Nope, MiniMOTD is still one of the best plugins I know. My plugin is primarily made for adding these images. You can technically even use Pictogram and MiniMOTD together due to MiniPlaceholders.

MiniMOTD has more settings regarding player counts, server-icons, etc. Pictogram doesn't offer that yet. There is Velocity support though.
