@modern lichen a problem i did have with black adam well more so the rock || is how he's aiming to have black adam be like the next big bad right but to me it almost resolved itself sorta. So i can't see a real reason for him and supes to hash it out like what reason would black adam have to leave aside from the like "nobody tells me what to do" thing. Not fully confirmed but i heard that suicide squad 2021 was supposed to have black adam or supergirl instead of starro so i'm really curious assuming gunn even does that. I think if anything he'd have to do things with shazam but by then i still can't see him being a villain yknow? but i aint read a single mf black adam comic in my life i know nothing bout him aside from what we were shown in the movie and maybe that one animated movie|. I can't see him being a full on villain and even seeing him as the anti hero to an extent feels off since he did in some ways grow in black adam but yeah that's just my thinkin and ion really think gunn will make black adam a major player. big yes but imo not this like massive player unless it's for shazam then maybe workin into superman. sry for the ramble just been on my mind for a few weeks lol|| black adam

State of fear || Inclusion of Ted Bradley in these has been super good recently. Juxtaposing the reaction of his to things with Evans conveys the point even well.
Like the recent one was when they were about to land in resolution bay. Ted trying to glorify the place by praising thr natural beauty while ignoring the people's living conditions, and Evans noticing the poverty provides such a proper effects of what Ted and Kenner were previously talking about how environmentalists, and by extension rich assholes, not giving a damn about the consequences of their actions ||

Black Adam || yeah I agree, they gave him an overtly hero arc as the protector of an entire nation so seeing him be the antagonist or even as an anti hero is going to be weird. Not sure how it's going to factor into the future rivalry with Shazam as well if they're setting up to expand into that. Comics Adam def has a more negative streak so it's easy to see how he antagonized Shazam or Superman ||

@scenic frost Finished State of Fear. Haven't read the "Where I stand in all this" portion that the author has included.

State of Fear || The final ch, and by extension the ending, was profound. Especially the bit that Kenner says to Sarah about the history of earth thing. It was just exposition so was hard to view it as a dialogue, but played it like the ending monologue sort of thing so worked well.
Morton's conversation with Evans and Sarah was really the best part of this ch, and what a fabulous way to end it. Ngl had me tear up cuz it gave the honest, pure sort of vibe. It was quite powerful to read.

Also yea gripping thriller for the final segment. Finishing it felt like a massive achievement due to how intense it got with the topics it covered at times lol.
Also only noticed at the end but the whole thing took place within 10 days. Like wtf. Like I shouldn't really be surprised but I was lol.
It was such a cathartic read.

Also I really wasn't expecting cannibalism and people getting turned into dust described lol. Took me by surprise there. Was quite expecting a confrontation with Nick-Henley-V side and their truths being exposed sort of thing to be at the end, but that would have been difficult to end and would have felt like a slog to read given everything had ended. The promise the series had ended on was more than enough to like guarantee that what I was expecting would have happened in the story at later point.

Damn this was a great one. Already want to reread it again 😭 😭 😭 ||

Not exactly that. Not the unreliable narrator due to bias, but due to narrator being uninformed or misinformed.
Like the most unreliable narrator I remember are ones withholding info or telling lies because they are biased, but uninformed as in they aren't telling lies, but it comes off as ambiguous or misleading due to the narrator not being competent enough

DW S11 || Kerblam! Is finished! Very solid episode, I think I enjoyed this the most out of every episode, only one being competition is Demons of the Punjab. Probably one of the weirdest messages in any episode of doctor who though? I wouldn’t have thought an episode set in literal space Amazon would end with the system being the good guy, and the bad guy being a super young guy who thought that more people should have jobs? Which is what ended up happening anyway at the end since the HR lady said she’d try and make Kerblam more people focused It was a nice subversion of expectations though, just needed a bit more time to hammer out the nuance. It might’ve been a little boring if the message were just “corporations bad” . other than the resolution it was really fun though. And poor keira 😢 that scene was mortifying. Solid 7.34/10 😀 ||

|| What’s the point of being reincarnated if he’s the same person from start to end. And things go his favor easily when he fights against enemies with his growing OP abilities. So yeah I think I’m gonna drop it. I expected a little more for a series that’s highly advertised on Tapas, Tapas’ biggest cash cow. At most, this series generallly feels like fantasy wish fulfillment. || I gave it like three seasons before I dropped it.
