it can be very fun and very rewarding, but also very taxing and very stressful. if you have to ask if you're improving all the time, I'm not sure if you can handle the kind of critique I could give, like a serious one I mean.

I'm more lighthearted in the critiques I give here. because people are younger or only do this as a hobby. but if you want a real professional level critique, it won't be fun

1. You are far from ready to be a professional. The work you're showing is worst than when I was 18 and just entering art school, and I barely got in with that portfolio. 2. Stop drawing all that fan art and anime. No more Bowsers, no more Zelda, unless it's small doodles in a sketchbook. It's a waste of time - you will learn very little from it except how to draw anime, which is not helpful or a good way to make money professionally. 3. You need to be studying the fundamentals only: Anatomy, Perspective, Value (how light and dark something is), Color Theory, and Composition. 5. You should be trying to draw from life every day. Draw any objects around you, go outside and draw buildings and figure out how they work in perspective. Draw people at coffee shops. Draw nude models, BOTH male and female (and not just attractive women, draw obese and old men too). You should be filling up that sketchbook all the time and figuring out what you're doing wrong so you can improve (finding classes online is the best way to get help with this since the teacher will critique and guide you. some are more expensive than others). If you don't have the money, use Proko and all the other good art YouTube channels. The only real work you showed me that I thought was worthwhile was the dinosaurs and the hands and face studies; all else was not helpful for you to improve. You wanna draw anime looking characters? You will be able to draw them well once you learn real human anatomy. 6 MOST IMPORTANT: No more video games. No exceptions. Stop it today. And focus only on your art. And stay the hell away from social media, it will only distract you, except when you are watching art tutorials on YouTube. 7. This will take years. There will be no overnight success. Also, try to study the old masters (great artists usually from the 1500-1800s) such as John Singer Sargent and even try to copy the works they did so you can study them and learn from them and figure out how they composed a scene, or how they did the anatomy, color, etc.
