yeah

when you click outside your inventory the "clicked inventory" is null so you can check off that

you can also check on the "clicked slot" which seems to be below 0, it's -999 in the case of papermc but it might be different on other jars

downside of course is that only one plugin can do this for each inventory view or they interfere

i wouldn't rely on the clicked slot being below 0, I think it's -1 when pressing F to swap with the off-hand?
