HOTD ep 2 || Obviously Otto started planting seeds for it immediately after Aemma died but I felt like the revelation he picked Alicent as his next wife was a bit too sudden at the end imo. Also really unsmart to just piss off one of your strongest allies with no forewarning. Mind you I get it, Laena was still a preteen but man you could've handled that better. Love the stones on Rhaenyra going to Dragonstone to get the egg back from Daemon but dick move by him taking it in the first place, especially since it was meant for Baelon before he died. Ending scene was heartbreaking, you could see how emotional Rhaenyra was getting at the revelation her BF is gonna become her step mom. Hurts more after all the scenes together they had prior but it is what it is. Also love the friction between the jaded Rhaenys and the admittedly somewhat naive Rhaenyra. ||

Recommend if you want to read something light and breezy

It doesn't do anything new or unique, but it's fun and pretty fast paced

The characters are great and idk if the humor is for everyone but I really liked it, it's sort of like what MCU has been trying to do with the excessive witty quips and stuff in the newer movies except it doesn't work for the MCU but it does for the books at least for me

It's really kinda wierd it isn't really incredible in any particular thing, but it all comes together pretty well for a really fun read

HOTD ep 3 ||I like the slow decline we're seeing from Viserys in regards to his disease/ailment. Started with that sore that wouldn't close, gets the cut on his pinky finger from the Iron Throne, slowly causes his finger to rot to the point of using maggots to try and stop it, now his pinky and his ring finger are seemingly incapable of moving on that hand and at the end they've both been amputated. I enjoy little details like that. Daemon was great this episode, didn't say anything outside of the beginning scene calling out the crab feeder, gotta love the plot armor of not only solely getting enemies rushing at him 1 after the other but also every arrow outside of like 2/3 at the end actually hitting him from dozens of them shot. Ultimately smart play luring them out without Caraxes since they could hear it to the more quiet Seasmoke. Kinda would've enjoyed seeing Daemon killing Crab feeder at the end but the image of him covered in blood dragging bisected upper half was great. A shame no one wants to honor the king's choice of Rhaenyra as his aid and instantly throw it behind Aegon, damn blood suckers.||

i finished season 1 of Mandolorian, that was decent. I was pretty interested enough to binge the whole season quickly. It had solid storytelling all around and I liked ||the droid man that sacrificed his life for an escape route. That badass accurate droid changed for the better and became more human. I was surprised the helmetless thing was revealed very early on. I expected that plot element to be an end of series thing. Personally, I'm more interested how baby Yoda will grow now that he's shown his capabilities of protecting others when Mando's crew was cornered, I'm not really interested in the Mando's arc. Also, it's impossible to dislike baby Yoda bro. Dude's the GOATest SW character, even when he's young.||

HOTD ep 4 ||Always been super uncomfy around hyper sexual situations so seeing a straight up orgy was kinda hard to watch. Feel bad for Ser Criston, kind of a no win situation to find yourself in when someone higher up in the food chain than you puts in a situation where you have to do the nasty. Liked seeing the change in Daemon's hair, from that super long look it has been thus far to pretty much making normal Matt Smith look like he just dyed his hair platinum blonde. Was interesting Daemon didn't even deny the accusation he slept with Rhaenyra, still seemed super hung over so maybe he believed he did, or if not maybe he tried pushing his chances to make that happen since they both clearly have a thing for each other, and as gross as that is because once again incest that's just House Targaryen's go to sadly so . Also felt sorry for Alicent, genuinely seemed like she was trying to reconnect with Rhaenyra and then in that back and forth scene was a nice contrast between one person doing what they wanted to do vs one person doing what was expected of them, also the sores spreading on Viserys back at the end was nasty. Loved the ending, satisfying seeing Viserys finally kick Otto to the curb.||

Finished The Sandman, it || was fine honestly, I couldn't help but completely lose the plot a few times but it wasn't an overall painful watch. I mean, I'd be lying if I said I wasnt exclusively watching it for Desire ||

HOTD ep5 ||And there's that whole gray bit with Daemon, returning to the Vale only to kill his wife. Kinda savage though playing with that cousin at the end. Rough go of it with Criston Cole, gets rejected after trying "reclaim" his honor by having Rhaenyra agree to run away and marry him and instantly shuts down her attempt to make him her paramour. Dude was a fucking idiot to spill the beans to Alicent when she hadn't gotten to the point yet. Also big RIP to that Joffrey dude but he really shouldn't have tried poking the bear but letting Cole know he was onto him about his relationship with Rhaenyra. Otto once again being the damn snake he is manipulating Alicent into thinking Rhaenyra would actually kill her half-siblings as a means to strength her own claim to the thrown, what a douche. Rhaenyra not seemingly understanding the implication of opening up a can of worms by having Laenor agree to find separate lovers since he's gay and they both know it, doesn't seem to click that would mean putting a bastard on the throne eventually though I'm sure she'd just legitimize them. Sad seeing Viserys disease continue to progress, hard to see a man slowly dying, especially one I believe to be genuinely good.||

dragon prince season 4 ||idk i only watched the first half of the first episode, but i'm ngl it was really hard to get through because of the bad animation and honestly cringe worthy dialogue sometimes||

HOTD ep 6 ||Can already tell I'm gonna love Emma D'Arcy as Rhaenyra, they have such a presence about them and a much more mature face despite only being like 8 years older than Milly. Olivia I can tell is a great actress as well but I can't help but feel she's a bit too baby faced for the role considering her children are only going to get older and the eventual actors/actresses who play them will either be as old or older than she is. Is what it is though. RIP Harwin and Lyonel, both of them seemed like good men and it was clear that Harwin cared about his children with Rhaenyra but he was a fool to even agree to having an affair with the future Queen or father children for her that look nothing like Laenor. Larys being a scumbag and murdering his own family to try and get in good with Alicent, loved her little freak out at the end. It's like her own little "Are we the baddies?" moment RIP Laena, talented actress and wish we'd gotten more time with her. Really question how rushed the relationship was between her and Daemon in the show. They left out how the 2 genuinely loved each other, also apparently they nixed a scene showing Daemon comforting his daughters after her death which I found just silly, doesn't make him any less gray of a character to show compassion for people he loves. Sad seeing Viserys continue to deteriorate. Lost most of his hair, his skin is all blotchy, and in the 10 year jump he's now had his entire left arm amputated.||

HOTD ep 7 ||Loved Daemon chuckling at the subtle shade Vaemond threw towards Rhaenyra and her kids, was funny. Also ultimately I find myself loving that they made the real Velaryons black in the GOT universe, makes it more obvious that the boys aren't true born as opposed to would likely be 2 light skinned, platinum haired people popping out 3 kids who all have dark hair. Aemond was awesome this episode, the balls on that kid to not only claim Vhagar but then brush off losing his eye in that scrap as being a fair price to pay for a dragon. Good on Daemon helping Laenor escape with his lover in secret so they could both live their own lives and to free up Daemon and Rhaenyra to marry. Also since GRRM gives input I imagine this is canonically what happened as well instead of the book insinuating that Qarl killed him instead. Feel awful for Corlys and Rhaenys though, first they lose Laena and now they believe Laenor is dead. Sad seeing Viserys start to lose his mind a bit, confusing Alicent for Aemma.||

HOTD ep 8 ||Heartbreaking end for Viserys, Paddy Considine absolutely knocked that role out of the park. Believe they confirmed what he suffered from all this time was leprosy, awful watching him just waste away from it. Also major bitch move by Alicent, I cannot honestly believe she really thought he was saying that their little shit son Aegon was who he was talking about and is just using that as an excuse to claim he changed his choice in successor. Was badass seeing him get off of the milk long enough to walk and sit the thrown by himself to help protect Rhaenyra and her kids, equally badass was Vaemond laying all the dirty laundry out in the open without a care in the world and then Daemon chopping his head off. Also have to say I adore Ewan Mitchell as Aemond, absolutely killing it. ||

HOTD ep 9 ||Will say though I really feel sorry for Aegon, put in a situation he doesn't want to be in by his power hungry gramps and mom. He's not fit to rule and he doesn't want to be king, also clearly feels like he didn't get anywhere near enough attention/love from his dad. HOTD ep 10 ||Welp, war had to properly kick off someway. RIP Jace, poor kid Rhaenyra losing her day, her baby, her throne, and now one of her sons in short order. Truly one of the most tragic characters in the entire ASOIAF universe. S2 should be fun. Love the call back to seeing Rhaenyra's face at the end of ep 1 and now at the end of ep 10, the obvious differences between a young, inexperienced, and naive girl vs a woman who has lost multiple loved ones and her birth right and is dead set on vengeance. Also love the touch of it technically being a callback to Viserys saying that Dragons can't truly be controlled vs Aarax blasting Vhagar and pissing it off without Jace wanting that and (although a change up from the books) Vhagar killing Jace and Aarax without Aemond wanting that.||
