practice. and when you're done with your piece, have anatomy books or anatomy illustration from the internet you can look at to compare to your piece to see if you got various anatomy corrrect.

There might be an art Discord where other people can draw over your work to help you understand what you did wrong.

here is an example of what it can look like. someone, or yourself, drawing over your original drawing to fix the mistakes you made. With digital it's pretty easy, but with tradiational you would need tracing paper or a type of paper called "layout bond" which is like a thick tracing paper that doesn't tear as easily.

I know that concept art tutorials and 3D modeling tutorials can be pretty good. But for anatomy I would try to learn on my own with books and videos and pay for a class only if I feel like I'm not improving.

You can copy this Carrot painting 1:1 in order to study and grow as an artist (you're copying it so you can understand how the artist did it). You cannot, however, reference this Carrot 1:1 in your own painting. Like, I can't take this Carrot and draw her (even in my own style) into my competition piece like this behind Zoro. But, I could draw my own version of Carrot in my competition piece while referencing this painting (using it to make sure the proportions on my own version of Carrot are correct, for example). I reference both real life, 3d models, and fan art at times for my own pieces to make sure I'm getting angles and anatomy correctly, but I don't copy fan art 1:1 in my own work. HOWEVER, there is one exception to the rule. You see that Yamato in my piece? That's an original Oda drawing, I took Oda's original drawing and warped it properly into perspective 1:1 and traced it. Why? Because otherwise it would've been extraordinarily difficult to make it look good and it was meant to be an homage to Oda himself, so I wanted it absolutely perfect - and that was the only way I could assure that. In that rare moment, it doesn't matter that I copied it because more than likely Oda does not care, and has plenty of money so he has nothing to lose from that. But everything else in the piece? 100% me with lots of references.

I'd like to add to the Yamato thing to say that it should be fine because it's not a focal point and kind of like an extra step an artist would take to make something look more real--because not all posters have the same style, so it adds something a little more interesting to the piece. It's just a lil easter egg that no one would really notice unless you explicitly pointed it out because of EVERYTHING ELSE in the piece. Just make sure you properly credit (and I would even ask if it's possible--but it's Oda, so LOL a lot of fun you would've had with that), and it should be all good.

I’m making my own one piece alternate universe type thing before luffy is born but after Rodger died and here is my new main character OC Itte D. Aki he was born in the east blue on yagishiri island (close to louge town) and is about to START his journey on the grand line. But he decides to stop at louge town then before he can react 2 bandits swing their blades down on our MC but he is saved moments befit death by… someone I can’t tell you yet lol
