If you’re having bot problems, install beemo. Makes his life harder as they get banned from all other beemo servers, and automatically handles getting rid of him for you @wind onyx @split yew

I re-freshed my paper-spigot 1.16.5 world recently keeping the same ip address. The goal is to make it a cross-play at some point. I didn't understand anything about it and misunderstood the basics. I started the new world as a bukkit then learned it needs to start as a java. I switched to paper, then spigot-paper a couple of times. I hope to keep something that allows me to run geyser & floodgate, as well as, worldedit, worldguard and some other popular plugins. Would it be better to restart the world since I changed so many times? Will changing types slow the server down? Please let me know I should move this question to general-plugins.

Hey, so I’m working on a SMP dedicated server with a few other people, and were trying to run 1.17 on it, but we seem to be experiencing a large amount of chunk lag with our server.

We have a really beefy setup, and have tried several different server jars. (Spigot, vanilla, paper [experimental], & fabric + lithium mod)

Our machine:
AMD Threadripper (allocating 16 cores)
32gb ram

The server runs inside of a Linux VM, and uses openJDK 16

We do have the chunk render set to 16, but we also had the same settings for 1.16 and it worked fine. (Also a side note, we rarely used more than 10/32gb ram)

Testing with 8~ players The TPS is constantly running at 19.9-20, but chunks don’t load more than 2 in front of you if everyone is spread out.

What we have found, is that whenever everyone is still, and staying in their area it seems fine, and the processing load seems to even out between the 16 cores (about 10-15% each, depending on what we’re doing), however whenever chunks start to be loaded (or to a greater extent, generated) most of the process gets pushed onto one core, forcing it to spike up to 100%, and every other core would drop to 1-2%, slowing the generation & loading of chunks down

I guess my TLDR question is, is there any way to not force all of the processes onto one core when chunks are being loaded, or if anyone knows any fixes to help this issue (also saw it in 1.16, but to a lesser extent) please either share it here, or in dms, if you have any questions dm me, we could really use some help in getting this setup properly. (If I had to guess it’s something with how our environment is setup, but this is my first time not doing this through a host)

I used command panels and made something similar to what you're looking for. I made mine /rankcolor that opens a GUI and has dyes/icons that are buttons with the corresponding color.

It changes the rank color and I also added a permission node for /rankcolor using command panels too.

Example: /rankcolor -> opens gui -> clicks light blue -> luckperms user name setprefix 1 "&a&lLORD &a"

@old anvil one thing is your hoster for your vps is also hosting other clients vps on that same machine. If they some how they figure out that you paid someone to ddos their hardware and it stops their clients services then they can press legal charges on you
