Luffy is only resistant to some poisons not all of them
Yup
Maybe the gomu gomu no mi can hold other fruits powers
And awakening the fruit awakens those powers
No
the color of the substance that the monkey king was pointing at was yellow orange-ish, the same color of natural resin that is found on trees, now we have to see the colored to be sure it’s yellow but we can only assume since oda already gave us the most important hint, but the color of latex is literally white and more liquified than goey.
Resin have plenty of possibilities in real life that possibly can contain powers from other DF albeit their own versions, just my speculation
There is nothing in the series to suggest such thing
Maybe its as simple as Oda wanting to help parallel Luffy and Blackbeard
But the thing is that nothing in the series suggests this being a possibility
resin also contains oil, which would explain why luffy can generate fire under water, and it also fits the forced narrative of oil and water, imu and luffy in a nutshell.
The anime is completely illogical when it comes to DF
Do yall think that the ope ope no mi would disappear or cease to exist after someone uses it to gift immortality?
Not always
Maybe it does, maybe the fact that luffy wasn't able to be harmed by normal punches at the beginning of the series was the hint
And its just kinda wishful thinking that luffy’s fruit is not only resin but alot of other stuff
Cus he is rubber so rubber absorbs and then redirects that hit according to anime logic
Yes so he can absorb the effect of eating multiple devil fruits
And those powers lay dormant until awakening
I think that is wishful thinking and that also makes luffy a little too overpowered
Cuz think about it, luffy is dumb enough to eat another devil fruit without realizing it
What I meant is that Luffy changes trajectory by briefly "liquifying" his fist and then hardening it again
Partial awakening, you could say
What you are saying about the chemical properties of resin is definetly interesting, especially the juxtaposition of Imu/Water and Luffy/Oil
That's actually one of the best arguments in favor for Oil Oil no Mi I've seen so far
Think about all the cool boosts oda has given luffy, like the gear 2, gear 3 and gear 4, they always have setbacks eventhough some arent visible to stop luffy from becoming too overpoweredd
wondering how Luffy can ignite his arm when he launches Red Hawk, even though he is fast in G2 and it is because of friction but everytime he punches its just a fast punch no friction happening, Luffy needs his DF to be flammable itself to get ignited easily with friction
To me, it doesnt really make sense either that awakened resin/gomu fruit is just going to be 90 different fruits
Tbh its either smthng to do with ace, haki or sanji leg type anime logic
What if luffy just has oil in his pocket
What if? I dont really think so buddy.
Its a joke
got it from yuderon he’s quite an insane theorist.
Im gojng to be honest, luffy would have been destroyed by enel if it wasnt for anime logic lol
Electricity can emit heat and fire in real life but in One Piece just pure electricity to Luffy xD
Ikr
Well not emit heat, techically the electric energy converts jnto heat energy i think
The link doesn't work for me.
It was a image of the tree?
How can Katakuri use burning mocchi attacks? And Sanji? Doflamingo?
And Kinnemon has foxfire style. There are many fire attacks in One Piece.
If Luffy awakening contained oil than he should can swim on ocean since water & oil was opposite
oil and water dont mix but that doesn't mean he wouldn't sink, and it's still a devil fruit. I'm sure kizaru who is made of light can still drown
now that i think that out loud I recall hearing about imu's devil fruit being about water which would fit quite well with that theory
This old theory now have more sense, they're opposite
I mean like Aokiji, Luffy can shield himself from the oil
maybe, I don't really have much else to say about it
nami can make the clouds momo can use for holding up onigaishima
Correct me if I'm wrong, but during g3 we don't see luffy's arm/leg gradually increase in size, correct? The body part just enlarges, right?
Yep only some part for temporary
i thought of this funny thing that could happen on chapter 1044
at first joyboy wakes up and starts floating with glowing eyes lookin all cool and stuff and then the first thing he does is scratch his butt and says “YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS”
Is there any theories about kaidou's awakening??
It never gonna happens. Joyboy just a title, Luffy being himself not possessed mc like another
the will D to oppose Imu, oil and water
He already awakened. Just see his hybrid form in early it still looks human & only 2 fang but now he's become more like dragon his teeth now already sharp
We know zoan awakenings are just a boost to their physical abilities. the impel down guards are actually awakened zoans, so.
Ya. Awakened zoan is more beast/animal looking
But that's for regular Zoans mythical Zoans might be different
Arguably chopper awakened too, with the monster point mastery?
and robin as well, being able to replicate her entire body and becoming a demon, I'd say that's her awakening
It's still same. Mythical Zoan being different with another type of Zoan due boost external abilities
Natural rubber being Special Logia will be cool
The last 2 villains showed of there awakenings it would be kinda lazy for oda to say "kaidou was awakened" after the battles ends in Q&As
Yeah but zoans awakenings are not flashy. They just boost their physical attributes, which could explain why kaido is so strong/resistant
Cause anime that’s why
https://www.opfanpage.com/2022/03/08/kaido-has-already-shown-us-what-his-awakened-hybrid-form-looks-like/
This quite make sense due the typical characteristic
First of all let’s take a look at Kaido’s hybrid form, especially the face. His face on hybrid form has the same features as his regular face: sharp nose, “normal” eyebrows, and regular teeth (excep the fangs which grow larger.) However, in Chapter 1037 it’s possible to see for the first time what I believe […] More
Some of y’all think too hard about things in a series made for young boys lol
The way katakuri's fire attacks work is different than luffy's as well. We see katakuri's arm catching fire slowly, luffy's just does
I think Katakuri builds up pressure inside the arm, has it explode and launches it like a rocket, instead of using friction/speed like luffy does
Katakuri's and sanji's use friction. Luffy's doesn't. Simple explanation is how the attack works and how quickly it happens. As soon as the arm is stretched back it catches fire, all at the same time, no delay. Besides, luffy has thor attacks as well, and the thor elephant gun and red roc have the same setup, but cause two different effects, so it can't be friction
Point was that you don't need a fire based devil fruit to make fire attacks. Like Maes said, it's anime logic.
yeah, plus if you made too much sense out of something it takes the fun out of it sometimes. It's fun to think about and needs some logic, but not so much so it causes an uproar
Yeah, but also it's a different kid of fire attacks. Yeah it's anime logic, but at the same time there's consistency in how it works, so we can use it to differentiate between friction fire and devil fruit ability fire
Anime doesn't really need logic at all, just enjoy. Don't bring too seriously
yeah but also it's kinda fun to speculate right? We've got time to kill anyways, might as well look for clues and consistencies. Every good story has foreshadowing in some form, besides it makes the payoff even more surprising imo (especially when you thought you cracked it and then it turns out to be wrong
)
wow
This is what I think is going to happen.
In the cover story, it reveals Black Beard is going to attack whole cake island, and during this attack, Pudding frees Sanji's brothers, stating that Sanji's efforts to save them would have gone to waste if they ended up dying.
Blackbeard's crew destroys parts of the island, captures people, takes them as hostages, and Katakuri fights BB. But Black Beard wins, they take the ponoglyth.
Sanji's brothers do manage to escape, but as a "thanks" only because Pudding saved them, fight off some black beard pirates along the way. Judge does return to whole cake for his sons, only to see BB's there.
A lot of people died, half of whole cake is in ruins, Katakuri's critically injured, the BM pirates let the Germa go because A. they don't have the strength or will to capture then, and B. they unintentionally helped fight off black beard.
Did we learn which sword was that already?
I don't think so
At this rate it was probably Joy Boys and he used it to cut down trees
👀 luffy becomes a swordsman? Shadow luffy foreshadow?
LOL. 😂
half true
Sure, but it's still a story, and it has foreshadowing. Besides, it might be a shonen manga, but it does tackle more mature themes
not what I meant
I love theorizing and I obviously love one piece. But sometimes people are a little too critical about things. Take an ego check and realize it is just a story for young lads at the end of the day. Powers and cool things will just exist
So yes. Katakuri can use burning mochi because it’s cool. That’s simply it.
nah theres good theorizing in here a lot just not rn cuz the series is so hyped up theres so much random low teir discussion
either way this isnt theorizing talk so id move to manga or something
Okay guys I think the Momonosuke is gonna fight kaido next and hold him off for some time that way he can have his moment of bravery and if yamato and momonosuke fought together it would be really cool
People used to grill Oda for the whole sanji can make fire on his leg. I wonder if he always knew about the germa powers or what. But see at the end of the day everything comes full circle and there’s an explanation for everything
Guys I have a theory about buggy. There is no way in hell that he is as weak as he seems. Take into account that him and shanks were a team back in the day and he was part of roger's crew which means he was able to fight toe to toe vs whitebeards crew for example. Think about it hes a clown/joker which leads me to believe that he might be trolling everyone into thinking he's weak so he doesn't attract attention from the world government just until the end, when the final war will happen. All this time him trying to kill luffy etc. has been a way for him to test luffy to see if he is "joyboy".
I mean he fights mihawk and isn’t defeated lol
It might be still possible, since Luffy when he was kid using a pipe & imagine himself held a sword
exactly lol
I’d love to see at least a shanks / buggy reunion
Nah buggy is just him, he's weak not that weak but he just is
That would be cool, but idk. Might be out of place for luffy...although we have seen him use a sword already, so idk. I really hope nightmare luffy comes back in some form, it was super cool
Buggy is not weak by any stretch of the imagination. A man strong enough to be on roger's ship is not weak, he's just lazy
But I see it just don't suite him for now
He was a child you think roger can see the future he just saved him like blackbeard
What does that mean? 1) yeah roger probably had future sight and coud hear the voice of all things
2) all the roger pirates are monsters.
Reminder that buggy fought with shanks against whitebeard pirates. Sure he didn't duke it out with marco&co, but again he was just a child. Like please.
Let's not pretend roger would just pick up trash. Yeah he saved him, but he also kept him on board and didn't drop him off somewhere. Roger is still a pirate, he wouldn't keep a weak person around just because.
Buggy's awakening would be creepy as heck like Gildart 😂
is buggy lazy? Absolutely. Is he as strong as he could be? No, because he doesn't train. But he's not weak, nor a scrub. I wish he trained, and I wish oda shows us peak buggy at some point. Joke character or not he still was in roger's crew, he has to live up to the name
Roger picked up blackbeard to save him do you think he's just going around recruiting children to make them strong no they become strong cause they're with them
So you agree with me that buggy is strong because he was on roger's crew, thanks
buggy eventually left so he was not with them so he didn't get chance to get strong
Don't overthinking about Buggy, just wait the next Oda troll for him
When did Roger pick up blackbeard
The crew disbanded before anything could happen
Bro buggy after escaping impel down and the prisoners asking him if it was true he was part of the roger pirates and a brother of shanks after it was revealed to them. He said to himself "Damn, if word gets around, the government will keep an eye on me" This shows he has always tried to remain incognito inorder to not reveal his true power
Buggy gonna come in clutch to save sabo
Bro. Buggy and shanks fought against the whitebeard pirates. We saw it in an Oden flashback. So please. You can argue buggy is lazy, yeah he is. Is he top 10? Fuck no, not until he decides to train. But let's not pretend buggy was just along for the ride. Like, come on. Buggy is a lot like usopp to me, held back by his own cowardice/self doubt/laziness.
Or he's not strong enough to deal with the powerful world government
@analog crypt here
Comparison between Ussop & Buggy is a good example, both enjoy free followers and some aspects of their character are more or less similar.
I honestly believe usopp has all the qualities to awaken conqueror's. No joke, I just think he does. He has the drive, the ambition, but so far lacks courage and doesn't believe in himself. But once he overcomes that, which I hope happens in elbaf, I can see him having conqueror's
U have manga theory @swift patrol ?
Would also make sense for the three OGs to have conquerors. Luffy, zoro and usopp where the original trio
The king of lies
but seriously, so far his lies turned out true, and he lied about using conqueror's. So keeping with the theme, yeah. And yeah sniper king maybe? Or king of the giants
I can see him being the true captain of the grand fleet and the giants, sort of a roundabout way to achieve his lie of "I command a big pirate crew" he said way back when we first met him
It's plausible i guess
I think Usopp will be the leader of luffys grand fleet
Luffy doesn’t want to lead or is the type to command soldiers but usopp is
Yeah
That would also close the circle. Luffy has conqueror's mastery, zoro has armament and usopp has sight
I'm also very curious about the Ashura. Any theories on that?
i think zoro is fighting against death unconsciously, but since franky moved him, i bet he's lost now .. gonna take a while for his soul to return 😂
i think zoro is dead
Why do people find it so hard to believe that rocks has a right hand who hasn't been revealed in the story yet
that's it?
You throw them with all the evidence in the world and they keep saying it's shiki or wb lmao
This isn’t really the channel to vent about conversations. Rather than this, perhaps just post whatever theory you’re talking about and discuss it
Yeah your right bro one sec
nah he wont die until he becomes the best swordsmen and another reason to keep him alive will be that fans love him op popularity will go very low if he dies, like law didnt have an important role in the story originally but he made a lot of fans so his role was made important
@rain shadow C3H8
the strongest swordsman in one piece is clearly down d. stairs
Do you guys think kuina is still alive? Cause dragons ship was there when she “died” and if she is died why was dragon there then?
Theory: Rocks right hand is currently in impel down.
I believe that the right hand of rocks is the father of Portgas D. Rouge. Aka ace real grandpa.
Hakuba and shiryuu are the most blood thirsty we have in one piece to date. They both have white in their names. White dragon and white horse.
I believe the colour white is a reference to the fact that their blood lust is transparent at all times
Rouge means red in French. I believe the significance behind this naming is that her father is obsessed with the colour red and has extremely high blood lust.
I believe that the rocks crew is paralleled with the strawhats and just like luffys right hand will be the world's strongest swordsman.
I believe while shiryuu was in impel down he was trained by this guy.
This puts zoro and shiryuu on the same playing field as they were both trained by the world's best
Interesting
Another thing. I believe this guy created the crimson hell in level 1
i believe that is fujitora as there is no proof of him being a navy officer plus he's old and blinded himself because he saw something he shouldn't that may be something from when he was a member of rocks
Could be because we don’t know why shiryuu got locked up
So he could of been getting trained by a rocks right hand
I think fujitora and akiuno are related
I really want to see the battle between rocks and garp + roger
I would rather see shanks vs mehawk
ooh and we already know from the anime opening that we will know about rocks more in the few coming xhapters
Really? What was the opening?
Maybe we might get a kaido flash back once he sees luffy is joyboyb
Another thing.
I believe this guy is an obstetrician and helped big mom with her multiple pregnancies while on the rocks crew.
I believe he created the crimson hell via a blood fruit.
As a user of a blood fruit I believe he is an exceptional doctor.
For woman white blood cells are essential for child birth. And most woman who die from child birth die because of blood loss.
Think about the irony. A blood fruit user who is a genius obstetrician doctor of child birth had his own daughter die via blood loss because he was not there
they showed roger, WB then a figure like rocks face which they did not reveal fully it was dark and then shanks
Old shanks or baby shanks

Rouges father is a genius obstetrician who possesses a blood logia. Which essentially makes him a god of child birth. He helped big mom give birth to a large amount of her kids on the rocks pirates
Yet he was unable to save his own daughter of blood loss
The irony is perfect
there was no Wb
but this is not theory, this is essentially fanfiction
bringing random stuff and random connections without the slightest hint, all coming from your head, isn't a theory
he was a member of rocks pirates so maybe yes @serene plume
my theory about fujitora being on rocks ship is more convincing
Akainu has absolute justice, you think he's gonna accept former pirates?
Unless it’s his brother
Yes
They have a lot of similarities
Lol so does Kizaru
we do know Issho was drafted during the timeskip and fast-tracked to admirald due to his strength yeah, he wasn't a marine even 2 years ago.
but there's nothing about being part of Rocks, and he was just 16 by God Valley's accident. We do know Kaido was in Rocks as young as 15, so it's not impossible Issho was an apprentice there in the last year, but among all the fucked up things that happen in OP's world, that what Fujitora saw is specifically related to Rocks, is... weak to say the least.
So no, it's not really much more convincing
if the gorosei wants him he cant refuse them and we already know by shanks meeting the gorosei that they can have connections with pirates
i think ace is gay because he banged kaido while he was asleep
A gay would know what a gay thinks
hell yeaaaah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hmm what if he was just on the ship but was not doing much like kaido BM and WB
this channel isn't for retarded jokes
that's not a joke
this is real, my friend told me
I think it's too stretched to call Issho as former pirates let alone Akainu's brother.
Akainu even willing to kill a whole ship of civilians just because Nico Robin is on the ship.
You say that like Nico Robin wasn't one of the most important criminals in the world at the time that he did that, though
Akainu doesn't just casually slaughter
I realized that, and that kinda contradict with him accepting former pirates as an Admiral dont you think?
I mean he absolutely despise anything that had to do with criminals
Not at all, a former pirate with relatively low renown getting drafted into the marines because he's super powerful and willing to fight for them makes perfect sense
He doesn't absolutely despise anything to do with criminals, he goes after the particularly noteworthy ones
He hated Luffy and Ace because they were the offspring of the worst criminals in known history so far, not because they were just pirates. He didn't go out of his way to kill any of the other thousands of pirates at Marineford, and he approved of the warlord system and wished it didn't get disbanded
There is some sort of past with akainu and fujitora tho maybe not brothers but something
Now don't get me wrong, he's absolutely tenacious and extreme in his thinking, but the fandom really likes to make him out like he's a less composed Lucci when he wasn't even unique in his attitude among the marines at all
Unless Issho started out from Marine(like X Drake) I don't see that particular scenario is happening
Drake's never actually been a pirate
what if luffy's vivre card is burning rn
o ye i remember
That’s what I was thinking plus it has been probably burning and regrowing a lot lately
Then they will inform luffy about sabo
that'd be epic
i dont think all vivere cards burn i tink i depends on who it is
And help him escape from the Marnies out side wano
If they are gonna die it lose paper like aces Did
you guys are more friendly than when i brought up the vivre cards now... I got told if he died it burned up for good and they wouldn't know how to get there
but if that happened it had to be doing some crazy shit before that
Yea but it can re grow
it might start to just shrink because luffy stretches
luffys awakening(?) + joyboy reveal + coming of the grandfleet, nothings more exciting than that
I mean, technically he was, before the Corazón incident. But by force, like Koby
I guess the Marines have some criteria to accept youngsters who were forced into pirate crews. Plus that may have something to do with their SWORD recruitment - they learned about piracy from the inside
Look at aces paper for example. He wasn’t dead but he was hurt and week which made it burn and why would sabo grab a bad v card that only tells him where he is. He would get one to see who he is doing in health and other stuff
Just saying. If next chapter becomes another flashback, there’s going to be so much rage from fans.
Yea I don’t want to wait 1-3 months before we see the truth about luffy
As far as I remember, there's no record of vivre card growing, only burning a bit when the user is hurt and all of it when the designated user is died.
True, but I meant after he went to the marines lol
No, I probably worded it bad but like luffy took a lot of damage from kadio(burning his card) then get some or a lot of strength back ( regrowing fully or some to its natural size) and over and over again
@south verge
That would be awesome
Also when you think about it, when the world government ordered cp0 to kill luffy, did they want to awaken joy boy?
I don't think luffys death is necessary for this to happen we seen ace card reaction even when he was yet to die the same thing would have been already happened with luffys vivre card
I think shanks told the wg that luffy has the fruit that joyboy had but since luffy used it very different the wg didn’t regoninze it. So once they found out luffy had that fruit it meant he could do something that only that fruit can do with its awakening so they wanted to kill him before it’s to late
But In trying to kill him it awaken
Oh ur right i remember that one shanks scene
Shanks knows a lot about that fruit and how to awaken it so maybe he did it on purpose to awaken it I’m really not sure what shanks motives are
hey so I'm new here can we discuss possible oda foreshadowing in this channel. its related to the events of the latest chapter
Sure
This is from chapter 968. So it seems that there is in fact a very high chance that Luffy liberates Wano and opens the country up alongside momonosuke
Theory/Question. Or more like observation, I think. Do the drugs on fishman island have the same effect gear 2 has? Making you faster and stronger, or am i misremembering?
the steroid drugs makes you as strong as 1000 men.
I’m not really sure I think they use a lot of energy and make you age that’s why all the fish man are old
the more you eat, the more power you gain, but i think there is a limit and the sideeffect is old age
Because like, here's the thing. We've seen hody ingest the drugs and become faster, right? He was able to keep up with shiraoshi after all. But why didn't he start to steam? If pumping your blood faster/stronger makes you overheat and steam, why didn't he?
that would be epic, if the whole fleet arrives 😄
Wow, so much entertainment 😆
I don’t think so. Why would Shanks set up Luffy to be killed by the WG?
akainku devil fruit can make islands
Never have I wanted spoilers more
So can whitebeard’s
so you know how oda supposedly had a plan for one piece, that would last a couple years, and then not too far in when he realized he had a hit expanded his course and quickly landed at the ~20-25 year estimate he's mostly stuck to
I have some thoughts about early chapters, in the scope of his original plan, that still hold up with my current endgame theories
I think, from the beginning, Shanks has been intended to be an endgame antagonist... and that religion (notably Christianity) has been a core theme
which sounds silly but like, hear me out
Chapter 1, our protagonist is being watched over by this cool adult he looks up to, with his own band of followers, as he allows himself to get beat up by an onlooker without fighting back. not only does he watch on and get upset with him, not understanding this peaceful approach, but also ends up eating a forbidden fruit (...quite literally, a devil fruit), marking him with a curse. by the end of this chapter, he sees Shanks in a better light, fighting back to defend others, and even sacrifices himself for the cursed child, all before departing with a promise to return in the future. With how we still haven't seen Shanks and Luffy reunite since, it feels safe to say his return is being saved for the endgame... and that he was never intended to be a mentor, but rather an antagonist. In this context, Shanks is a Christlike figure, Luffy a (cursed) human. this is all symbolism being used before Joyboy was ever part of Oda's plan, and the 'ending he envisioned since before chapter 1' involves the clash of these two.
soon after we see the marines, who are the lawful group meant to contrast against the chaos of pirates. the first notable ones we meet are Coby, a child who wants to do good for the world, and Ax-hand Morgan, a corrupt official ruling his men through fear. This isn't to show that the Marines are evil, just fallible
and then with the introduction of Joyboy to the mix, and then much later showing us Imu, I believe those to be the Devil/God parallels in this mix. Imu presides unseen over a heavenly kingdom, his closest residents untouched by man, and Shanks is... well his right hand...
the original idea was probably to have a human explore the evils among law and chaos alike, to show that being good comes from what's inside, not from which path you choose, and this was expanded upon by building up forces on both sides later on.
I think both Luffy's and Blackbeard's fruits contain halves of Joy Boy, with their initial introduction showing them to be polar opposites, and Luffy remaining eerily silent while Blackbeard gave what should've been an agreeable speech on dreams. Even now, the reader doesn't really know why Luffy was put off by that speech, just that he made a comment afterwards that 'there was more than one'
So I think the Marines represent the church, Pirates represent free-spirited individuals, and the Revolutionary Army represent fallen angels, led by a Lunarian
We know that we have races that come from the moon, with sky people... and also Lunarians, a now-extinct race with a name that would imply they're from the moon, but it's stated they're from the Red Line. They're also the only other race that's humanoid with wings, though theirs are black instead of white.
and their bodies are capable of producing flame
this only furthers my idea that this reshaped world consists of a Red Line that was pulled from the moon itself, while that great ship Noah was likely used during the void century to flood the planet
Not much is known of Dragon, and I think that's absolutely intentional. but black wings would fit one named Dragon (possibly had and removed), his facial tattoos resemble the Shandians we saw on Sky Island (a second group of Sky People), and that he rules over the Revolutionary Army, which aims to unmask the schemes and secrets of the World Government
so yeah,
Joy Boy (Devil)
Dragon (High ranking Demon)
Imu (God)
Shanks (Jesus)
Garp (High ranking Angel)
Luffy (Mankind)
it almost feels like a shitpost but this symbolism like... actually works, both in the scope of the first chapter and the whole series
oh idc about that, I was typing a lot
oh but also yeah I think Dragon and Garp represent opposing philosophies, potential paths Luffy could take, but he's not going to want to take either
That’s a lot to take in
i think cheese theory holds up tbh
but yeah this current theory's has to do with others I've posted, both here and on reddit
I could’ve missed it but how is shanks Jesus?
so some parts I kinda just glossed over, like Shanks being not just a spy but like, literally an extension of Imu's will, controlling the world in ways that Imu himself couldn't
So shank is on a mission from imu?
well in Chapter 1, his behavior is pretty Christlike. shown to turn the other cheek, leaving with a promise to one day return. Then later in the paramount war, looking back, his actions benefited the WG far more than anyone else. (negotiations with Whitebeard failed, they parted ways, Shanks apparently held off Kaido then only appeared after both Whitebeard and Ace fell to 'put an end to things,' preventing any major marine losses or secrets from getting out)
oh, and the whole 'him appearing in Marijoa before the Five Elders' thing
all of those kinda come together to paint a picture, for me
in fact the only secrets that got let out were ones that made the pirates look worse, and showed that the WG was powerful enough to not just take down the Pirate King, but to discover and execute his son
WG op makes sense
Yea but why would shanks steal the df that he gave to luffy from the wg if he was with them?
Shanks being evil would ruin 20 years of the anime ngl idk a single soul whod be happy if he turned out bad lmao
oh I'm not saying WG isn't strong, just that Shanks appearing wasn't really 'heroic.' he put an end to the fighting, but I believe he waited until those deaths, not that he didn't make it in time.
Yea that might of been odas original plan but it would back fire and get shit on if shanks is bad
for 20 years we see shanks like at best once every 5 years make a rare appearance and his still so beloved by the fanbase then boom surprise he bad 💀
It’s not gonna go well trust me
I'm not saying he's evil, just that he's always had another agenda
With all these secrets the WG's hiding, you don't think we'll have one villain who believes that 'ignorance is bliss' might be the morally just approach?
His arrival time is sus too but it is a story so ig we could just sun it up to these sorts of things are intentional by Oda
Ah okay if it’s this it’s basically shanks has secrets guy then I agree ofc shanks has secrets he so bloody mysterious , lately@tho all I see is shanks is evil bad guy theories
I might be forgetting details that contradict this, but could Shanks not have been retrieving the fruit to bring to Marijoa?
Shank definitely has his on motives. If that’s to make joy boy fulfill rogers wish or help luffy
finaly battle shanks vs luffy
Nah since they attacked the marine ship it was already heading somewhere WG intended (my guess to Marie jois)
I'm not saying 'Shanks is evil and will start stabbing people,' but I wouldn't be shocked if we get 'Shanks won't let Luffy pass, because the world would be better off not knowing'
It was l going there anyways by who’s who which was a cp members
lol idk tbh he sacrificed an arm for Luffy in certain if shanks knew and he does know that Luffy will make a change he won’t stop him regardless of it’s impacts
Maybe he will stop him temporarily as a test to see if he is up to it so you’re right in a sense
true, but even early on we were shown that the WG is fallible. Imu having a right hand that acts as a pirate, walking among man, being able to break laws to do what's right, makes sense. Imu might've decided they don't trust that the fruit would absolutely have made it without someone stealing it for themselves, and had Shanks retrieve it
This is assuming shanks is working for Imu which tbh is already a Stretch
I mean, Shanks has been an emperor for a long while now. Do we really think Oda wasn't planning anything by that? That Luffy will finally meet him, and just give him a pat on the back and say 'hey, you made it!'
Personally I’m of the opinion shanks doesn’t even know Imu exists and that he merely thinks the gorosei are the toppest dogs
Top dogs* lol
whether he has seen Imu face to face or not, I still think it's odd that Shanks was there at all
Maybe but roger might off told him
Not rlly if you think about it , Shanks knew about BB he was there to warn them about him imo (80% sure), second point shanks is an emperor who is known for being rational so it’s not crazy for the gorosei to agree to meet him t see what he wants to talk about, third point I believe the gorosei are indeed strong and so are not frightened to meet him.
what if shanks is imu's son 🤔
Same issue, idk if Roger even knew Imu exists….
He had to
...oh, and yeah another theory about Shanks being a plant
Shanks was formerly in Roger's crew, who made it to Laugh Tale. Roger then shortly fell under 'an incurable illness' and brought himself to be executed in front of an audience.
Why?
I believe Shanks poisoned Roger
it holds up with everything else
bro u devil or what
He knew joyboy did and joyboy and imu I’m pretty sure we’re the main people of the void century
i love shanks why u making him the villain
He surrendered, I doubt at the time young shanks could’ve managed to poison Roger given the reasonably assumed strength and haki of his crew members
villains are often some of the best characters
and again, I'm not saying shanks is psycho 'stab people for fun' villain, but if anything very well could be a 'do what's right, no matter the cost' type.
Also do we know for how many years exactly was shanks in Rogers crew?
Shanks might be doing what he firmly believes is the 'right' thing to do. poisoning roger for discovering secrets man isn't meant to know, arriving late to the paramount war to ensure the deaths of whitebeard and ace, while keeping up appearances.
We’re not sure but we can aussme since he was 1-2 years old and was picked up at the god valley incident
...picked up at god valley huh
Man I think your going way to far with shanks being the bad guy
Lol he only learnt about joyboy after already crossing the grand line once, what makes you think he knew about Imu before that or even learnt it somewhere after he learnt about joyboy?
can you think of a single thing that actually contradicts this, or is it just 'I don't want shanks to be bad :('
if Shanks' role in the story hasn't been an eventual antagonist, then what is he? He surely hasn't been there as a mentor in any way
Isnt this a theory he joined after god valley? Not confirmed or canon so can’t be certain
He went to laugh tale which told the whole story of the void century which I think joyboy and imu were the 2 leaders
It’s a theory
if he would've died to inspire luffy, that would've been a while ago. The only thing that has me really curious is how the next film is supposedly about him, which feels weird that they'd do that when Luffy and Shanks haven't actually seen each other since chapter 1
Filler film
ahhh gotcha, still tho
I hope the film does something weird and we learn like, what Shanks did for these people, and half the film shows him doing good for the people in the past and half the film's about the straw hats being there in the present day
I don't want Shanks and Luffy to finally reunite after 25 years in a filler film
They won’t dw That would be the dumbest thing ever for the movie writers or Oda to allow
No, but saying he was poisoned roger even tho shanks cried right in front of roger and was crying at the execution
because Shanks is a human, with a heart. if he did poison Roger, he would've done so because he knew it was the right thing to do, even if it hurt him to do so.
Bruh based on everything we’ve seen shanks do so far in the story nothing points to him being that type of person…
we've literally seen him for a few scenes, and all of those few scenes work with what I typed
if anything it’s literally anti-shanks, some BB x Shanks mash up
it is just a theory, after all
What do you think he told the 5 elders then?
We already got the backstab pretends to be good but is evil character (BB) I doubt Oda will do it again
Obvious, he warned them about BB just like how he did to Whitebeard
Blackbeard killed another out of a selfish desire for power. If Shanks did backstab anyone, I believe it was because he was following orders from another, which is an entirely different character dynamic
yeah nothing at all points to some shanks plot twist. him speaking with the 5 elders is not inconsistent with any of his past behavior.
Again shanks has been written in a way where he would never do that lol it would be shit writing for Oda to make shanks do that the fandom would be in an uproar
How do people read and watch one piece for 25 years and go yeah shanks is the type of person who would do something objectively bad just cause someone ordered him to
I mean I believe both the Gomu Gomu and Yami Yami are mirror images of each other, and the 'name hidden from books' is Luffy's, between the two. Shanks may have finally told them about Luffy, after he made a big enough name to become an Emperor himself, or it might've been Blackbeard again.
it's the same as when he went to speak to whitebeard - he just wanted to prevent a war. and we've also seen that pirates team up with their 'enemies' to face bigger threats, like when roger worked with the marines to take down rocks.
you keep saying 'how do people think this' when I literally laid out why this could be possible
He does not give off “good soldiers follow orders” vibes that is something for the marines and akainu
do you have anything that contradicts this or just 'he's nice i don't think he would do that :('
it's much more likely that to shanks, the bigger enemy is wanton and reckless death
“He’s nice and wouldn’t do that is from the story the actual manga meanwhile ur stuff is potential headcannon so who is reaching more here? Me or you with the rubber stretching
ah! Akainu represents blind loyalty, doing what's asked without asking questions. hesitation is weakness, and evil.
That isn't Shanks.
Shanks is human, and has been told the 'just' path to take. He's nice to all, helps others, because as I said before: the Marines aren't meant to be evil, they're meant to be fallible. Shanks upholds the justice that they're meant to bring to the world, and I believe his role in the story is to protect the WG from having their secrets exposed, because 'ignorance is bliss'
and he is likely talking to the 5 elders about blackbeard, because he sees the same psychopathic killing behavior that rocks exhibited.
i dont think you understand who has the burden of proof.
I'm not trying to prove anything, I'm tossing out a theory as to why something could happen. so yeah, people saying 'this cannot happen because... it doesn't feel right' doesn't feel like it's contributing to anything
it is just highly implausible and unlikely based on what we know about Shanks
if you want to say why it wouldn't work, I'm all ears. I'm speculating, theorizing, and like I feel good about it but I'm not saying I snuck into Oda's office or anything, this is jus thow I've interpreted it
One thing I've noticed has been lacking in this discussion is the fact that we've been introduced to "reincarnation" explicitly in the story already, along with approximately what nature it takes. I'm referring to Shirahoshi, the "reincarnation" of poseidon. The "awakening" associated with this reincarnation occurred when shirahoshi was a child, at which point she managed to command the sea kings. However even a decade later she did not become a different person, and is even unaware that the awakening happened. Now luffy has been confirmed as the "reincarnation" of joyboy/nika, probably the second sovereign (though of course oda could be trolling everyone, I will assume this is the case verbatim). Being the second sovereign, why should his reincarnation have a totally different character from shirahoshi's? I find it safe to assume they are the same kind of reincarnation. In this case what does that mean?
Firstly, shirahoshi does not possess any memories from the previous poseidon. I don't know if her personality is similar, but from what little we know, the previous poseidon does not seem like a cowardly character (being classified as an "ancient weapon" and playing a part in the war). So seemingly reincarnation does not mean a literal reincarnation, transfer of skills, personality, purpose etc. The only indication we have so far is that shirahoshi has inherited a power, or a function which she may/should perform. This is maybe a little on the edge, but certainly it is consistent with inherited will. The power is analogous to an object passed down from a previous generation, if you prefer.
Secondly, about luffy. We do know that luffy is reminiscent of joyboy, but very importantly these traits were luffy's before his awakening (zuneshia did not detect joyboy in luffy when he visited). Along with the comments by the gorosei about how rare it is for the fruit to awaken (well, this would be the first time since the void century), maybe this simply means that luffy inherits a specific function in the form of his awakened devil fruit power, which would not awaken for anyone who did not already possess joyboy's likeness.
To summarize, I believe reincarnation in one piece is essentially exactly the same as the passing down of the hat. Joyboy and poseidon passed down their proverbial hats a long time ago and they were inherited by luffy and shirahoshi without them knowing, in the form of some tool which could help them fulfill joyboy and poseidon's wills. Note that in both cases these tools are in a sense physical. Shirahoshi's power had been passed down from generation to generation in the royal family until the rare case where it manifested in her. Luffy's fruit is a devil fruit. It has probably had dozens of users and changed hands until one day it was eaten by someone capable of awakening it. By awakening these ancient powers, they are "reincarnating" the functions of the sovereigns of the void century.
Bruh all my counters to ur points so far are based on shanks characterisation so if that doesn’t count as good counter arguments then idk what does.
I'm just saying Shanks has had about 1 chapter's worth of actual screentime, which isn't enough to lay an infallible characterization, yet he fills a major role in the story. The theory I'm laying out would be a twist, revealing what we don't know about his character, and would explain some of his odd actions taken to this point.
In the entire show so far there’s really only one scene which can be called an odd action which is the gorosei scene which there are already reasonable potential explanations which don’t require him being evil or bad/sus etc
also like, take Garp. He's a Marine, and he's shown to be a high-ranking, 'good' person. I believe Shanks believes the good the WG brings to the world is worth hiding its secrets to do so, and Luffy will believe the truth is more important.
That's the kind of conflict I see
The first time luffy and shanks met was when I believe shanks wanted to give the Devil fruit to ace since it was very important but luffy ate it instead. Plus luffy said the same thing roger said. That’s why shanks gave him the hat. Then he protected luffy a lot like raising a son. Shanks set the path for luffy. I also think he is protecting the road ponyglioph at elbalf waiting for the luffy to come and prove to him that he is ready to change the world. Shanks role will be protecting luffy from black bread and die trying
my criticism regarding that stance is that Shanks has pretty much staked the future on the new era epitomized by Luffy.
I just think at least one Marine is going to take the 'the world will be happier if no one knows' approach, and I think it'll either be Shanks or Coby
there are already pirates and marines taking that approach. rayleigh and garp for starters
shanks and dragon could team up eventually and i find that to be interesting
Another issue is even if Oda did decide to do what you are theorising, and he flips a switch and suddenly shanks an opp that’s 20 years of irl time of shanks’ character wiped clean and made invalid, it just doesn’t seem viable given how close we are getting to the end, not to mention perhaps the biggest issue the fandoms reaction to such a drastic change, no doubt it wouldn’t be well received
I disagree, I think once the truth of the void century comes out, there will be a revolt, because whatever occured in that time period is that bad
or could fight but we’re close to something with them after luffy awakening is shown
This isn't a case of the WG being like "woopsie we went to war and did some wholesome chungus 100 things" that can be excused as being done for the greater good. It could very well be a case of the WG committing a great cleansing in the Void Century and with them planning to do so again
Damn I was reading that why delete
cz I copied and pasted it here
i do like that theory. i already suspected that joy boy was uranus, so it follows that joy boy awakens like poseidon
it was this
what is the most probable outcome to this moment we’re seeing? historic events changing the world i think 5 elders get involved hence shanks / dragon
exactly this, my theory is that Shanks knows. He was there with Roger. This wouldn't be a case of his character being wiped clean, I feel this kind of twist was intended from the start. Note that even with how nice Shanks was being in chapter 1, Luffy's first response was to lash out and say his actions were wrong.
Later in the chapter, he decided Shanks was cool... after watching him fight the bandits off. and then in Jaya, in the bar with Bellamy, we see a parallel with Luffy refusing to fight back... but he walks off with a cold, blank expression, not really understanding why Shanks' peaceful option was 'good.' Shanks was an initial inspiration for Luffy, but fundamentally they're very different people, who aren't going to have the same outlooks on life.
shanks wasn't there
yeah didn't he stay behind with buggy?
^
Shanks was... somewhere
ok whether he was on the island or not, he knew Roger was there, and if he had been a plant by that point I think he would've known what Roger saw because of it
he would have had to poison roger before roger saw it
he’s making his move soon
maybe the one man Shanks was telling them about was Joy Boy, and how he had reincarnated into two men
which is why he was crying
everyone was crying...
I think shanks told them something about luffy and that’s why the wg is so scared of luffy rn
My theory is that shanks sell luffy out to the Gorosei but not telling them everything so they kill him and revive JOYOBOYO without knowing it wich make shanks the ultra master mind
well we don’t know about this awakening so what if he was warning the actual awakening in luffy you feel me
that the Gomu Gomu was really a fake name given to the antithesis of the Yami Yami, one that represents Joy Boy's free spirit, while Yami Yami represents Joy Boy's thirst for power
"eyy gorusei this luffy kid is kinda whack you should step aside and let him achieve the dawn of the world. You can retire in the bahamas after btw"
Joyboy is already awakened
Ig
yeah at this point I think it's much more likely to actually be Joy Boy reincarnation stuff than just 'oil/resin'
joy boy could be the awakened person or awakened state of df although i prefer person
I know we're skeptical on reincarnation/destiny after other series, but if that's what Oda's doing it's been laid out for decades
nah joyboy is a title as well as a person.
Original guy 800 years ago-Joyboy
People who uphold his dream of freedom for the world-titled joyboy
Maybe like luffy has the fruit that makes them joyboy and if it awakens he will have the power
But what he didn’t tell the elders was that there were requirements to complete to awaken it and dying was the last requirement
So secretly he just made the fruit awaken
just how Julius Caesar's name became Kaiser and Tsar. A name becomes a Title
what do y’all think luffy actual power will be
And what IF shanks dad eat the gomu gomu no mi and was one of the joyboy pretedent yet he died and shanks took the see to know better about all that, it will make him a strong drived caracther yet a dark and sad one
like some type of stretch or liquid ability or ??
I dont think it will change to be honest
Luffy represents the epitome of free spirit. whatever he wants to happen, happens.
GER Luffy
u don’t think it would be like a ability where punches can go through him ? that would be nice
so just a logia upgrade?
yeah lol
Maybe his fruit is secretly a logia and it’s power was locked away because luffy couldn’t handle the full power
No i dont think that will be too much of a change he will have all new attack that we dont know and that cont be introduced i cant see it in a narrative way
he got a df that has all 3 in some way
Yea
that would be so cool fr tho
For that i think his abilities wont change much like a whole other power
Then he vs bb who has 3 df 1 of each
anyway I'll stop typing for now but you'll see
I've cracked the code, Joy Boy's real name is Davy Jones, he fought back when Imu brought people from the moon, and Imu responded by flooding it and placing a piece of the moon as a slice of heaven on earth, and Joy Boy's promise with the fishmen to keep Noah safe for his return is so he can enact his revenge and use ghost ship Noah to flood the earth again, wiping the world of Imu's grasp
ok now I'll stop typing
yeah it makes sense
you think imu is immortal ?
we don't know much about them, but... until proven otherwise, yeah
they're a phantom figure who presides over the Five Elders. Doesn't exactly seem like a monarch position one can be born into.
You think Kaido was trying to kill himself to become Joyboy?
mayyyybe. not entirely sure.
Or just for that glorious death?
In fact it s perfect for a born position to me we can maybe see the plot with the ope ope no mi but it dont sell well in my book
Joyboy
actually, probably yeah. I think he knows that Joy Boy is prophesized to return when a great warrior is on the brink of death, and that's why he tried to go out in a grand fashion, and his disappointment when others (Luffy, Oden) who had the same kind of charisma didn't show any signs near death
like he look frail as fuck as he was a girl, a princess
we see a ton of monarchial characters within Marijoa, and yet not one of them knows Imu. quite literally, Imu's been shown as a King of Kings, a title often given to God... and he literally presides over a heavenly kingdom
I'm not saying Imu literally created the universe, but that they very well could be several centuries old, representing that kind of timeless 'perfect' ruler
So Joyboy directly connects to the will of D. We know now.
And every D that died, did so with a smile. That was remnants of Joyboy leaving his impression on them.
I think the will of D is a mark the WG (Imu) place on anyone who knows too much, a secret that must be purged, at risk of inheriting Joy Boy's will.
the devil fruits allowing for reincarnation need to be with someone at least deserving of the initial for Joy Boy to awaken, though the initial is WG-assigned
I think that the strawhat is a vivre card to someone on laughtale
True yet i cant see Imu to be immortal because if so whats the point to hide yourself ? Imagine Imu is The strongest among the strongest then he should rule without fail thats what the GM does and all strong entities does in OP yet he stay hidden like he's fragile
I can see some fucked up dinasty rulling the world and being stuck scheming to protech their privileges but not a super overwhelming individual
It would be super easy to arrive if it was the case lol
Roger had the straw hat for at least 30 years and still had to research 13 years and make a ton of detours, and ultimately asking his biggest rival to borrow a crewmate
The only difference between every other D and Luffy is that Luffy is the chosen child of prophecy
yes
Easier to rule as a 1 person dictatorship if the populace doesn’t know you exist
I was clearly joking just like all of these other theories
yes
lol
yes
whats the point having elderies supp you like their are your professor then ?
Sorry I can't tell at this point
This channel isn't supposed to be for memes but people are already out of control anyway lol
So when Luffy died. He was able to fully inherit Joyboy's will. Now we need to wonder. How will Kaido react when he sees Luffy is Joyboy?
Wat?
I think he got so close to death that Joyboy’s consciousness inside the straw hat has asserted control
Will Kaido be in awe or anger? I am very curious.
kaido gonna go “wororoorodor”
I don’t think enough people know who Joyboy is. Kaido will just be like “huh”
cant u see the gorosei are like big intendants supporting Imu, like they were gramps servant
They’re just meant to be the public face for Imu
what if imu is the children of the last imu and the gorosei are the intedents of the last imu and continue their mission with KIDimu like perceptors
I like that idea of that. I always thought it was odd that not all that had a D were not from the same family. So for sure the D is not a family name.
imu prolly knows joyboy via fight
to me Imu is a teenager like luffy confirmed
Because why ?
I smell it HARD
Ah okay valid
imu is a celestial being like i don’t think imu is one of us just my opinion
a creator not one of creation
no, Kaido knows who joyboy is
We saw it King's flashback
I don't really believe they created anything, but they did bring civilization down from the heavens (probably the moon itself), and has some power granting (near-)immortality
well, they may have created the Red Line, and reshaped the map
yeah seriously um... have you looked at the world map in a minute
the name of the first half of the grand line is 'paradise' with the second half being 'new world'
the moon ppl and lunarians i wonder what the back story is with them
Isn't that right? Kaido directly refers to Joyboy in King's flashback?
the map is literally an endless expanse of sea, with a single continent in the middle, housing the kingdom that rules over all other kingdoms. and plastered right down the center line of that map is
"New World || Paradise"
do u think luffy is breaking the red line w a punch 🥊
so yeah, pretty firmly believe that Imu brought people down from the heavens, flooded the world during the void century, and the current state of things (and the hidden truth behind it) is all as Imu intended
same
...also won't go all the way back into it but like come on Shanks being the right hand for someone?
I'm proud of that theory and still believe in it
More seriously Dolfi seems to know the truth (hes the one speaking when we first saw imu, and he speak about how volatil is the power) the gorosei are chickening all day like their ace is weak asf each time an event occur and i have a strong feeling that imu is not the powerhouse we think he's. Hes power is more than just canon, he politicaly got the world in hs hand
nop
I'm not going crazy am I? Kaido knows Joyboy. I thought that was confirmed.
Like-
He said it during his fight with Luffy. Am I being gaslit?
Not personally…
And the ultimate thing that make me think that imu is a young princess his her maid like she got a young maid like all princess does
like long dress playing wih butterfly a young maid
what more than that do you need to see shes a young princess scheming to maintain power
Isn't it cool that this is the arc that the Monster Trio are becoming "monsters?"
OR OMG maybe imu is JOYOBOY ex wife ?!
true Kaido knows of Joyboy..most likely from King who is a Lunarian and his people have been waiting for Joyboy for centuries
Yeee
what if sanji is found sitting next to zoros body lighting a j after luffy deafeated kaido and he passes him the j and says “take a hit my nika”
😭😭😭
Bruh
well Sanji does like to smoke ALOT
when he’s stressed too
and we will got one badass fem character because BM is humiliated each case of this manga
I totally missed this, I like this theory. Kinda ties in with the way the Gomu Gomu was said to grow from the Gomu Gomu tree originally lol
any theories on next chapter. Oda said Wano ending would be a big surprise..just what is he plotting?
Well. The way you make rubber from nature is from tree sap.
Resin, specifically.
Right
i think since WG got rid of the Warlords, WG may have the new SSG weapon on ships outside Wano and they attack Onigashima trying to wipe out remaining pirates
Mark my world chat i discovered who Imu, when the darkness on that mystery will vanish remember that I licheman420 knew it from the start
Kidd's Awakening is kinda sick. 『ASSIGN』
I'm just saying I totally cracked the endgame 😎
no matter what anyone else says i still love Kidd
Kidd is mean af. But I like him.
Thanks!! Glad you liked it
There was a video I saw last night that honestly made a lot of sense that Luffy's fruit was a Resin based ability, not a Rubber based one. Reason being that Resin more closely matches the characteristics of Luffy's abilities, including (but not limited to):
- Being much softer and more flexible under heat (Gear 2nd)
- Being largely more inflatable (Gear 3rd/4th)
- Generating smoky red flame when heated enough to ignite (Red Hawk)
- Maintaining flexibility even in a solid state (Gear 4th)
- Electricity resistance (Has the same resistance as normal natural rubber)
He's made of resin (how did that happen?)
Yohoho he took a bite of gum gum.
Long time lurker and lover of OP community content. One thing I haven't come across in theories is the idea that devil fruits carry remnants of the souls of previous owners. By no means do I think I'm smart enough to have thought of this first, and I'm sure others have talked about it. Just haven't seen it yet. Wouldn't this give the WG reason to be terrified of the gomu fruit, if it carries the memories/souls of Joy Boy a/or Nika?
What's more, since Dressrosa, we've received povs from antagonists expressing their confusion on why Luffy's body seems to be so strange, as Rubber doesn't seem to match up with some of the properties of Luffy's attacks.
I do think Luffy’s rubber qualities reflect properties of resin, but I don’t believe that means ‘the secret name of the rubber fruit is the resin fruit’
I think Oda just took some properties of different aspects of rubber, and used them as ‘upgrades’
Yeh is a gud theory
I do love how this theory connects to the idea of the Adam Tree, the holy tree of knowledge. Can't remember exactly what it's called in OP world, but it has ties with Fishman Island I think? And the Adam Tree's sap would have given birth to the resin / gomu DF directly.
I think the secret nature really is more in line with Joy Boy’s free spirit, reflected in physical form
OK, so why are people so set on making theories based on chapter numbers when oda himself said he doesnt pay attention to them???
I do think Oda does some with numbers, but definitely not every little number
It does have ties with a sister tree, Eve the Sunlight tree, which provides light and warmth to Fishman Island so far deep in the sea.
100 entered the grand line, 500 introduced Rayleigh, 600 timeskip
People don't want to find the truth, they just want to be right
I think Oda does more wordplay stuff than number stuff.
milestones have had major moments, but not every single time
and I think Oda realized a little while back that nothing super huge would happen around 1000 and didn’t go out of his way to cram one in
Milestones are one thing and there have been a few
What Hanapepe asked is about the number wordplay thing. Which I personally think it's utter bullshit
i have thought of that too..Especially since in Shandora they would ring the golden bell for their ancestors souls to enter the trees..maybe fruit grew from those trees
I think if he can time something for a milestone, he does, but he doesn’t go out of his way to do so
It's harder to parce wordplay stuff tho because it doesn't always translate well in English.
You would need someone who understands the language to tell you
my thoughts on number play are similar to milestones: If he doesn’t have to go far out of his way, he might, but he won’t write the story to do that
it doesn't translate well in any language, but it's not just that
it would require to force a precise chapter-per-chapter calibration of the content to add, which is humanely impossible. Oda already struggles enough deciding which panels to discard each week, if he could he'd release 30 pages per chapter
You know this was somewhat based off the fan-made reverie comic, but I'd like to imagine that there's a 3rd Tree, one where all Devil Fruit originated and return to if they don't find a nearby fruit to regenerate into:
The Devil Tree, Seth.
Its called Seth since in Genesis, Adam and Eve had another son named Seth who was born after Cain killed Abel.
introducing rayleigh is a stretch too. it just so happened to be chapter 600. just saying people shouldnt put so much faith into chapter numbers=hints at the story
Which btw the Cain and Abel story may also have some parallels between the 20 kingdoms and the ancient kingdom
Perhaps the 20 kingdoms were spurred on by Jealousy over the prosperity and blessings of the Ancient kingdom
Ray was 500
but there's some degree of truth in the milestone thing, although it wasn't always that way.
700 was the fnnouncement to the world for both Luffy/Law and Kid/Apoo/Hawkins alliances
800 was the creation of the Straw Hat Fleet
900 was Bad End Musical
1000 was the start of roof piece
And waged war to wipe it out, and subsequently covered up their reasoning and misdeeds
then again, it's much easier to adjust content every hundred chapters than on a weekly basis as yuderon believers think
Which theory have you got your money on
The monkey king theory or the resin theory
Neither, straw hat imbued with soul of Joyboy theory
Hence why the giant straw hat is frozen in Marijois, to prevent whatever beings soul is inside it from finding a host
i dont even know what the monkey king one is
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monkey_King this makes sense too
since Sun Wukong has his staff that extends at will. so Luffy's awakening mightve unlocked the zoan type of his otherwise seemingly paramecia devil fruit
The Monkey King, known as Sun Wukong (孫悟空/孙悟空) in Mandarin Chinese, is a legendary mythical figure best known as one of the main characters in the 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West (西遊記/西游记) and many later stories and adaptations. In Journey to the West, Sun Wukong is a monkey born from a stone who acquires supernatural powers throu...
but really like the resin resin fruit idea
resin makes more sense because of connecting hints from previous chapters Oda left us
while I believe Sun Wukong is also a viable option considering Luffy's transformation in Thriller Bark
his name is literally Monkey
and he said "nika"
it's still a viable theory
i think gear 4 was a step in the right direction as he looks more and more like a monkey-zoan
Do yall know any good long one piece theory on youtube that is good explained?
Nah not really
Inherited Will is a great place to start. Then Jaya+Shandora+"one piece" being the other missing island
What fucking monkey looks like balloon
Do u know any youtube channel?
Tekking101, BDA Law put out good content with the usual hot takes from Ohara. But, my favorite has always been Joyboy Theories
wrong reply my b
In short I think the resin theory is more likely. What the resin theory has going for it is that it is only a small change from the gum fruit. There is no need to explain how the gum fruit is secretly a zoan, and the rubber abilities are well accounted for. Furthermore resin feels (to me at least) like a type of power that fits with the style in One Piece -- which religious figures do not. Also, Luffy's hair on the final panel that looks like goo can be explained as resin.
What the Monkey King theory has going for it is that it sounds like a big deal. The WG would worry about that sort of power, while resin is hard to see as superior to lots of other devil fruits in the series. Furthermore it would completely Momotaro myth by having a mythical monkey devil fruit enter the fray. Personally I do not find the monkey+dog+pheasant theory very convincing, but for some it looks like a strong structure in the current story.
but be prepared to be spoiled completely when consuming their content
Im on last chapter
they literally spoil everything with the exception of tekking
IM SO FUCKING HYPED
TBH have cutting attacks really been that much of a weakness for Luffy? He's managed to always push through sharp teath, bullet, swords and needles.
if you can handle tekkings delivery his raw content, he's decent and the fact that he puts effort into not spoiling/clickbaiting his viewers
Since only sharp thing can go through him then yeah, its kind of weakness
kill his brother in front of him is a weakness i think
I think luffys fruit is the same as joy boys if he had a devil fruit
U wrong for this one☠️
that's a fact
It is?
its pretty much confirmed Zunesha told us so about Joyboy from 800 years ago
and how he feels the same energy coming from Luffy upon his alleged awakening
so Joyboy had the same powers/DF as Luffy rn
And that why the WG wanted that fruit
what I'm really curious about is if Shanks knew the full potential of the Gomu Gomu No Mi
Probably yes
exactly, that large straw hat in mariejois is Joyboys hat
Shanks is such a good character even tho i know zero shit about him
im not sure why they are keeping it locked up tbh...
we don't know that the giant straw hat belonged to Joy Boy. It is just the most common idea
Like why would he be so mad by luffy eating it,for normal people its just useless fruit that u can stretch with
i think the plan was for Shanks to consume it or take it to Ace (which doesn't make sense in terms of timeline since we don't know if Ace had already consumed the mera mera no mi back when Luffy accidentally consumed the gomu gomu nomi)
Why would u be so mad if someone ate that like yeah df kinda expensive but ye
i mean it is a DF.... and a kid not in their crew consumed it
Yeah but not that much mad like he was going insane
but idk why you'd be carrying around a DF like that across the seas
Its just df tgat can make u stretch
if they were gonna consume it. they were searching for someone with the will of D that can carry on Joyboys will
and to me I think that was Ace at the time considering he was Roger's son
Or just shanks was waiting for the righ moment to eat it
Portgas D. Ace
Yk makima does not like short pps
that still makes no sense to me, why delay eating such a fruit?
the sooner he takes it the sooner he can unlock its potential
I’m wondering what shanks thought of ace
but the whole concept of being on the brink of death to unlock your devil fruits awakening is fascinating to me
Bink's Sake GOATED btw....
Cool dude, he was really popular
There's definitely a connection between Shanks and Ace we don't know about
Nah imo nothing deep
I should check into the timeline when Ace consumed the mera mera no mi
Imo shanks wanted luffy to eat it
Ace had not consumed the flame fruit when he departed from his home town as a 17-year-old
seems like Ace also consumed it as a kid
Ye
But after hw became pirate
ty so the it's safe to assume Ace has not eaten any DF anytime around when Luffy consumed his
yeah it was definitely going to Ace
but when Luffy ate it, Shanks was probably damn... fuck it lets entrust Joyboy's will onto Luffy and give him the identical hat as joyboy's
I think in some manga bonus story(idk how is it called) there was drawed ace where he ate the fruit and suddenly he started to be on fire so he panicked
Sorry for my bad english.
and that was when he was still a kid or grown up teenager?
It is easy to hypothesize that Shanks wanted to give the gum fruit to Ace because he was Roger's son. Shanks may or may not have considered himself for eating it, but as he said he wanted to bet on the next generation. Also, we don't know whether or not Shanks is in the D. clan. It might be that the gum fruit can only be awakened by a D.
When he became pirate
Shanks probably had an idea that there's more to just eating a DF and gaining powers imo
Wait but how could shanks now that ace is skn of roger
and he was searching for the "right owner" to unlock Joyboy's will
as we already know only a select few can awaken a DF and it has to do with something along the lines of "inherited will"
we don't know, but it is curious that the Red Haired pirates were loitering about exactly on the island where Roger's son was
Luffy's ambition lined up with joyboy's and his failure to deliver on his promises to the world and specifically to the Fishmen
and he was on the brink of death and was able to awaken and unlock the full potential of his powers
Depends but i think yes
thus Zunesha being able to recognize him as Joyboy
Like mochi mochi no mi should be logia but it isnt
Didnt he say that he feels joyboy?
well I guess we'll have to find out if Gomu Gomu no mi is truly a paramecia or logia or a zoan/paramecia type
but we have not seen any zoan/paramecia type
Katakuris
Imo both the wukong and the resin fruits sound super unlikely
but that also puts Crocodile's logia powers into question... sand is not an element
There’s a rubber tree
Chatter
But its natural
true!
Nami is gonna play a role in Luffy’s New Ability, She was just brought back last chapter to confront Kaido as Luffy unlocked his Awakening/Joyboy moment. Also this color page foreshadows Luffy as a Shandorian similarly to Sun God Nika, more importantly this color page is from Chapter 175 解放 which can be translated as Release or Liberation....
idk more and more Sun Wukong theory sounds more plausible than the Resin fruit
Imo luffys awakening will be something like doflamingos
idk i feel like resin fruit makes more sense considering how Luffy will save Wana from Onigashima falling onto the Flower Capital
he can create a resin-like environment around him that would bounce off any damage to the city
The fact that their is a bunny on the tiger head too could mean something, carrot???
but idk how much Momonosuke can hold up Onigashima with his clouds
I wouldnt call it resin it will still be gum imo, just more melted
so it might not be such a good speculation of how post-kaido-defeat will play out
Maybe Tama? And the Kibi Dango
I think he is actually made of solidified crude oil or resin and it has something todo with his heart, something like before he was struck down by kaido he used hardening on his heart bc he couldn't do anything else. Then the impact of the hit was like a Jumpstart for his hardened heart.. theoretically if his heart had to work harder to beat and it was hardened it would make friction.. thus causing his body to melt.. the hotter his blood burns the more his body would melt and then he could reshape it like mochi and harden it.. that would mean awakening his fruit could only be done in the heat of battle and the sound zenu heard beating was luffys hardened heart pumping fast enough to cause the friction needed melt.
"AKA the drums of liberation"
Theoretically speaking this could also align with the luffy is Wukong theroy bc he could look like him by riding his own steam clouds bc oil rises with steam and sits ontop of water.. also he could create a staff that stretchs and hardens from his own skin.. and have fur/goop on his head, forearms, shins, and a goop tail.
Just my take
for now, i'll stick with the Sun Wukong theory more than the Resin theory
ONG
Wukong awakening is bs imo
I just read the pinned comment of the theory of luffy's devil fruit in this channel I kinda agree with it and I don't I agree with the nature of it but not the naming. I would look into that
makes sense considering Red Hawk
it still has its merits. nobody know yet
Didn't shanks said he didn't want to eat the gomu gomu because he and his crew need to swim?
Nobody knows but even resin is better theory in that
Ye
how tho? Luffy's abilities match 1:1 with hanuman
idk maybe gomu gomu no mi puts a limit on the plot where they fight the WG in the end because DF users wouldn't be allowed to swim to Laugh Tale that's sunken into the ocean
I think he won't be wukong but one pieces embodiment of wukong by using the resin to look like a monkey
I think shanks and his crew plus roger and his crew never ate devil fruits and I think shanks has the same reasosing as roger being that roger has a reasoning
the ending to One Piece will be even more grand than any other anime ending I can think of
all the clues and plot coming to fruition
I think roger had a fruit, the same one dragon has. Didn't the roger pirates escape from shiki thanks to a sudden change in wind, the same way dragon changes/brings storms wherever he goes?
Its called luck
was Enel ruling Skypeia back when Roger visited?
Yeah maybe, but when you consider that dragon has the same "luck" there has to be something going on. Either an ancient zoan or whatever
I don’t think roger had a DF
Like awakening of the fruit still has the power of that fruit, just better nah? What does monkey have to do with gum
No godfall was
Roger is similar to Shanks i think just raw haki
It's not gum tho? Kaido confirmed it, it doesn't act as gum does
and he had other powerful DF users in his crew
Shanks probably just came in for clean up and 1v1 with bosses
Kaido had so much alcohol in him it coul kill fucking elephant
I bet Shanks saw how powerful Roger was and thought to himself I dont need a DF to become the pirate king
yeah and? he's still clearly lucid enough to know what he's talking about
- its still more comparable to gum than some monkey
Nobody said anything about monkey tho. the mythical zoan model hanuman doesn't have to be an animal
like with sengoku's buddah
i do agree the Sun Wukong theory isn't all that plausible considering the low probability Luffy's awakening = zoan
but i mean if he can manipulate his body to any shapes and hardness he wants, he might as well be a zoan
I think oda is trolling us big time with the volume cover spread. The monkey king pointing at resin, come on
and maybe that's what makes the gomu gomu no mi op compared to other paramecia DF
Don't think so
What panel, can u send it please
it could have that zoan capacity along with allowing for things to move through him like liquid giving him logia ability
man i just hope Oda doesn't make Luffy way too op
be might have a df w all 3 where bb has 3 df
there's still Elbaf and Laugh Tale arc left
i want more juice left by the time we get there
Thats not that much time
what's the current theory on where Luffy will face Shanks
luffy will have his own category of greatness when it’s all done
or will they ever go against each other or will Shanks just be an alliance
Possibly elbaf
Elbaf is where the last Road Poneglyph is located
buggys right ballsack when he impregnates shanks for the one piece oda literature genius > shakespear
Elbaf with shanks will answer a lot
theres no time for elbaf
dude Oda confirmed Buggy can remove his dick
luffy dick armament haki 😵💫
how so? give me some ideas
and throw it to girl's faces
call it a Dick Move
shanks with the WG
bugy dick clown
I think the WG already knows they can't take on Shanks 1:1 and Shanks just dropping by warning them about what's to come and the trouble Blackbeard pirates will bring
chapter 1039 color spread
Appreciate it thank u
true
Idk if he's trolling big time, but it's a literal monkey king pointing at resin. So idfk.
Yeah either he's trolling like "look at resin, jk" or he's confirming it idk. Or he's saying "monkey king made out of resin"
the fact that Luffy was able to hop on those resin bubbles in the Fishmen arc without any issues was HELLA SUS though
Thats too obvious imo, why would oda do that
idk that monke looks like the Sun Wukong reference... but he's pointing to that resin-like substance
Because the fanbase is dense and won't accept the foreshadowing even when it's spelt in bold red letters. Like when people kept saying the gorosei weren't talking about luffy's DF
Luffy's fruit OH SHIT, THAT RESIN ON THE RIGHT!
I actually did have an idea about trees. There's rubber trees and some gum came from the rubber resin from trees.
its like he's hella teasing us
exactly theres a connection to Luffy's alleged Resin powers to the big ass tree
when we find out we will be mindblown mark my words
there's a reason why the WG fears the gomu gomu no mi and especially its awakening
Oda basically saying you see this shit
Heck, what if every fruit started out as a gum gum fruit, plain simple and from trees, but they got modified to have powers>
And Luffy just has the basis fruit. A blank slate that provides him with stretching abilities
it probably poses greatest risk to them hiding the void century
Why exactly do u think wg is feared of gomu gomu, did they say it?
i was there during the meeting i can confirm its about gomu gomu no mi
it's like a key that is able to unlock and all the secrets from the void century
yes hold up
Respect
Inb4 the gomu gomu is just a normal fruit and luffy is just very flexible
not on Elbaf
@elfin void
Will luffy and shanks even fight? Or will they join forces without fighting
i mean god dayum
DAMN WTF
dude right? shit blows my mind
How do i not remember that
That's too smart for theorists. You gonna fall into Oda's trap to becoming mainstream. Clearly Luffy never was a Rubber human. Jokes aside, the Gorosei were not talking about Luffy
and Zunesha on that panel... and also the same Zunesha saying he hears Joyboy in Luffy's presence now
Ngl would be better if shanks just died
I think it may also be the fact the WG is afraid of anything from the VC surviving. They put a bounty on an a little girl who escaped an island they destroyed. where they also murdered innocent parents and childen.
They were, at this point if you still think they weren’t idk what to tell you
honestly i wouldn't care lol shanks has no emotional impact on me since his presense is always off the screen after he lost his arm saving Luffy
So if it was JB's fruit, they would freak the fuck out not wanting anyone to risk tracing/revealing it
Man wtf, robin literally knew how to read poneglyphs ofc they want her dead
most of the fan base has no emotional attachment to Shanks purely due to his frequent absence from the canon
New film RED will change that perspective of yours
I really want a shanks vs blackbeard showdown
My balls seriously hurt, any tips
If you read OP, since a very long time you can feel those Oda traps easily. Well whatever. Coming chapters will show who is right
True, but they probably would have tortured and interrigated her for information and ask "who else knows" and if her well of information's dry, they would cap her off.
I just feel like Gomu Gomu no mi's name was given by the WG to hide its true nature
they feared its awakening because they feared Joyboy's powers when they fought the Ancient Kingdoms
They probably thought "it stretches like gum, so gum gum fruit it is"
Wdym "who else knows" they literally killed all of them
but how do you figure? what can we make of what the Gorosei are talking about in that panel.
i strongly believe they were discussing the Gomu Gomu no mi and not Blackbeards'
blackbeard will just be an antagonist in the final arc reaching to laugh tale
god i hate that guy
Blackbeard my favorite character next to Kaidou. Real pirates!
RIP Shirohige
Yeah he kinda bad
haha true, it's what the rest of the One Piece world believe pirates are
and Luffy's crew being the complete opposite of what people expect from "pirates"
I believe that's one of the big reasons why Shanks took the risk to showing up at Marineford to save Luffy's life edit: well not only his but everyone's
They always say "capture nico robin" and no "eliminate nico robin" so they want to get any info out of her. Of course Robin wouldn't have told anyone any VC information or ancient weapon into, but they would torture her to make sure she didn't, and as soon as they either know no one does or they found out everyone who may know about it. Done, cap her off. VC secrets safe
Luffy's crew probably very similar to Roger's crew. they werent out to loot and ruin people's lives and take a whole country hostage like Dofla/Crocodile
Her Bounty poster says "dead or alive" doesnt it
Roger's crew was out for adventure and wanting to find out the truth behind the WG and what and why they're trying so hard to cover up the Void Century
that truth WG is hiding must be very dark history where if people of the OP world found out, all will join the revolutionaries and rebel against them
This in fact opens an interesting topic. As it is, pirate in fact represents rather anarchy than true order seeing how chaotic the New World is. Wonder if just removing the WG is the best step forward. The Revolutionaries at least didn't see the WG as enemy, but rather the war the upper echelon rules the world and want to reform the WG.
regardless of how powerful the WG is with Emu and the Gorosei + Marine, they can't take on the whole entire world against them
Wonder if there is more regarding Roger not doing anything after Laugh Tale. Imagining he could have shared the true history, would it have a favorable outcome if it turned the world into chaos by damaging the WG. Big question mark
Imo shanks wont be luffys enemy, atleast he wont hate him
it takes law-abiding citizens and law enforcement to run a government. But if the rest of the world doesnt agree with how they came to power and the existence of incest Celestial Dragons will turn the whole world upside down
exactly, I dont agree with Shanks vs Luffy. Makes 0 sense. Shanks couldve reached Laugh Tale and gained intel about One Piece himself but he didn't. He literally told Roger no, im staying and take of then injured Buggy.
Like if shanks will want to kill him , it will be cuz he needs to or something and not cuz of his personal feelings.
he chose to entrust Joyboy's will onto the next gen
Wonder about that. Roger was not truly about revolution or seeing the WG as enemies. Same goes for Luffy. He is not a revolutionary, it is about freedom and reaching the top more.
Luffy doesn't want the WG removed. No political ambition towards that ever shown
Yeah, also things he said after making aces grave
exactly, and WG fears Luffy's crew reaching Laugh Tale and finding out their dark history the WG has been hiding from the world going as far as buster calling Ohara and creating characters like Robin
They were so nice and he didnt say them out loud, only in his head
and they are more afraid because Luffy has the same powers as Joyboy, their main opponent in overthrowing Ancient Kingdom's reign over the world
But we dont know if joyboy had gomu fruut
so after this arc, I bet Luffy's bounty will topple that of Kaidou and Shanks
but we DO man!! what do you mean? Even Zunesha confirmed
did you not see that last page of 1043?
Ofc it will, he will defeat kaido almost by jimself
He said that he feels joyboy, nothing said about his fruut
I think Luffy outright beats Kaidou but there are other loose plot that needs to be tied when it comes to CP0, what Orochi is scheming among many other things
and not to mention they're probably sending Admiral(s) to Wano as this is all going down
Marine loves to collect and arrest after Luffy's crew wins and want to take advantage of their weakened state and arrest both parties
and lie to the world publishing news that the Marine took down Kaidou and Luffy
where have we heard this before.... hmm.... Alabasta and literally every single arc lol
Huh
it's just the trend
Luffy beats Crocodile = Marine gets cred
Luffy beats literally anyone that leads to marine arrests and they get all the cred for it
and continue to put Luffy's reputation under their lies
but the whole world knows who's come in contact with Luffy and his crew beating up assholes that he's not the guy that the world government says he is
he has Alabasta, Shandora, Fishmen Island, Dressrosa backing him
and when the right time comes, Luffy along with the countries he's helped and the revolutionaries will fight the WG and overthrow them and spread the info on the Void Century to the world
when do you guys think we going to meet Vegapunk?
Why would luffy fight wg
where is he right now?
because...? they literally declared war against them at Enies Lobby rescuing Robin
and since then WG made Luffy their enemy and have tabs on him wherever he goes
that CP0 agent honestly saved Luffy's life and essentially helped him awaken his DF
Oh yeah
He the real one ong🧐🙏
Kaidou wanted to die
how tho
Luffy "died" because of the CP0 agent
And
Luffy "died" because he got hit by Kaido's attack
Which would have happened whether bowler hat was there or not unless he overpowered Kaido
he got hit and took on that impact head on because of the CP0's actions
otherwise, Luffy wouldn't have "died" and came back with his DF awakened
Which still would've happened, Luffy still would've either won that clash or lost it
it mightve happened naturally without CP0's interruption but it is notable that in hindsight that CP0 helped unlock Luffy's DF
If he wins it, there's no problem
If he loses it, he still gets laid out, that was his last hit on Kaido
I'd like to think if it is like Binks prophecy is like most prophecies it can't be changed so Luffy was going to die to that hit regardless
yeah... Binks Sake GOATED
literally gave away just enough for fans to be mindblown by the connection
and the drums of liberation directly quoted by Zunesha gave me chills
but do you think his intention was to help? cause i dont think so
oh no, he had no idea what would happen but I assume that CP0 also had observation haki to see how things would play out after
but he knew he'd die either way in the hands of Kaidou or the WG killing him for disobeying orders
What wdym
Hey guys any new creative theories on joy boy fruit
he chose the fast way to die which i can respect
nah same ol speculations. no one really knows but it's Sun Wukong vs Resin Fruit
So the cheese thing is buried now?
LMAO when was that ever a thing
how much sure are we about CPO agent deaths? cause Oda dont kill like that on spot
You’d be surprised 😂😂
well... i mean have you seen that panel? that CP0 agent accepted his death and the other one wathcing from afar sending his regards
that's like as clear as it can get that CP0 legit died right there
That was a really cold moment
and IF that CP0 didnt actually die... that would upset a lot of fans
like how DARE he get to live after that?
Cp0 will be next joyboy after luffy
I mean characters like Pell lived after that explosion but that's a feel-good fan service
but this CP0 agent has no reason to live for the plot anymore
Cp0 agent will be the witness of Joy boys return
man 1044 WHEN 😭 i swear if its a flashback to Joyboy ima be PISSED
I would not mind that actually
but knowing Oda and the general flow of the manga, I already know its a big possibility we wont get what we all expect out of 1044
Lol then April fools next month
fr fr
Oda not gonna let up that chance to troll us YOU ALREADY KNOW
Oda is so good at trolling
Yeah, whole chaoter will probably be about yamato saving tgat uglyass junky city
Yamato joins Straw Hats or no
Tbh Oda has nothing else to cover in onigashima. All the generals are taken down, all the minor fights are done. Big mom is down. I don’t see Oda jumping to another part of onigashima. The only thing I can see him jump to is probably a flashback. We might just continue with luffy
Ye imo
for sure.
we already got Jinbe out of this arc though! but that ties to the Whole Cake arc more than Wano
i'm betting CP0 agent lifes on that.
my wish is that Yamato be a part of SH moving forward but i wont be mad if she doesnt join the same way Vivi chose to stay back
So Uh
but Vivi had a greater reason for staying in Alabasta whereas Momo will be the next in line to rule Wano
I don't think I have any evidence YET, to support this claim
can't imagine Yamato being welcomed knowing she's Kaidou's daughter
WHAT ☠️☠️☠️
Momo will take care of that
so she has more incentive to set sail with the SH
But coming from the latest chapter, Luffy might be prone to gaining Shape Shifting/Meta Morphing abilities
Yamato sure is getting pushed hard when it comes to merch sales and stuff. And she always seems to be along side the straw hats. I’m not saying this confirms anything but she’s destined to be a straw hat
Like luffy gives a fuck
we have to take one of the Ace promisses to the crew, for the god sake... we take Yamato or Otama
well doesn't matter if the rulers of Wano knows what role Yamato played in this but can't expect everyone to fall in line respecting Kaidou's kid
Why not both. Every major crew had a chore boy. In this case she’d be a chore girl
at Wano knowing how Kaidou has treated them
so all im saying is theres a clearer reason and incentive for Yamato to set sail with the SH
3 crew mate in one saga? dont make us dream
i dont think Otama will join SH
her powers are OP af ngl and i can already see how it can be beneficial for Elbaf
One thing Wano has taught us. Is that this isn’t a normal arc. Don’t be too surprised
but that's just my imagination/speculation
yeah I think after all this is over, Wano will be my top 2 or 3 arc
Elbaf gonna have Joy Boy flash back, right?
We do not know
cause 99% sure of he's a Giant...
we will see.... they'll definitely find the last road poneglyph there
I agree with that too but it may also be that Joyboy was a mix between giants and human
and that's why he was able to rule over the giants and humans
So you’re saying the chance of the member count decreasing is there 👀 I will miss Zoro ngl
what I really wanna know is wtf is Enel up to now
Woah woah woah. Let’s hold our horses here 😂
he's in space now right with his Maxim?
Zoro is just having a chat with the king of hell. He’ll be back
Enel is one of the most powerful characters in my books. His mastery of all forms of haki and awakening his DF
Enel is making new Lunarians whit the secret Kings mama
lmfao
Dudes DF literally revived him. Love his whole character design
fr.... i hope Oda will find a great way to tie him back to the ending
Id be already happy with another cover art
but fr when do we get to see Luffy realizing Crocodile is his mom
Two years in the moon sounds crazy. For all we know he’s probably back in in the White Sea. Preparing for something. All bullshit aside, what’s odas plan with him
bruh it is fr
Ivankov hinted it and it kinda makes sense
He hinted him being a woman not luffys mom lol
Crocodile went through gender change because she probably felt her ambitions wouldn't come to fruition in a woman's body
and what a fucking sad reality Oda points out
and we're used to that kind of clarity coming from his storytelling
Oda has taught me a lot about racism and discrimination and corruptions in governments
its one anime that taught me more about the real world and how it runs than any other animation content I consumed
Yeah i’m with you on that one. Oda created a deep deep emotional masterpiece
resin resin
I’m so stocked for next friday when Oda once again fucks over the whole community with something no one has thought about 😂
This actually makes sense because I was trying to figure out a substance that would contain some qualities of rubber but also the hardness that Luffy gets too
hinting at Red hawk
Would also tie into the theme of preserving the past through time.
Resin catching on fire with friction
Oh I didn’t even know that was a thing
and how Luffy is able to change directions and shapes of his attacks by heating up via gear 2 and mixing with haki in gear 4
If it really is resin, I would be so curious on how early on Oda was thinking of it.
Snake man comes to mind
I am looking forward to brook singing binks sake again so much.
Maybe JoyBoy preserved something very important in resin
Could the red poneglyphs be resin made?
I’m not sure how Luffy being resin and its implications to the ending. But, for now I’m just taking it at face value and saying it’s just an upgrade to his powers
maybe ever since they started talking about awakenings
in dressrosa
If it weren’t that last panel where Luffy seems to melt & Zunesha’s statement, this wouldn’t seem like such a big deal besides a normal awakening
Imu is luffy's mother, even imu doesn't know 😤,
She wanted to kill him when she gived birth to him but garp took him away and hide him in that island with Ace 😶
why would she even give birth to him if she wants to kill him
Gum gum fruit model resin
resin
Resin is more probable than world tree and wisdom king
Oda usually has a reason for funny things like Sanji being drawn weirdly on his wanted poster. So i’m thinking milk being able to instantly regenerate teeth for Luffy might be foreshadowing something to do with his devil fruit 😉
Guys, please go to #manga for this type of discourse, we want more serious and longer thought out theories in here
Read one message above. Try doing a longer write-up for your reasoning.
Apologies
Resin can be considered a logia type?
No worries, #manga and #also-manga are your go-to places for quick thoughts and lighter discussion.
I think so cause look at luffy melting his body in the last chapter
There's three staff statements about the purpose of this channel right above you, @undone holly@serene plume.
Guys why you think luffy may be logia type when we did read 1000 chapter that says otherwise
i'm sorry sir, was replying the theory up but forgot to do it properly.
Or #also-manga
Ok
Guys I have the best theories bout imu gon take a while typing it

why rubber fits better in the descripton of a logia fruit and since the begin we put it on paremecia category? i belive Enel was the first person to point out that luffy is a '' mere paremecia user '' if am not wrong...
Paramecia is one of the three Devil Fruit types, being the most common. This type of Devil Fruit allows the consumer to achieve one of a large variety of abilities that enables them to become superhuman or perform a superhuman feat.
Logia is the rarest of the three Devil Fruit types. Those who have eaten a Logia fruit are granted the power to transform their body's composition into a natural element at will, as well as create and control it.[2]
where do Rubber and Resin fits better here??
what Luffys doing here all the time is changing his body, transforming it.
Nah Luffy is different his body doesn't act like rubber
I think son wukong can use electricity
this is more of an idea than a theory but what if another level of Haki was like a mega projection that makes people be able to project their haki into a giant projection or weapon
Explain?
Maybe Katakuri being a “special paramecia” and him mimicking Luffy’s move was a foreshadow of Luffy’s own progress
@random prawn keep it serious in here please
theres a theory that gomu gomu no mi is a fake name for that fruit
I dont think resin is plausable tbh
Please don’t use this channel to make light conversation about who watched what. See channel description
Blackbeard definitely devoured his siblings and has 2 bodies. I really don’t feel like the Cereberus fruit is plausible for him
There is some merit behind it though. Why was Kaido so eager to kill himself. Seems like a clue to Joy Boy’s awakening
A simple explanation for kaidou saying "rubber shouldn't be able to that" after the hydra attack:
Luffy turn's his punches around with armament haki giving him somewhat control over the punches he throws.
And his awakening/gear 5 will be a full on fusion between his hiki/will and his devil fruit meaning he will make his heart beat as fast or as slow "that he looks like he's dead" and he will no longer need to hold his breath or pump his arm with air before attacking.
was that really a serious attempt?
What do you mean? Part of Kaido’s story before he was introduced was that he was constantly trying to commit suicide
He couldve asked big mom to kill him if thats rly what he wanted
So as we know,Imu is one of the most mysterious characters in one piece, yet so hyped for how mysterious he is and just a couple of screen time, most of us knows that he is the most powerful and have the most power in WG and Navy, but we don’t know how powerful he is compared to the others, my theory is about the scene of the empty throne, 2 questions for oda, why are the gorosei (HIGHEST rank) of the WG BOWING for imu, and why is imu sitting on the empty throne (if you sit on it,your king of world).here is my theory, watch the video below first. When the goroseis are bowing down for imu, they say those specific words “Have u decided which lights to extinguish, from history This Time” now now he said this time? That means they had definitely eliminated other peoples before , they erased there existence, by the word extinguish. While ago before that scene, imu was looking at 4 posters, It was Luffy,BB,Vivi and shirahoshi , my guess that he said those names , no wonder all of a sudden luffy was being followed by CP0 and ordered to get killed as soon as possible! But why those 4? Because if u look closely , u will realize smt, they are the ancient weapons !
Vivi = Pluton( it was said in alabasta)
Bb = Uranus
Shirahoshi = Poseidon
and luffy cause prob imu knew he was gonna be the reincarnation
So she decides to kill them, they have the power of destruction, imu is probably from void century and fought with joyboy or was with joyboy, so imu is gonna eliminate those 4 exacte, but how tf does imu have that much power ? It’s crazy thinking about it , but yeah.
PLEASE read my theory and watch the video before reading!
Pls consider reading and telling me about your opinion
i will!!!! thanks man
Aint momonosuke supposed to be one of the ancient weapons
Blackbeard not an Ancient weapon
🤯 🤯 🤯 🤯 🤯
There would be no other explanation of why bb is in the 4 posters
He’s just another Joyboy candidate
Bru what he wasn’t even alive in void century
Good D vs Bad D
Like Rayleigh said different conclusions will be reached at Laugh Tale
i have a question
who else think the gorosei are going to be the final boss against the strawhats? i think they are not only political, but powerfull physically too, they must have strong fruits and haki
doubtful
i think a yter will make a video on this
and probably the gorosei are stronger or same level as marine admirals
really? tysm man I really appreciate the thoughts!
dude, i want to hear more from you
Doffy said the same thing lol all luffy is doing is bouncing off the air
I think imu is the strongest of WG and the final enemy he is getting bowed by the goroseis
How do you explain the fight against enel
We don’t know that and it’s likely not true
💗
i feel oda would put at least one "cap" on him, what could that be?
do you think imu recieved ope ope's life cirurgy?
