yo artists, question, what's your secret on how to be able to draw everyday?

for some reason I'm quite scared to hold my pen to draw

don't worry about it
drawing is something you improve on
and something you need to upkeep
drawing more will always help, at least in terms of "stamina"
ideally, you draw ONE thing start to finish everyday.

but here's the kicker,

1. it doesn't have to be good. if it's not, just keep it, try again next time. no one else need to ever see it. but at least you drew.
2. it doesn't even have to be finished. if it's not, keep it, continue later. the next time it'll be easier because you already started it. and, at least you drew.
   3, you don't have to. but know that if you do, it's better for you, and that's reason enough.

my tip personally is that no matter what animation is gonna take a while, but tthings that id do is start with the key frames and specific poses that are the most important tto the movement

after that add a frame in between those

and than those

cause later youll go in and polish those frames up on by one

gausian blur is chill, but when you only use black to shade it looks amateur

which also isnt a problem

but thats a quick fix u could do. experiment w shading w different tones

yea shading isn’t just black on colours

consider the tones of the primary colour you’re using and darken them or adjust the hue slightly to still be darker but with a slight hint of another contrasting colour

i like to use airbrush blending brushes, there are some built in on procreate. you can also use semi-transparent brushes with pressure sensitivity, those will help you get more control on your depth (you can build the colour up)!

^ the general rule i use is saturate, darken, shift towards blue. ex. green -> darker teal
