Rop ep1 and 2, silmarilion (possible Rop spoilers) ||I liked the episodes, the visuals are astonishing. Tho i didnt like galadriel's introduction, the transition from Princess to warrior felt a little bit forced, and the boat part felt pretty stupid. And also I think we were given little context about the world building, my friends were asking me questions like "why is it so special for an elf to come back to valinor? Can't they go back anytime? Why did they leave?" it's just bits being told here and there, they mentioned the silmarils and fëanor like they were just something troublesome and not the indirect cause of the curse of the noldor and the Kingslaying. Not even a mention about Númenor. I hope those things will be explored, but I don't think they will. And I also think it won't be detrimental to my enjoyment of the series. I think it's just personally I would've preferred a more slow pacing, but I don't think that could work.

For now I'm loving the series, I'm still hyped. And I really hope númenoreans will play a role in this series, after all they are the reason why Arda became round ||

Rop/silmarilion ||yea, I'm not saying that the veangance of her brother isn't a good motive. The thing is that she left valinor along her brother to fight their foe, Melkor. She was already a fighter, which wasn't perceived in Rop.

Ofc after the second age the age of elves ends and the age of men begins. So elves weren't as influential as before, also because many of them returned to valinor, and Galadriel stayed just to protect Nenya. And she basically had 3 thousand years to chill for a battle that wasn't hers to fight, and even then she was one of the members of the White Council.

||Conceptually, taking into account everything else and extrapolating what Martin is going for with the overall themes of the story, King Bran is unironically a very good ending. It’s just hard to figure out what it’s going for because of how broken the show’s narrative is lol.|| GoT
