1.21.3 Purpur server, cant check nbtstrings in CheckItem expansion, it says that NBTAPI 2.13.2 was found, but the most recent version of NBTAPI is 2.14.0 and it added 1.21.3 support

No its an NBTAPI issue

I would like to bring this subject up again. I have read that it isn't a PAPI issue and that it's an issue with CheckItem but I modded CheckItem to require newer versions and it still doesn't work and gives me the error org.bukkit.command.CommandException: Unhandled exception executing command 'papi' in plugin PlaceholderAPI v2.11.6

Nope, still waiting for update, I think you might be able to use something with command targets to check if the player has the specific item and get its NBT data but I don't know how and I would rather use CheckItem

Also, according to their page on eCloud, it says they fixed the issues in update 2.7.8 but they didn't
