Go to the server settings, select the everyone or any roles that available. Check "Use External Apps", turn it off it it on.

This happened to most servers in Discord. That's the only to fix it, Discord being stupid for adding it as default for everyone and all servers.

Also, check the channels. Most channels has "Use External Apps" turned on.

yesterday I turned the PC to "sleep" mode, before going to sleep myself.
also before putting it into sleep mode I noticed there were pending updates ("Update and Shutdown", "Update and Restart"), but I decided not to update

today I woke up and noticed the PC is running.
does Windows 10 just randomly decide when to update the PC?

I don't normally use sleep but I did a few times and when I went to check the laptop it was extremely hot for being on while inside the backpack

yeah, I had this issue with my work laptop running ubuntu

I would put it to sleep and the fans would just keep spinning at max speed lol

I don't know for long I was battling this issue with my PC, had to disable "Allow this device to wake the computer" on most of my peripherals in device manager

oddly enough, even with it disabled I am still able to use my keyboard/mouse to wake it up lol

though seems like it doesn't randomly awake anymore (except this one time)

my theory is spigot is old and bloated

im saying that out of a void cause its entirely a guess

It's more explained in their forum post, but basically, right now they have to wait for Spigot to publish their releases before they can update. This takes a lot of time, as Spigot doesn't publish versions for RCs or Snapshots, so Paper has to wait for the release and see what mess they have to fix again.
With a hard fork do they no longer wait on Spigot updating, allowing them to faster push updates and even do versions for snapshots and RCs of MC, which can benefit plugin developers, as they can much earlier update for new versions, making the updating process a lot less painful to do here.

• they can eventually remove old, unusable stuff that Spigot still keeps for unexplainable reasons.
