Do you think it’s necessary for a straw hat member to be killed by Imu for the story somewhat progress and be taken seriously. If Imu is defeated and all straw hats are safe and sound that would be pretty underwhelming for the king of the world.

But then again Oda did hype up kaido and defeated luffy like 2-3 times and was humiliated.
