We're having issues with players' inventories clearing at every login. I don't have any plugin settings that should tamper with clearing inventories, except separate My_Worlds inventories, but in-game they work, until the player disconnects and reconnects.

The odd thing is it doesn't happen to me, even when I'm deop'd.

I went through the server log and found the players log in with a different entity ID each time. Maybe this is normal, idk:

What do you recommend as an addition to the server economy to keep players active?

A few days ago I started thinking about making a new Minecraft server:
I'm faced with two options;

Make a server modded with Forge/Fabric and in a first time with a configuration in CurseForge that I would share, and in a second time, make a launcher that people would download in order to connect to my server.
The problems are as follows:

• Mods can contain errors and can be difficult to fix.
• People may not want to download yet another launcher, not to mention possible launcher problems, and if we're basing this on a CurseForge configuration, future players may not want to download the launcher, redo the configuration etc... In practical terms, I don't think it will attract as many players as the second option.

Make a Vanilla server with Plugin, so that everyone can join with the official Minecraft launcher.
The problems are as follows:

• Plugins don't allow as much configuration as mods, especially in terms of UI. (I'd like the server to be simple, but the added stuff to be really well done: no messing about with plugins done in an afternoon / mods done in an afternoon).
• Plugins don't allow you to create new blocks or new mechanics, or only with great difficulty.

I'd be curious to hear your opinion on what to choose between these two options, whether you prefer a radically different Minecraft Vanilla experience with new mechs etc... or staying in a Vanilla universe with a few more mechs without doing a complete overhaul.

However, recently playit has been acting strangely and I have been unable to access worlds. Is there any software with the same functionality? If possible, it would be nice if the address could be fixed.
Another question: is it possible to completely transfer the world data from the Bedrock Edition server to the Java version?
Is there a way to allow players to transfer their belongings data to the Java version?

so I am experiencing regular crashes with this message "net.minecraft.ReportedException: Accessing LegacyRandomSource from multiple threads"
A previous suggestion I got was: to remove plugins until I found which is causing the issue.
There are multiple Problems with that:

1. We have no clue when that happens, and what Users do to cause that.
2. Almost all Plugins we have are important, we can't just remove them.
3. Testing it in a different Testing Environment, has so far, lead to no crashes so we also can't reproduce it (well because we don't know what players do)

We have ruled out that it was being done intentionally, most likely a Plugin that was updated (we recently updated from 1.18.2 to 1.20.1) changed something that causes these crashes.

What are my options? We need to figure it out.

Maybe there is a way to let the server dump all threads and their stacktraces upon crash?
Its worth noting: The Server doesn't instantly die, once the crash report is generated, all plugins actually shutdown normally and the world is also being saved

Hi, ive been directed here from discordSRV. Im having issues getting team color player names to display on minecraft in game chat. the teams are set up correctly. ive been troubleshooting all morning and all the faqs and reddits i have found are a few years out of date. many people seem to think its a plugin (probably discordSRV) causing the colors not to display. i was advised to change the ''use vanilla chat: true/false" line in paper.yml to true. i have done this and no effect. has anyone else encountered this? know a fix? or can direct to a page that deals with the issue? many thanks

Hey guys. So, I'm having an issue with my minecraft launcher. I'm trying to run controllable and complementary shaders at the same time, but I cannot run both. It only allows me to run one or the other.
I'm really stumped on what to do right now, as I've got it working properly in the past.
On top of this, I cannot seem to find any information on why this is happening or what to do to fix this.
It's like the launcher is using different mod loaders to run the game.

I just don't understand why, if all the mods are in the same directory, why the launcher can only load them separately.

If your OS/Application doesn't support it, it's probably considerably old

I don't think Minecraft Bedrock uses different ones but I've only used it with v4

Yeah cause 2 applications are listening and both are responding to whatever you're sending. But before that happens you'll see the error that the port is already bound to

how do you successfully get players? I really want to open up a community ive been working on for a long time now. Survival, semi-vanilla, with some custom plugins that add just the right amount of flair to the game without going too far. I just don't know how to get people? I tried minehut as a proxy, it was a waste of money. you get a lot of traffic but its always terrible humans and very few of them even stay in long enough for the world to load in.

Hey @placid finch, these days TikTok is the go-to for growing your server. If it’s something you can do edits for, it’s worthwhile - otherwise you could always hire someone to do them depending on your budget.

You’ve got server lists too, like CurseForge Servers (if you use Tebex). Make sure to setup reasonable voting rewards too.

Then I’d recommend a platform like https://analyse.net/ to track where your players are coming from, which website is making you the first money etc.

Then you’ll be more confident about spending rather than blindly.

Bias here as I am the developer of Analyse (it’s free) but it’s owned by Tebex and used by the biggest names around.
