Hey guys. I'm drawing some stuff as a xmas gift to my friends and would like some feedback on it.

Coloring and lighting.. perspective isn't really my strong suit so I feel like there's something off with them but I can't pin what exactly. Hit me with all the crits! Pls. Don't hold out :>

Also I tried a no line art on Bepo but I can't figure out how to do it with the other as the detail just makes it look smudged. Any tips? 🤔

hmm i would say that on the bepo one the only thing you need to know is How to use sharp shadows

from what im seeing u are only using the airbrush as your tool for painting shadows

also projected shadows should converge at the point of contact with baymax

the koala one is more about the lighting. i would say that the light source comes from her left backside ish if u add a big light shadow on her entire body and softly erase the shadow where the light touches it should do the trick

clip studio paint is reallly good for computer, it has cmyk and a lot of tools. paint tool sai may be easier to use since it's very lightweight and has only a few tools, though. they're both about 50$, but go on sale sometimes

Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint are the two leading ones (if you got money to invest) currently. PS is more for painterly stuff and CSP more for Manga/comic type of stuff.

If you want a free software:
a) I'd recommend Krita, it's probably the most advanced out of the free ones out there, and it's very good for painting.
b) If you're more interested in manga style, or simply you want something EXTREMELY simple to use, i recommend MediBang. Every other software requires you to get used to it for quite some time and crack your skull around the tools, but MediBang it designed to be extremely simple and straightforward, and it's still really good.

(I am saying "this" for "that" type of art, but you can do anything in every one of them.)

Also, if you buy a tablet, it might come with a free trial of some art software for X months, don't be a moron like me who learns that months after the purchase.
