Black Adam || Starting with the rant. What tf was that narration. Ngl that itself left a sour taste for quite a while for me. Should have either cut to the mother telling the story to the kid or the kid reminiscing about it, which would have made it quite natural. The gripe I had with it was, it was presented as a usual narrator voice Narration due to the events that came after it but had the narration voice of what I said in the previous sentence.
Another issue I had with it was Sabbac's design. That might be comic accurate and what not, but it just didn't blend with the overall aesthetic and look the movie had. That design felt like a devil design you would expect in a horror kind of movie in a setting which was a blend of scifi-fantasy. Had me laughing for a while, just didn't match at all.
And yea, speedramping became annoying later for me, at least near the end. It wasn't really necessary in the part where the townspeople fought the undead.

Black Adam || Now about the good stuff. Black Adam's character arc in the movie had been really good. The payoff was so satisfying at the end. Aldis Hodge looked fabulous, and he did the role so well. Doctor Fate too . Would have liked a but more of Atom Smasher but I think having him more would have been an overall negative to the movie. He really didn't do well to the story in the short time he was given. Cyclone's was also just right imo. Would have loved more of her, but she had the perfect amount of focus imo, especially since she wasn't to have much of a role in the story. Also speedramp worked so well with her. Every time she used her power, the slowmo just made her so gorgeous ngl so yeah. JSA were perfect, and Hodge and Pierce even more so.

Black Adam || If the movie had just ended on when they locked Black Adam, I wouldn't have loved it much. It wouldn't have been a bad movie at all but there wasn't much to it either. Everything from Adam telling his story to the end is what made this movie so good. Hearing about his story to him voluntarily wishing to give himself up Doctor Fate setting up a protection barrier to save Hodge and Hodge desperately trying to break it, his final stand against Sabbac, then waking up black Adam. The fight itself was nothing but fabulous and the emotional impact it had was just so well done. Adam fighting against the armed soldier without his powers, speedramp at that made that scene so much impactful for me and the scene where he talks to his deceased wife and son, just damn. I don't exactly remember if Doctor Fate's death had me crying or not but I remember I was crying at this. They just nailed the emotional delivery of it.
The first one and a half hour didn't pay off just with the death of Doctor Fate but with the scene when they call Black Adam too. The kid, and the whole town, putting up their hands and calling for Black Adam, that was easily the best part of this movie, hands down. The crowd then fighting the undead, Black Adam and Hawkman vs Sabbac, the "you can still be a hero" (or w/e the exact wording was. I think it was smth along the lines of 'whom your son couldn't defeat' or smth) that was said to black Adam after which he defeats Sabbac, Black Adam destroying the throne, "already has heroes, it needs a saviour" . Everything after Black Adam came back to the town was peak after peak ||

||i dont know what he looks like in the comic but my thinking is they made him the way he was bc of trigon. lot of people already thought he was trigon from that trailer but i could very much be wrong. also yeah i wish we got more atom smasher and cyclone but i do like that their comedy and synergy/romance blooming was small and lighthearted to not go that marvel haha comedy route but we will for sure see more of them in the future i'd bet everything on it. but yeah they were for the most part there and for now im ok with it bc i never thought id see atom smasher on the big screen|| black adam

||doctor fate and hawkman had that beautiful synergy so no doubt we'll see them together at least one more time. i was bummed when he died but i knew the helmet was a mantle and i do truly believe we'll see him once more in the past. when hawkman did the helmet trick i got goosebumps ngl like man. i only know hawkman from jlu and he was a delusional stalker so to see him shinin is insane||

||also i'm not huge into too much action like as long as it doesn't drag on and get repetitive i'm fine so i personally liked sabbac's fight being impactful to the other chars but short|| black adam

||imma be real after this movie i just don't see how black adam can be the next major threat at least for a movie before he becomes a true anti hero/better guy but i'm down to see what happens|| black adam
