It's not my server. A lot of servers are making it to where you can join without a subdomain, including one of my buddy's. For whatever reason, it won't let me connect to any of them

Hi! We're having some issues with out server overloading quite a lot when several players (can be just 3-4) are online at the same time. I've spoken to our server hosting staff who explained it has to do with chunk loading.
We have a 2GB ram server which seemed like enough for us since we're only ever around 2-4 players online at the same time with a max of like 15. We also have quite a few plugins, which some of them has crashed the server before but that's understandable. Anyone know what I can do to prevent this from happening so frequently? I'm just the admin so I can't really make the call to upgrade the RAM on my own

Aah I see! On our hosting site it says 2GB is 'the best' for a v1.19+.
Would you say 4-5 is enough for like 6-7 players to be on at the same time? We had an event today with 8, and I think it crashed like 5 times lol

Should be but it depends on the play style of your players. You could also use plugins like "Chunky" to render portions of your world so they aren't filling up your memory.

Its a 20 second delay if you run past versions of spigot.
If you have that param in your startup there is no delay.

Cloudflare Spectrum is such a fucking scam. They charge specifically for data usage, and only tell you in the little itty-bitty small print on the Spectrum page. On top of that, when you cancel a subscription some time prior to the next billing invoice, they will charge you anyway for any data usage after the day you requested cancellation. So they just fucking assume you're going to manually swap off of Spectrum rather than not generate an invoice. And this is in addition to the already $20 monthly fee just for having the ability to use Spectrum.

Was working fine all the way through 2022 up until June when for some reason updating Paper caused the prevent-proxy-connections to suddenly work, as setting it to true had previously done nothing.

So now all of my players can't connect through the VPS due to this issue, so I remove the VPS. Right before I figure out what was causing it and put the VPS back on, the furry shows back up and my network gets donged for a solid 2 months until I moved back to a provider in July.

It's a deflector shields plugin for moving ships, and using something like a falling block would result in those blocks messing with the ship structure
