legacy in the same month
@modern lichen @sage sleet
damn this casting
HOLY FUCK
?!?!?!?!?

Insane casting
finished up all the hitchhiker's guide books. Last 2 a bit of a step down but overall worth the time imo. Especially since theyre pretty short. Moreso in the earlier books but it has a lot of the same adventuring through a crazy world feel as one piece
greatest series out there

1-4 are outstanding. Loved every second of the first 4. 5 is decent, 6 is ok.
I remember loving all tbe books but yeah the last two definitely lesser
Absurdist comedy works everytime
🙏
have you read Discworld?
i read mort but thats it, maybe ill get on the rest of the death saga of discworld next

I am in the minority for this rec but I always recommend starting from Small Gods
it gives a good outlook of how Discworld books are
still reading malazan but i like having a short/small books to read alongside huge epics like that
ah
i also have that one on my bookshelf
arent there like 40 or something crazy like that
you could read blake crouch's stuff for small books
they are scifi thrillers you can finish in one setting
ye
Who will win, Superman or F4
Superman I don’t trust marvel anymore

This is cinema
monke
Discworld is pretty intimidating to get into
Why is Pascal being cast in like everything now
Why?I don't think so
It's very fortunate that every book is short
Fair
So it doesn't take much time to read any of them
Arent there like 50 of em
40
That f4 poster looks cool
you look cool!

Can’t believe they cast Pedro as Mr F, thought they were going for a younger actor
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes Trailer:||https://youtu.be/XtFI7SNtVpY?si=5vf5JSAw7FbTfMgO||
Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global, epic franchise set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that w...
P.S haven't watch the Planet of the Apes Trilogy yet but I'm still hype through
Wait I don’t get this
How can avatar make this much money? It’s terrifying it made this huge fortune from just single film
That’s like over 2 billion and 600million euros
And again with avatar 2
Peak

watch it
Pretty good
I will soon gotta finish this show first
pascal and cavill tryina take over all the franchises
bro what if they cast cavill as doom

I am convinced avatar 2 was like a government experiment or something
I do not know a single person that watched that movie
And it made close to the amount of endgame, which is just crazy to me
its wild he managed to make so much money of this forgettable franchise not only once but twice
Avatar 2 making 2 billion again after like 13 years to me is just bewildering
Was Avatar 2 bad?
Idk I didn’t watch it 😭
I just hear no one talk about it, against something like the MCU where endgame was an event for movies when it released
I think Avatar has a huge international audience though iirc
If no one talks about it then it’s puzzling of how avatar 2 made huge profit and what do you mean by government experiment?
I was joking when I said government i just think its crazy it made 2 billion
Barbenheimer was a huge thing last year and avatar still made like a billion more then barbie lmfao
Oh I see. At least I’m not only one surprised that one movie could reach up to the billion level
It was kinda generic
beautiful spectacular movie but just kinda meh plot wise
most the discussion i hear about it is how good it looks
Avatar 2 ||I liked the sea na'vi theyre pretty cool, and those big sea creatures. Jake sully is kinda boring, I couldnt care about his family much tbh and hated that human guy that tags along and betrayed them||
thats just Avatar in general tbh
Just saw madam web ||hooooooooooooooooooooooooooly shit||

Dune part 2 getting reallyyy good early reviews
From the director of Metropolis I would rathee watch M (1931), which is not silent
Herzog has some good german movies
I missed the very small chance to see the first dune rerelease in theaters cause i was sick im so mad
I keep seeing ads for Shogun on hulu
I might get hulu after the first season is all out to binge it

Invincible Season 2 Part 2 Trailer:||https://youtu.be/k5OY-vXYzeE?si=NT__GcnjFhaOHcAf||
Invincible Season 2 returns March 14! Mark goes back to college, reads his dad's books, and nothing bad happens to him or his family. This is a very official synopsis.

@broken scarab

why is this shit getting 2 parts and a delayed release
money grabbing bunch of cunts at amazon
Fina-fucking-lly
Lame ass having two part series
I think I remember reading re invincible that if they were to put it out as a full season it would have taken a while and it had already been a while so they wanted to release the half season they did have done
I know, fantastic. I’ve noticed some changes from the comics, I wonder how they’ll play ‘em out.
114 might be the last issue of Tom Taylor’s Nightwing run
114 is start of a 5 part arc, so 118 would be the last*
All to be ass. I had such high expectations too
Comics might have something for me, tho. Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley artwork looks immaculate
watching anatomy of a fall with my parents who are huge courtroom drama fans
Netflix started it by chopping up their animated shows into multiple seasons to pay their animators less money. Wouldnt be surprised if Amazon have decided they want that as well
dumbass cunts
from the stuff I've seen from Invincible, it didnt have great animation. If its gotten worse then uh oh
I'm also excited
Dune/dune part 2 || I wonder how they will cast Alia
||
oof the xmen series looks rough animation wise
@hazy cypress I watch 50s to 70s movies as well
Me too
Especially 70s absolute classics
Tell me what are the movies you watched
My personal fav from 70s is serpico but there’s also one flew over the cuckoos nest, taxi driver and I love Chinatown also, what about you?
Omgg....I watched all of those. Yes they're indeed great films
U have great taste then, because I consider mine amazing also
But still have a huge list to get through
I watched 90% Al Pacino films haha
Dog Day Afternoon is one of the best
Yessss
Devils advocate also great
Do you watch 50s movies like 12 Angry Men, Third Man, Citizen Kane, and Alfred Hitchcock movies?
Or Kubrick
Yess ofc , seven samurai my fav, to catch a thief, vertigo
The last old movie I watched was Pollyanna 1960
I havent watch seven samurai yet but Ive heard it's one of the greats
It is fr
Me too... I watch italian, french etc..
Yess same I know a decent amount of Italian but I watch more French😭 masculin femenin, La vie en rose, pierrot le fou I hope I spelt it right
You're so real
Thanks😭u too
Also La hainee classic
You made me wanna watch a movie tonight so I’ll prob do that
I really want to watch Apocalypse Now atleast once
That’s on my list actually
I’ll watch it
Thanks violet
I also watch 80s to 90s. Last movie I watched in the 90s is Dark City
This dystopian, psychological, science fiction
Ofc 90s the best for movies honestly
It's great
I’ve watched Leon the professional like 20 times it was my fav movie for the longest
Looks very cool
I’ll add to my list
Aaaaa yes
Lol was abt to add u and u already added
🙏🏽
I should really watch more romantic movies because I just don’t
Me:
just started watching Reacher on prime. Amazing show
midmaxxing
@spice folio watching anatomy of a fall with my parents and it’s fucking intense lmao
dude the opening scene is one of the most intense experiences I've ever had on the theater
I can't listen to that song again
Anatomy of a Fall || I’m at the argument scene where they play the recording ||
Anatomy of a Fall || I wonder what the deal with the pills and the vomit will pay off ||
so good

@spice folio finished anatomy of a fall
cooking up a review, i need some time to digest it
@modern lichen the wind rises 🐐
I'll wait for it in letterboxd
beautiful film
today was a good day to end my slump proper
U seen the boy and the heron yet or no
nah man i couldnt find the right time to go when it was in the theatres
now i have to wait
its absolutely my favorite miyazaki
i'm very excited
i dont think mine will ever change from princess mononoke but i'm really hyped for it because i just recently rewatched howl's as well
oh i saw your after earth review, i'm sorry about that, man
yeah :/
hope you're doing better now
i watched anatomy of a fall with my dad and mom today and we had a great discussion, i just love movies so much
im gonna try therapy lol
been reading a lot more recently
what have you been reading
I read Dennis cooper’s closer last night, finished the third book of murakamis wind up bird chronicle. in the middle of dracula and richard brody’s godard biography rn
i got back into my reading groove as well, finished my reread of the earthsea cycle, special series
all good stuff
brody as a critic for me is hilarious, him and armond white
but i love their reviews
tbf brody is way more dignified than white LMAO
white borders on extremely stupid and entertainingly stupid but i always like his writing
richard brody has a lot of strange takes but again a great writer
i will say i earnestly enjoy the snyder pieces😭
white is increasingly bad now because his criticisms boil down to "woke bad and old good" but the way he writes them is good
Yea he exclusively does culture war bs
But theres still moments where hes passionate about film
its sad, his old reviews are really good pieces of criticism
like he genuinely liked rebel moon (lol) and wasnt too political in his review
its a movie
its one of the movies of all time for sure
it looks so bad as well compared to his DC work, he helmed the movie's DOP duties as well
it looks unique thats for sure
Larry fong is undeniable
iron claw was p good
i dont love it like a lot of people but its very solid
i know i will lay down crying in a fetal position after it but i guess i'm in a mood to suffer
i cried a lot yea
i watched jt with my friends before we attended a wwe event
Lol
that's a fuckin sucker punch
what the
lmao
so i am going for these in order next: iron claw, eileen, monster (kore'eda), the delinquents
and a few more indian movies sprinked in between
i still havent seen any 2024 movies
my friend wants to see madame web Lol it looks funny enough tho.
oh shit, i have ferrari downloaded
but i wanna rewatch collateral first
hm american fiction out as well
dang
Ferrari is really great
i rewatched collateral twice recrntly its sfill one of the besy movies
i watched like 2 minutes of it, looked good
collateral just has this texture to it, i guess from the digital cinematography that i think really amplifies the story and material
mann is a master
Yeah the early digital in collateral is so special
Somethjng about the how vulnerable LA looks
like compare that to Heat
miami vice has similar vibes as well
i sat down to rewatch blackhat recently and i liked it! not really my favorite mann tho
that still prob is collateral
blackhat is my favorite nowadays 😭
i saw it in cinemas recently
The directors cut
Super special
must hit harder but it feels a lot more gimmicky than the spared down lean machine of a movie i love in collateral, the staple mann coolness taken to its logical digital extreme
heat as well is in contention because of how hard that hits but yeah, something about cruise just wrecking shit that appeals to me
its a side of his that we rarely get to see as well
collateral is definitely his most stripped down
i will rewatch public enemies soon as well but i dont have much interest in it so i can just postpone it sometime later
thats a favorite too
its not as personal to me as blackhat/heat/vice/collateral but its genuinely stunning digital cinematography
you really like digital cinematography huh
Yep
i'm still a filmbro
I love the digital noir lighting of publix enemies
I like it all
yeah, i like it all too
but its like... idk film is something special
which is why i love the work of nolan and PTA in modernity
there's a sense of beauty there
Imo u make something like Heat (peak of the artform) the only natural progression is to move formats entirely
Nolan and pta fs make beautiful use of film stock tho
Licorice pizza one of the best looking movies of recent times
and obv oppir
oppie
kaminsky is still making some of the best looking images with spielberg
scorsese as well, holy shit killers looked good
i cant wait for coppola to come out with megalopolis now
some of those close ups are still in my head
the GOAT
the fabelmans is still my fav spielb
gonna rw soon
but that film spoke to me
Im deathly excited for coppola especially as a lover of his most recent works
its a really great film yeah
i need to rewatch his dracula, some of the most bonkers visual experiences ever
Ye its a visual treat for sure
I love keanu in everything
Thats like the most maximalist shit ever
hes funny in many movies
anthony hopkins just going HAM as van helsing, tom waits omg, so much fun
of course, oldman is just the greatest to ever do it
OFTH soundtrack is unreal
i like that movie but i dont love it, it looks and sounds really good tho, that's to be expected from a master like coppola
i cant not chose the run he had in the 70s starting with the godfather and ending with apocalypse now
insane lineup for any director
the godfather, the conversation, godfather part 2 and then apocalypse now
the 70s run is obviouslt legendary bc those are all masterpieces but he just impresses me even more with 80s and 2000s
Like rumble fish is fkn insane
80s is just coppola going "fuck studios i do my own shit" and its mostly mixed for me
i really like rumble fish and the outsiders
yeah it kind of killed his career but i love the ambition
the cotton club is a great film in the vein of the godfather(s)
peggy sue n tucker showing his versatility
peggy sue got married is fun, the cotton club is fine as well, tucker is good i like that as an underdog story a lot
have u seen his recut of cotton club
nope, i will try finding it
its more accessible nowadays but the original cut he hates bc the studio made him cut the scenes of black characters
a lot more international cinema on my plate now too
which is like half the movie in the new cut
oh shit
its called encore
def give it a go im sure its a completely new experience
its completely tonally different from the novel lol
yeah, the movie just goes ballistic from the get go, some really innovative maximalist horror
oldman is a chameleon
i've been watching oppenheimer movie reactions and 99% of them dont recognize oldman as truman
its insane
i've been watching slow horses as well, he's so good in that
whats that?
its a spy thriller show, apple tv+
incredible stuff
very funny, gripping and well written
ah
i havent been too into tv lately
I watched the curse thats ab it
and i started a twin peaks rewatch w my friend
what the fuck happened in that finale
i didnt know how to comprehend that ending
i remember going, how did this go from ||micropenises to dude being in space||
😭
Even before that tho its like expert cringe comedy/satire
Was super into it for 9 episodes and then i was jusf like wtf
Im ngl i never reallt enjoyed his performances until the curse
he was so good in licorice pizza, oppenheimer and then this
Im not a fan of him in oppenheimer
but hes really dark and vulnerable in the curse i like it alot
i love him as edward teller because he became edward teller, i couldnt tell the different
looking at footage of the actual teller and then the movie, there's no visible difference, its uncanny
insane chops
he’s definitely very funny
he is, he wrote most of the show with fielder as well, all round cool dude
when u put the safdie’s background with their non-actor work with the curse it makes a lot of sense
its unfortunate that the brothers split up
as a team
and now the coens are making separate stuff as well
i hear the coens are reuniting
hallelujah
I wonder how the safdie dwayne johnson project will go lmao
lmfaoo
dwayne returned to WWE, bro saw that he's not that guy
and even there he tried some shit and got fucked up
yea
😔
piece of garbage movie
there was a time where i enjoyed his screen acting
now that i think about it, i only remember one thing about black adam
I really need to watch that one, but I think my next movie will be Paris, Texas or Corpse Bride. Depends on my time today after we finish shooting.
but I'll probably watch corpse bride because my mom's birthday is today, I'll only have time for something short
black adam ||lil bro on a skateboard riding through a war torn city||
that's all i remember
oh💀
i'm crying this shit really sucked man
man I love heat
amazing movie
but I think my favorite from Mann's might be Blowout
He did not do that
Mann is #thatguy
that was brian de palma
oh yeah lmao
but that js also a great film
I always confuse Mann and De Palma for some reason
I need to watch blow up
i keep forgetting to watch more antonioni
i loved lavventure#a
then yeah I've seen more of De Palma stuff
Not fixing that typo
lmao
My favourite is La Notte
man there's so many movies I need to see
I’ve seen a lot of em and there’s still shit I need to see
i was gonna watch that next actually
maybe tonight!
Relatable
these 4 are my main ones that are next on my list, they're pretty long so sometimes I just watch something shorter when I have no time
Makes me wanna rewatch Anatomy of a Murder
after that I'm done with my first list
i havent been too interested in anatomy of a fall but recently i was like sure ill watch it lol
then I move on to my second one
Oh you have some bangers down the line
Watch Lawrence on the biggest screen possible
I'm literally reading this discussion and thinking "I have to watch this....and this.....and this"
The watchlist never ends
I have a feeling that I'll like them all
Sandra Huller is a tour de force
I need to watch Zone of Interest asap
me everytime I'm talking of movies with people
tbh im not too interested in zone but i guess ill see it eventually
I need to be reminded of the horrors of humanity
maybe under the skin is great
Its not like bad but for some reason it rubs me the wrong way
Love all of these five
maybe its the britishness
Lmfao
Perchance
The movie I’m looking forward to the most is Madame Web, the masterpiece of all time
it looks really funny
im not sure how its real
ive seen clips that are just baffling
I’ve seen a clip and the editing is so bad I just loved it
why do they talk like that
It’s bad in a way that’s baffling yet I’m interested in it
😭
i cant see me nkt having a great time watching it tho
cuz i die laughing whenever i see clips
The trailer line about her mom isn’t in the movie
nooo

Funniest delivery of all time
I can absolutely see me having the time of my life watching that movie, like Morbius
it looks way funnier than morbius
bruh did u see ts
This is like one of my dreams
i didnt know malick and francis played ball
Huey Newton not seeing the light of day

The show will have a creative overhaul & refocused to a more male-skewing audience.

Yeah. It's so Psychological
The movie looks like Blade Runner 1982 vibes but more trippy
I second what Aka said
lol
Is it trippier than Donnie darko💀
Yes. I love Donnie Darko tho haha
Same same
The most trippy and traumatised movie I watched is A Clockwork Orange. I watched it in pandemic and what the hell
But it's good psychological thriller
I started watching it the other day but I fell asleep
😭
Smh
Lmao... the actor did a good job ngl
It was very strange
Rosinante
I watched his ...If (1968) and O' Lucky man (1973) and it's so weird as well.... @hazy cypress
Yesss he was amazing
Idk how to word it but your knowledge of movies is very cool
Yeah Malcolm Mcdowell shouldve won best actor in the Oscars but the film got controversial that time.
People are not ready for that
Yet
Aaaaa thanks
You as well alex
I hate that sort of thing lol but sometimes when a movie is controversial it’s a good movie just like the controversy when fight club came out
Imma watch Paris, Texas before work
True true...
U seen goodfellas right
I be walkin around my crib like “funny how?”
It’s so early rn but I gotta go out

Yessir...
Joe Pesci is a menace lol I love how its not in the script
Exactly😭goat

that's cool
The CW’s Brad Schwartz says the decision to end ‘SUPERMAN & LOIS’ was by Warner Bros to not have the series conflict with ‘SUPERMAN LEGACY’.
“They don’t want a competing Superman product in the marketplace.”
(Source: https://www.thewrap.com/cw-brad-schwartz-dennis-miller-interview-linear-tv-strategy/)
Meanwhile Batman has like 6 things going at the same time between movies, shows and video games lol
batman on TOP
yeah but the general public still likes batman
Nothing stops the bat
CR c2 ep 71 ||I’ve never seen people master debate like that before. They were going crazy at each other. I hope they come to an agreement about who is the better master debater ||
No reason why it wouldnt work for Superman too
Flash would still win walking on his hands (he has done so in one of the comics I read lol)
Showing my husband Avatar: The Last Airbender for the first time. I’m so excited, really looking forward to this one.
As in looking forward to watching the original show with your husband or are you referring to the upcoming live action show
The original series. As in, I grew up loving it so I can’t wait to share my favorite moments with him. Totally see how that was confusing, lol.
I don’t have many hopes in the new live action since I read that the og creators left.
Oh no you’re good lol, it’s one of my favorite series too. I’m sure your husband will love it 🙂
And yeah this upcoming live action is almost certainly going to be a train wreck given all the reported creative changes they’ve made which as you said, drove the original creators off
In era where Gaiman, Riordan, and Oda are directly involved with the adaptations of their work, is just terrible PR from Netflix driving off the IP OGs.
Very true
Evan putting negativity out in the universe…single handedly ruining the LA
I’ll eat my sock if this turns out to be good
I had hope after the trailer then they kept talking about it
just saw this meme
lol
Okay
Lemme pull up the episode list so I can spoiler tag properly
Been awhile since I watched the season they just put it on hulu
Rick and morty S7E2 ||the part where Jerry fucking kills himself as soon as he gets the knowledge Rick has
||
||like I know I shouldn’t laugh at that but it caught me so off guard I couldn’t help it||
Jerry episodes are 10/10 lately always laugh my ass off
Oh for sure
I’m glad they upped his character
Made him less irrelevant
Funnier
No frrrr
Rick and morty S7E5 ||tho I gotta say this episode hit pretty hard seeing Rick finally kill Rick prime…||
The fact it wasn’t the season finale
Rick and morty 7ep5 ||the ending monologue of when Rick is just beating prime to death gave me chills crazy moment||
Yuuupp
And then it’s just over head empty
Rick and morty s7e5 || and how clearly Rick prime realized our Rick full on invaded his home and tracked him down and was ultimately the one who killed him||
||What’s
?||
It’s a laughing emote
Lived in his house
The rickest Rick
Ohh i thought u meant knowledge Rick has ___ and another word
I forget what ep happens after that one
Ohh yeah with the rock things
Not a bad ep but man what is that like 4 times they did a interdimensonal cable now
The season finale was a mind fuck for me tho a little bit
The twilight zone ep I forgot what a great end
I was skeptical about them leaving the hole too
Was like hmmmmmmm
Is it really over
Rick and morty 7 end ||finally getting to see Diane spending time with the family just to find out Rick was fake||
Yuuuuuupp
Hope I see one next time I’m at dennys
You’ll have to let me know if you do
Since it’s in the men’s room
I’ll have my friend’s husband check next time we go
eww dennys
You must never have had any late night trips to dennys with your friends have you glex
You saying you don’t like over salty eggs glex
Id jump into that hole any day any week no hesitation
No one told her lmfao

Honestly she would of fit better in the black widow movie. Just with mcu hype dieing down, just bad timing and bad script

I hadn't even heard of like 12 of them :kekhands:
Yes
Its absolutely terrible, yes
I’ll take a look at this soon
One of the funniest shows i’ve ever seen, and i think it’s mostly unintentional
Igh i add that to my watchlist

Riverdale latest || genuinely one of the funniest things to happen on tv, theres no way anyone on the writing staff takes it seriously anymore ||
What season is this
One of the later ones
The show honestly gets better with each season as the writing quality keeps plummeting
And somehow its funnier with context

Nothing can prepare you for the context of the image i sent, 10/10 one of the greatest shows around
way of kings ch32 ||man..||
New USM soon
just a refresher, it's Black Panther, Spider-man, "Universe", and Invasion just for now right
X-men starts coming out march 6th
or is invasion not a part of it
invasion and universe set it up
and the recent series - black panther, spider-man and the upcoming x-men are a part of the universe that is resulted by invasion and universe yep
i'm very excited for ultimate x-men because peach momoko is doing it and it looks really cool
Yeah I see a cover for issue 1 and it looks nice
Yeah, and what harsh said
Universe and invasion are just world set up
gotcha
Yeah they’re one after the other
also universe is like one issue and invasion has 4 issues, you can breeze through them, great art as well
I wasn’t too interested in it tbh…just read for the set up. The individual titles are much better imo, so hopefully it doesn’t put you off if you don’t like it
how many issues of USM are there rn?
Ultimate BP || setting up a war between the two characters that are avatars for a god is a really cool idea, looking forward to seeing it unfold ||
ultimate black panther 1 ||pitting the 2 african influenced heroes against each other is a pretty great idea||
Just 1 atm
gotcha
Next is on 21st
I could catch up
easily
UBP || my only complaint is the mask looks ugly, why’d they make his lips visible
||
UBP ||yeah the mask looked really weird lmao, BP was still raw tho||
ultimate universe resurgence is making me so happy man

they're taking all the right steps
Gonna try to follow all the series released, or at the very least try them all before dropping
This has the vibes of House/Powers of X
Just such a promising new continuity with fresh ideas
I remember when the original ultimate universe happened and it looked so cool
Either is fine
Spider-Man came out first, but they don’t overlap so whichever
This is right
its gonna be all in 1 folder for Tachi to digest
well, I switched over to Mihon actually
Keeping track of releases
reminds me to fix up my tracker
What app you using to read comic
Ahh
Ultimate Invasion #1 ||the maker and Miles' relationship is really interesting||
david tennant ending the 2024 baftas with the words “come on barbie, let’s go party” . EXACTLY
💖 481 🔁 99
Icon
david tennant entering the baftas and bumping into michael sheen!
💖 57 🔁 15

That was a really great moment || it’s always interesting when people acknowledge the universe erasing
||
I'm on issue 3 now it is p fast

Ultimate Invasion #4

incredible spreads
All caught up
Got a 3 day weekend and I had a plan, I was gonna read the entire weekend, and then I got sick ON MY FIRST DAY OFF, what a scammm
Always the worst
The sirens lured me in with the extra day off and then they struck, tears

That joke is a shoe-in

@burnt lake USM 2024 || now that you’re caught up…hear me out, osborn is just bait. Jameson is the real green goblin
||
Usm 2024 ||considering all the differences this universe has to offer it wouldn't be too far out of the picture||

USM 2024 || what’d you think of the fake out when Jameson yells for Parker and walks past Peter for Ben? ||
Literally me
No fr
Usm 2024 ||literally changed everything seeing Ben alive and Peter in his 30s||
Usm 2024 /Ultimate Universe ||may still died tho
also is it confirmed that Tony died in the blast? We known there's time travel involved to some capacity but like how far does it reach out in regards to their safety? Also kind of a shit way for Thor to die, literally only being around for 1 issue
||
USM 2024 || yeah may died in that big blast thing, idk about tony. Maybe he survived some how but for the time being I think he’s off the table
||
Now we wait for Wednesday
Usm 2024 ||maybe since he was able to send stuff 6 months into the future, he sent himself and the rest of the party to some point in the future, I can't remember if the reactor his dad made could go back in time or not||
Usm 2024 ||it can definitely go forward though, all the way to the end of time||
Usm 2024 /ultimate universe /ultimate Invasion ||I'm assuming that Tony's dad saw himself in Kangs armor, but I'm gonna leave it off the table for now until it gets properly revealed. Hell it could be Tony for all we know||
Anyways that was a fun read, can't wait for more

It’s gotten me in the mood for more comics, and it’s only been 1 issue
Real
Gonna be my first xmen series I’ll be reading, ignoring some event stuff I’ve read
I have Batman new 52-current day on my tablet rn so I might hop and start that up. Already read 52 but wanting a reread
It'll be my first xmen series too
Main universe has too many titles, I cbf
My condolences
I wanted to get into it but work killed my motivation
Did you read House/Powers
It starts off really well
But it just drops off a cliff real bad
The rebirth?
Nah
Rebirth yeah
Hickman greatness

I originally read the first issue of batman rebirth it wasn't that bad, but the Snyder run was something else
Yeah the tom king rebirth run started off well
Tom King’s stuff isn’t bad if you haven’t read previous comics tbh
His main problem is ignoring past characterization

Have you read Supergirl by him Omni?

Insanely good comic
Not yet, but I plan to
Oh man it’s amazing
Wouldn't that be good for people to get into it without needing insane history lessons

That and Mister Miracle are some of his best works
After I finish my anime bingo I’ll switch to comics
Yeah, but the people complaining are regular readers still
Like I understand why gun likes king’s stuff, we’ll probably see some stuff adapted if the new movies succeed
