I like to do my pumpkins with clay carving tools, I shave and carve them in a sort of an inverse relief sculpting way. Because the light source is on the inside, the deeper you carve the brighter the light will shine through- and bright parts appear to pop outwards more because on three dimensional shapes the brighter part is usually light reflecting off the apex of the surface.

I forgot to highlight the bottom of the nose, so he looks a little like a scarecrow, but the light is meant to be coming from his lighter behind his hands so the nose is dark lit. I’m too lazy to fix it now.

You can see a little bit of under lightning, but I failed to enhance it. But I’m happy overall with how it turned out, considering I initially hated the sketch.

The right arm is bent a little too much, like a wet noodle - the forearms tend to be a bit straighter than that. I also want to say her left hand and left arm might be too thick and not long enough(though it could also be her upper portion not being elongated enough, but I would have to see the ref), as well. Breasts seem too big, but maybe the reference had them that size, as well. Head is lightly too far to the right I think. Just small things mostly.
