i think paper has some optimizations for mob ai, so you could try switching to that and messing with the configs

it shouldn't mess with any plugins if that's what you mean

paper is supposed to offer near perfect compatibility with existing spigot setups

my main concern would be regarding player farms, paper's optimizations change mob ai to reduce lag but part of that is changing behavior when players are far away from the mobs - so there's a chance some large farms might not work depending on your settings
