Well this type of story has never been my style, I can still appreciate the lengths you went with it. You kept it well paced and lighthearted but weren’t too scared to get surprisingly heavy. I loved it when you made your art cruder when expressing comics in comics and in general I think the style has it’s own charm. In the beginning you also kept the exposition at a minimum and pulled us out of the characters head as soon as you could which is something I really appreciated.

The rest I can’t really speak on.

That moment where Oda did the thing tho was very wholesome and made me happy

hmm i would say that since the overall shape of a human head is like oval, the top of her head needs to grow a lil, i think its too squashed. IMO the head in general should get bigger too

not too big otherwise it will feel kinda off
Also noticed that the placement of the ears are kinda off too
Try pulling her eyes down a lil and make them a lil bigger, shrink her nose a lil

I keep trying watercolor but my paper always warps so horribly that it makes it very hard to apply the watercolor when there's massive valleys and mountains on the paper. Any tips?

You either using too much water(like the brush soaked and dripping with water) or ur paper type is wrong. The paper needs to have at least 280+lb/gsm

You can also use painter's tape and tape the paper on the table so even if it is full of valleys if given the proper amount of time it will go back to normal and get flat again

Depends on how you've been trying to improve at drawing

The best way to get rapid progress is by using a lot of good references for art

But it's so frustrating as an anime fan you get so many ideas of art pop in your head and you want to draw them but you can't express it on paper

For good references, either use cool photos or art you'd like to draw like from art station, twitter, instagram, etc.

Personally, I'd focus on fundamentals first

That is really important when it comes to art I feel

Being able to draw perspective accurately, and the human body from any angle is a really useful skill
