• decided to setup git for my unity project
• installed github unity plugin
• unity was loading/not responding for 3 hours (was out of the house and left it on)
• found out all my files were 0 bytes
• tried reverting but still, jetbrains rider local history still had 0 bytes
• found out that some scripts could be reverted
• found out that if I rollbacked to about 7/22 I could get all my scripts back

scenes are still 0 bytes though

aaand so if you look in the github repo the files are 0b
