SPOILER POLICY

1. The entire server besides the 📺ANIME ONLY📺 category permits content up to the current English translated chapter of the One Piece manga. No leaks!

**2. Anything further belongs in ❗SPOILERS❗, no matter how vague or insignificant you may consider it. **

3. Typically, 👽 OTHER SERIES 👽 is the only category where specific details from media other than One Piece are discussed.

4. Malicious, targeted spoiling will result in a permanent ban.

As a general rule, it's ideal to at least __spoiler tag__ something you think may be sensitive.

• It may still not be permitted depending on the content or channel, but common courtesy is all we ask for at the end of the day. We want to maintain a safe place for people, no matter how old the series is- you never know if someone is currently reading or watching it, just to happen into chat and have their experience with that series compromised.
• While there is no formal consensus on what constitutes a spoiler across the internet, we consider this our standard. Anyone using our server should feel comfortable chatting, whether they are actively seeking to be fully spoiled or don't want even the slightest hint or reaction to upcoming content.

__Spoiler tags__ are easy:

• Simply highlight the text and click on the 👁️‍🗨️ or Mark as spoiler to mark as a spoiler. On both mobile and PC, double vertical bars (||) on both sides will also tag it. You can tag media when uploading by clicking the 👁️‍🗨️ button or tapping on the media and choosing Mark as spoiler.
• The general format we use is Story (context) ||message or linked media||. For example, if I were talking about the end of Dragon Ball Z, I could format my post as DBZ end ||message||. Best to label what's inside, or nobody will open it!
• When you're discussing a show or manga with a larger group in 👽 OTHER SERIES 👽, or just discussing a more popular franchise currently releasing, it's usually smart to label which chapter it's from as well.

**The ``❗SPOILERS❗`` category (<#1134630505145450536>, <#164996746429202432>) is the ONLY place here which we allow any of the following:**

Reactions or commentary about leaks, unconfirmed spoilers and hints

Comments like "The spoilers are crazy this week", discussing the hints or posting unconfirmed spoilers may seem trivial, but they pose a number of problems. Messages like these:

• Invite someone who is unaware of our policy to reply with actual details, either to confirm, correct or for other reasons
• Compromise a "full-blind" or "near-blind" experience that many people seek out when consuming OP or other content
• Aren't usually a serious issue, but hopefully these examples display why we want to avoid even minor commentary like this. This is a public chatroom and your posts influence others!

Untranslated/translated spoiler details, leaked raw panels and chapter summaries

These should be self-explanatory: they give away what happens directly. Posting these outside of ❗SPOILERS❗ will likely result in you being muted; if the behavior is malicious or repeated it may result in a ban.

Editor notes about the next chapter, certain WSJ covers or interviews

Occasionally, some of this information is a strong indicator for upcoming story content. Observe common courtesy: if you're unsure whether or not something is too much, post it in a spoiler tag or ask a staff member for assistance.

Certain fan scanlations

A low quality chapter existing with broken English, poor image quality or anything similar should not be posted outside of ❗SPOILERS❗ until we have posted a chapter of acceptable quality in #announcements. These degrade the reading experience and frankly are an insult to the author- nobody should have to read them just so they don't get spoiled in chat.

and any other information pertaining to untranslated chapters.

Whether or not there's a break next week is OK. All of this content is OK to post throughout the manga-friendly channels once the chapter has been posted in #announcements. That's it!

CONDUCT & PRESENCE

**__This server is about One Piece__**.

• One Piece can be political, controversial or remind us of cultural differences both in-series and in real life. Having said that, we ask everyone to set aside their opinions on these sensitive matters upon entering. People hold strong views which lead to insults, bullying, dogpiling and generally distasteful chat that makes everyone uncomfortable or unhappy. Avoid these subjects and we can avoid needless conflict over them here.
• This place should be what One Piece is as we read or watch it: an escape from the struggles, challenges and conflicts of the real world. If you see something you take issue with, report it to the staff and don't make it worse by contributing.
  This applies to your messages, avatar and nickname- in other words, anything directly visible in chat. We typically don't moderate your bio or status, however, we may take action depending on what sort of content is there, or if reported to us.

**__No harassment or drama.__**

• Be cool. Insults, denigration, threats and other forms of harassment are a poor reflection on you as a person. We understand it can be difficult to stay civil in a heated argument, but if someone is acting condescending or insulting towards you personally, notify staff. Don't let your mood be dictated by a stranger on the internet, it's not worth it!
• Ping us. It's tempting to want to take matters in your own hands and sling mud back at someone who is being a jerk, but just notify us. The last thing anyone wants to see is people flaming each other over drama and nonsense instead of chatting about the series. Notify @wraith bridge via DM or otherwise if any of the staff are behaving in this way themselves.

**__Venting,__**

or airing out your real-world issues, is not something we encourage and may take action on. We understand that everyone needs a space to express themselves, but the staff and community are neither licensed professionals nor suitable to appropriately tend to your mental health needs or other crises. Venting can also be disturbing and distressing for others.
We're just discord mods, but we do value your well-being. Prioritize yourself and seek assistance from qualified professionals- resources like counselors and hotlines are available online, in many cases at no cost to you. You're not alone.

**__We don't tolerate bigotry or hate speech.__**

To adhere to Discord's TOS and ensure a safe haven for One Piece discussions, the following are prohibited:

• Racism,

including the uncivil discussion of the topic, any discussion of the topic outside of the context of One Piece, and various jokes. 'Minority Hunter Zoro', fishman racism and similar quips are not permitted, as these often descend into inappropriate, vulgar, or outright offensive territory. Play it safe and avoid it altogether. Racially offensive or sensitive words are not permitted, either.

• GRSM (LGBT+) hate speech,

including gender debates of characters in One Piece or other media. Again, these conversations more often than not devolve into ugly mudslinging and personal attacks- avoid them and report it to staff if they come up. Words like ||tranny, trap or shemale|| or similarly offensive terms aren't welcome.

• Other offensive viewpoints or terminology,

including terms used to refer to members of the fandom, such as ||sanjifag or zorotard||. This sort of slang or the words included in them aren't cool- just be civil and treat people with the decency you'd like to be treated with.

__**No NSFW.**__

We all know Oda draws lewd or gruesome art sometimes, with some examples being far outside of "suitable for the workplace". Our enforcement and understanding of 'no NSFW' on the server understands this reality and allows for discussion of the series, while keeping minors and Discord's TOS in mind.

• Nudity,

whether explicit, partial, or otherwise may be subject to removal. Anatomy is not the same as fantasy- anything that could be considered as pornographic or fetishized will be removed. Staff will make the call on what constitutes "too much", if you aren't sure then you probably ought to not post it.

• Gore,

AKA excessively detailed and gruesome depictions of violence, or otherwise sensitive content are not allowed. We are generally more lenient on this- depending on what it is, it may be permissible under a spoiler tag or posted normally. Just be considerate and use common sense.

• Oda's art or scenes from the anime,

if posted intending to disrupt normal conversation with inappropriate content, may be subject to removal. Spamming gifs of boobs jiggling or a character moving in certain ways is going to get you in trouble. Don't disgust other chatters, period.

• Overly excessive shipping,

roleplaying, fantasizing about or otherwise being gross in regard to One Piece characters is not allowed. Nami's boobs are not real and Law is not your boyfriend.

__**Chat Etiquette**__

Beyond subject matter, there are other elements of chat we ask our members to abide by. They're pretty simple and self-explanatory, but I'll get into the details here.

No spamming.

Any of the content listed below posted repeatedly (whether in rapid succession or as your consistent, sole contribution to a channel over time) or with intent to disrupt ongoing discussion, is considered spam and will result in revocation of your ability to post said content, whether via standard mute or other roles (Embed mute, react mute, etc.).

Messages formatted at this size

are discouraged. We understand sometimes it's hard to get the attention of chat and surely everyone wants to hear why Mihawk or Shanks are frauds for the 10th time today, but you shouldn't be consistently posting huge lines of text to grab the spotlight.

• ASCII copypastas

and any other large bodies of text posted intending to disrupt or flood chat

• Custom commands, images, gifs and other visual media

if abused, sent repeatedly or with intent to disrupt are prohibited

• Pinging or replying to users

in excess or with the intent to disturb, harass or otherwise target them maliciously is grounds for harsh and swift punishment

• Reactions

when spammed on every message, or to harass a particular user are prohibited

• Any content posted in rapid succession

will be automatically moderated. If it slips by, this is also punishable. Don't be a spammer!

__**Self-promotion guidelines**__

Self-promotion is also considered spam. If your only purpose in this server is to post your social media and promote your own work, do so in #promote-yourself or it will be automatically moderated (and likely result in a ban, if you have no other history of participation in chat). We don't allow financial or discord server promotions of any kind, unless an exception is made by @wraith bridge. Having a nickname pointing to your bio with a link isn't going to fly, either.
If you'd like to appear in our #1054653303180513330 channel, petition for a collaborative event or appeal for an exception made on promotional content, send a DM to @wraith bridge. My DMs are open to anyone who shares a server with me, so if you're unable to, it is a result of your own privacy settings. I may or may not accept a friend request which I don't recognize, so make sure to send me a message!

__**Channel topics**__

Discussion topics naturally shift between subjects all the time, and we enforce with this in mind. With that understood, if someone comes in the channel looking for discussion about its topic, these side discussions should stop. Someone wanting to chat about the latest episode in #anime takes priority over your favorite ship, and so on. Each channel has its subject and specific guidelines in the description, take a peek if you're ever confused on what should or shouldn't be discussed there.

__**Profile Conduct**__

Your Discord profile is a part of how you use the server. With the understanding that users can freely modify their appearance (and with nitro, specific to each server they are in), we ask that you follow a few guidelines in ours if you're planning on chatting.

__**Avatar**__

Avoid using a server avatar that would break any of our rules. NSFW, offensive, or controversial avatars will be actioned. We may also ask you to remove blatant, overt and major spoilers from other media. If your avatar contains content beyond the current anime episode, either avoid chatting in 📺ANIME ONLY📺 or change your avatar.

__**Nickname**__

Kindly keep inflammatory, controversial or offensive rhetoric out of your nickname. Even if your nickname is rallying around a political or real-world cause, keep it subtle or remove it- emojis symbolizing something are within reason, for example, but something in all caps (which will appear every time you send a message in chat) is disruptive and asking for trouble.

**__Bio, banner, pronouns, status__**

These may be called into question if they contain anything that breaks our policy. We allow most content as it isn't directly visible while chatting, but if it becomes a topic we may be called to take action. For example, using the pronouns field to break our policy on hate speech will result in the same punishment it would if posted in chat.

**__Alternate accounts__**

Using another account to bypass punishment is not allowed, nor is using one to give the illusion you are another person. If you lose access to your account or are hacked and need to use another one, we make an exception and will remove the other account from the server. We see tons of these- please reconsider buying hundreds of accounts just to talk here, it's a waste of both your time and ours!
