all these services like playit.gg, ngrok, etc give you a nice protected domain on their own ip address, and secretly tunnel the traffic to your house so you can still host the server software

but nginx is just a (reverse) proxy software without any ip or domain that you can use to hide your home ip, so it by itself is not enough

it also only works for http traffic afaik so it cant be used for games
