Well for example in this drawing of mine, I did some of the shading in marker and some of it in pencil. Maybe you should start by shading with pencil so if you think you've added too much you can rub it out.

Shading with marker can be risky so I suggest sticking to pencil

one thing I will say though is it looks like you forgot to fully fill in the clouds. I can see little outlines in there. other than that, really cool piece!

when you're shading def vary your colors too rather than using darker versions

like instead of a blacker red you could use a darker blue-ish red for shading

makes it pop out a bit more

Anyone who uses skin tone copic markers, do they draw the same colour as they appear to be? Like do they draw darker than expected like some markers

yea i agree with sang, for the most part they are accurate but like a few lighter colors tend to darken a lil bit, hm darken might not be the exact description, more like they get a little "dim"
