Avatar 2 movie ||This was such a beautiful movie; cinematography was off the charts. The plot was “fine”, characters were “fine”, can’t imagine this movie winning awards for either of those things. However to be fair, the story definitely tugged on my heart strings at the right times. Overall the movie felt like a 3.5 long message on the dangers of global warming and colonization, which kinda hurt my immersion into the story tbh; I watch movies to escape reality, not face it lul.||

Almost all sets are painted, and since the camera is still (apart from a few pans) every frame looks like a painting

It's also interesting how the narration text kind of telegraphs some of the choices they did in the previous shot, for instance in this one (Dr caligari) ||the narration right after tells you someone's been stabbed by a sharp object, hence the window ||
