Note its not a literal serpent, but an army of lunarians. Lunarians are fire gods, and can unleash their fire as large serpents. A battalion of them would illuminate the sky so bright, you would think a massive serpent was consuming the land.

It may be imu before he became complete evil. I think he was probably working with people to stop the previous rulers of the world who enslaved everyone in the era of slavery and after that he betrayed the people he was working with and took control of the world which is what sparked the second war with joyboy. He may have originally been a dragon and ended up eating a devil fruit after they came into existence.

This could also tie into the “they will not meet again” things at the end of every world part. Imu defeated the first two opponents in the first and second world but the third world he will fail because of luffy hence the “they will meet again” at the end of the third world.

I think it is shooting fire at the serpent. Like others have been theorizing the past few hours it is very plausible that the serpent represents the red line and the Lunarians hence the fire. The lunarians used to be the gods of the world and if this took place in the first world it makes sense because imu and the wg displaced them after they won the war. This is a very long time ago so they may have been using slaves to fuel their advanced technology they brought with them from the moon along with the other sky people. Or they worked together with humans to create an infinite energy source and they were both the combatants in the first world. Whatever the scuffle is during the second world which birthed the devil fruits, it couldve been imu trying to revive the sun god through devil fruit.. it failed however and imu and the sun god did not meet there

Imu perhaps have the original body of the sun god frozen in marijoise, and she is trying to revive him by trying to experiment to extract the juices from the devil fruit and inject it to the frozen body, reviving the sun god.

Perhaps this explains her hatred for humans and the reason why she is trying to kill joyboy and luffy inorder to get the fruit which holds the sun god's spirit

I personally think Blackbeard is the Earth deity, given that he has two key fruits and even was seeking another one:

1. The tremor fruit, which can be heavily linked to earthquakes
2. The darkness fruit, which the earth deity seemingly cast over the world in the first world (Note that earth and the underworld are often synonymous in many mythologies)
3. The love fruit, which is initially strange but it has links to serpents and stone, which seem to tie to the mythology of the first world well. It could point to this being a “gomu gomu no mi” type situation.

If this is correct, which is just speculation, it would setup two of these 4 characters to be ‘deities’, which points to some trend. Although I don’t think Vivi is the forest deity or smth like that, it’s not hard to see Shirahoshi being the sea deity right?

Last little tidbit I just wanna put out there as extra: I think chopper is the forest deity. His fruit is too weird, it acts completely differently from normal zoans. Furthermore, the robots on the moon look EXACTLY the same as Chopper; perhaps chopper’s fruit’s model is the same as what the robots were modeled after? If true, it would indicate that chopper has a fruit which is modeled after someone historically significant, which very well could be the forest deity. This would beg the question, why wasn’t Imu looking at Chopper? Maybe it’s linked to how chopper has a small bounty; he never gets recognized for any acts, and may not have been noticed as closely by Imu. It would be a cool way to make use of the gag lol

The story says that the “god of the forest sent forth demons” in the story what are the members of the D clan referred to as? “The natural enemies of the gods” and in stories what are the enemies of gods? Demons. Along with that in the mural you see the middle creature breathing fire at the serpent demon who is also blowing fire back. To me it almost looks like the two of them are fighting and their blasts are about even. Anyways just a small little thought I wanted to share.

What if a world power used that technology to take over the world and enslave others? The common desire of all the slaves worldwide for a saviour gave rise to the Nika fruit, and his original bearer.

The Ancient Kingdom could be a nation created by the freed slaves and Nika. The « Second World ». Until it is destroyed in the Void Century giving rise to the WG and the « Third World »

I think Pluto is robotic or some sort ship-robot transformer. I’m saying this because it would make sense for the three ancient weapons to be in the mural. We have a siren and what looks like maxim arc. Maxim arc was based on some plans Enel found on Birka a city named after an ancient kingdom city in the moon, its most likely an Uranus reconstruction, same way there were plans to rebuild Pluto which franky had. So, Skypea is the same situation of Water 7, but the Strawhats arrived late. Now, if you inspect the mural, the only thing that could be the third ancient weapon would be what most people assume to be the robot in the mural. Franky has seen the Pluto plans. And I think he is inspired by them in some of the sunny and shogun equipment he does. He being the person finding the mural and being impressed by this probably because he recognized Pluto.

When I heard "Kid and Gunko" my thoughts went to Victoria as well, and this is a good explanation of what couldve happened. One thing to add to the hat and goggles tho, I think its more of a Revo accessoire than a South Blue one, with 3 Revo Commanders, Koala and Sabo wearing them. So you probably heard of people theorizing she might be connected to Koala too, who also was a slave, maybe they were sisters seperated when Koala was saved and Gunko wasnt.

That would be my other guess with Gunko but this one has more story to it, especially bringing in Kids difficult relationship with Shamrock would be then. Kid confusing the guy hes after with Shanks would make sense and give him a cool personal vendetta. Funnily enough Loki also said this chapter that he ended up hating both brothers which would be the case with Kid as well. Kid and Loki becoming friends gets more likely every chapter.

After this I'd love a Kid character arc where he both avenges Victoria and shows his growth after defeating a Figarland twin this time. Hard to say Kid is gonna be his matchup tho because other people have business with him too, of course Shanks himself but also Loki should definitely have some sort of payback (maybe even Zoro just for the 3 swords thing alone). But Kid fighting Shamrock in front of Loki might be how Loki starts liking Kid too. And if we are talking pure matchups then Killer vs. Gunko/Victoria would make sense on the side. Maybe these happen only in the final war tho and this arc its mainly about establishing Gunkos and Shamrocks powers and goals in Elbaf.

Ended up rambling less about Gunko and more about Kids and Shamrocks relationship but having Victoria being taken by the celestial dragons is a story I could see Oda doing, finally giving Kid a proper backstory and neatly tying Kid, Killer, Loki, Victoria, Shamrock and Shanks together. I was relating kidd with shanks' family for long , since kidd went to fight him twice. and then to shamrock since Shamrock looked very possible reason for kidd targeting shanks.
