and many times the servers just shutdown randomly as well after running for 5 months or so and then the guy who ran it just open or join another server, similar to those summer hosts you could say

I don’t have too much input to give on this but based on my experience, arcane has handled freelancers very well

I also highly doubt with their rep and connections they’d purposefully be stealing money from people, it just doesn’t make sense

I haven’t personally seen other people with a similar experience either, but with the case of Omer's stuff, just seems like a safety measure, not their money being held from them 🤷

yeah the server I was working on (still am ig) also had PayPal, I did the integration for it and somewhat managed it
honestly PayPal (for business) is just garbage. we had to reverify multiple times, also a lot of players did a ton of false chargebacks, where PayPal would favor them if we didnt provide any proof, after some time there were so many chargebacks that we would lose money even trying to dispute them

in the end we just closed it because it wasn't really sustainable. the server wipes/restarts every 4-5 months, the chargeback can be made within 1 year iirc, after the restart some players decide they want their money back and then we just rack up a ton of disputes for no reason

also this practice is (in theory) more secure. the impact is way smaller if the temporary access token is compromised. also short lived/derived tokens are usually used with smaller scope and are more flexible in that regard

and i always say this, to have a secure api key, you must first:

1. give 2 temp keys & send back 2 keys
2. when sending the keys, they must be encrypted and the backend would decrypt it (so yes, a encryption in the dashboard)
   it's not effective but at least should, let's say, you, expose 1 of your keys, you're still good until they figure out the second key
   if you expose both keys not encrypted, at least they need to know what the encryption are
   if you expose both key encrypted, gg ur career

@errant surge i work on a similar system, if you're planning to have the screen rotate actively, use Teleportation packets instead of Transformation rotation! it looks much better when you have layered elements rotating around a central point since it uses a different pivot than the transformation matrix. they can both represent the same thing but they interpolate differently

though you can solve this problem in other ways probably

Also, if you value your sanity, do not try to use Spigots Dialog API.
Not only is that stuff limited (i.e. you can't have a PlainText Dialog body with an item display. Only text because BungeeCord), but can be an absolute nightmare in various places
