you can usually just tell. either by art style, shading/lighting, line art, weird mistakes, things fusing together, the iris just looking funky. there's a lot of stuff I can't think off, but the number 1 thing is that it often lacks a human touch and human flaws

some AI art is really hard to tell tho. I've been fooled before by classical expressionist art

honestly a lot of the time you can just almost immediately recognise the “inhumaneness” of ai generated art, although unfortunately it’s definitely improving in quality but there is almost always an error that gives it away, you just have to look hard sometimes

There's no requirement to fully render and line out everything. Can be a choice for style or if they're just not feeling it at the time.

I can't make a good judgement on HOW the art is made just by that piece alone, but it is human made from what I can see. THAT can also be scrutinized in what their process is like but that's going on a tangent already.
