btw, to come back to my addon's chat feature here's some parts of the default config of the chat feature if you want to get an idea of what it looks like
it has a lot of things, which can make it a bit complex and difficult to understand
to sum it up a bit, you have multiple chat formats with a condition each, which are checked starting from the one specified in default-format, then it will check for the one in if-condition-not-met and continue to check
each chat format can have a condition (to determine whether you can talk in the chat iwth this format), a view-condition (to determine whether other players can see your message), a channel (can be useful if you want 2 chat formats to have different formats but want players to still talk together)
then you have the components, for example a prefix component, a nametag component, a suffix and a msg one, (to like, cut of different parts of the text, if you want different hover msgs or click events)
what's shown, there's the text part with %msg% to display the player's message,
the message when you hover,
a command that you can execute or suggest or an url to open
all support TAB's and PAPI's placeholders,

and then there's the Item feature to display the item you have in hand, with for example [item] or [i], you can display a different msg based on the amount of items, if you have 1,multiples or nothing
there's a message-cooldown option in seocnds, or milliseconds I don't remember what I did there x), with a permission to bypass it
you have a mention feature to, for example, display a player's name in another color and send him a custom sound

there's a Command system
that was easier to do that I would have expected tbh
you can just add a command in the commands section, put a condition to define whether the user can use that command or not, for example checking if the player has a permission (conditions are a TAB feature btw, forgot to mention)
then you can add a dispaly name to the command and set the chat format you want to switch to when executing the command
so for example, by default I'm in the default chat format, with the /staffchat you'll be able to switch to the staffchat chat format if you have the tab.staff permission, and upon executing the command once more, it will go back to default chat format

the feature also add a /msg command that can be customized by making a msg format and a msgSender, the first one will be displayed to the player that receives the message, and rhe second will be displayed to the player who sends the message
and to end it all, there's the emoji feature, which allows you to replace any input into whatever you want, for example you can replacea <3 into a heart emoji
and you can also enable the config option below to prevent players to use emojis directly if they don't have the permissions, so if you use a heart emoji while not having the permission for the emoji, it will turn back into <3
