Sam Riegel who played Scanlan and Liam who played Vax used to do a podcast before their home game (which eventually went into streaming as the first campaign which the show is adapting) where they tried new things out, so they decided to play DnD and gathered all of the castmates to play a game while Matt Mercer ran the game. Sam wanted to create the worst character he could so he took prompts from Liam during the podcast to create Scanlan as a joke. Soon he adapted that character into the home game and the campaign and it only grew from there

Vox Machina s2/critical role || the vestiges were created during the time of the calamity, so when the world of Exandria began, the gods came to the world as one entity and began working with huge colossal beings called Primordials in order to grow the world from where some of the races in Exandria were created but soon friction emerged between the gods and the primordials who felt that these races and humans in particular were not conducive to the world. So there was The Schism, a war in which gods who wanted to destroy Exandria and leave (they are called the betrayer gods) and the gods that wanted to fight and give the world a chance (the prime deities) fought. The betrayers were cast away and the primordials were defeated and sealed. So some time passed and eventually humans learned how to harness magic, this caused great advances in human civilization and magic began to grow to a level where mortals wanted to ascend to godhood and the only person in this period who could do this ascended to godhood by erasing the god of death that was there and becoming the matron of ravens/Raven queen. So much hubris came into the humans (wizards everywhere) that they desired to do that as well and a wizard called Vespin Chloras unleashed several betrayer gods into the world in a ritual in order to do the same and which went awry, and this caused a centuries long war and conflict that killed 2/3rd of Exandria's existing population which is called The Calamity, when these vestiges were created to oppose gods and other powerful beings. The war ended soon, betrayers were thrown out again and this time, all of the prime deities as well decided to create a wall between themselves and the world called the divine gate which would not let them be an active presence in the world which was called the divergence. The world that we're seeing in the series and the campaigns are basically a post apocalyptic world after the war that destroyed most of the world ||

Owl House S3 E2 ||This was a nice episode. Lots of good developments happened. I once again particularly like the relationship between Luz and her mother, I liked how that was the key to unlocking Luz's staff. Though Luz spelling out her most desired wish was a bit much, but that's expected of kids cartoons. One thing that confused me though was Willow and Hunter being a thing. I was able to recall most of the plot and char arc through this episode, but I don't recall Willow and Hunter having much chemistry prior. I saw this without recaps though, so maybe I missed something. Their individual developments were good though, I especially like how Hunter decided to be more true to his feelings to save Willow.||

Owl House S3 E2 ||I'm curious how the pacifist approach of saving the Collector will go. I'm guessing through Luz's development of realizing what she wanted all along, she will stop all of the Collector's spells with her new staff, then when cornered Luz will be using talk no jutsu to stop him. The Collector himself just wants to be as understood and have as much of a bond as Luz does, so that's a parallel I can see happening. King's definitely gonna help Luz in some shape and the Collector is def gonna interrupt King in some way through his new game. ||
||Honestly, that's the way I expect it to go. It'll be a fine, but predictable development if it's done that way. I hope for some twists and turns that blow my expectations.||

Owl house s2 finale ||i love the dynamics of all the characters and the dynamics between them, I love how the "bad guys" are almost never bad to the core, the show tries to tell us that everyone is redeemable especially when their moral compass was corrupted by false beliefs||
And also ||I did not expect the revelation about King, like at all. I'm left wondering if the main antagonist in s3 will be the collector and King being the only person capable of stopping it||
