This is the only way to show the player if the item they are looking is weaker/equal/stronger compare to equipped item. It also can be red if it is weaker

hmm i get it now, the green bonus just seems to me like saying "stronger than your current gear", when it is your current gear. so the same color green has two different meanings, and theyre very close together

im just nitpicking, it is definitely good how it is, but for item attributes green means "stronger than current", whereas for bonus it means "any positive effect". So if you're wearing another item with a higher bonus, the one with the weaker bonus will still be green text

Well, full on anticheat with command blocks is technically impossible.
You could probably do some movement or reach checks, but that's basically it.
You couldnt really do anything combat related, couldn't check for things like timer, fastbreak, fastplace, etc.

OHHH HO HOH OHO. This is a very intresting statement/topic.

I think it’s important to first define what your term of “successful” is. Is it money or passion based? A lot of good mmorpgs nowadays I see in mc don’t do it for money because MMORPGs are a very delicate kind of genre you want to get right and you’d want a group of passionate people to do it and not paid people. It is also generally really hard to maintain and start because of how much resources you need for it. because of this I agree that A TON of mmorpg projects nowadays in mc aren’t really doing anything new and are just reinventing the same wheel, but they also don’t have much of a choice because there is also of basic foundations you need to make it work first.

Wynncraft is a really good MMORPG and was the first ever game or server that I’ve spent countless hours on, but now with so many new servers with new technology, there is definitely a opportunity for a new MMORPG to come into the market. (I despise Hypixel SB). But like I said, it’s really hard to start, and Minecraft is starting to be a lot more like a market and actual business instead of people doing it for fun and so it’s really hard now. But I believe there is still some crazy shit you can do that is generally really intresting.

Some projects like Megido is an amazing mc souls-like rpg and it may not be successful in terms of profits, but man it is a fun rpg and I genuinely appreciate a lot of the team there. I mean listen to the OST, Ben is one of the best noteblock composers I’ve ever seen. Others could be said for Monumenta, SF or other possible MMORPGs.

But I think one person we’re facing nowadays is finding people who has genuine interest in MMORPGs and aren’t just like making a ripoff version like what people do with egg wars and whatnot, and actually making a cool project that is unique. So a lot of people are hesitant to help because of that.

To me, Waxeria (Ducky Obyvante’s server) is unique in that it’s using Minestom. First time I have to see a Minestom project being properly maintained and successful, and also why servers where the owner is a dev is most likely the ones to succeed. I also think the effort to make it look nice with the uis and environment, using the new technology is pretty nice as well. Wynncraft is a really cool roundabout MMORPG friendly to everyone. A project completely made by volunteers and a chill community, and one of the first MMORPG servers to have cool stuff like they do. But a really boring endgame, but a really fun early game. And it’s min-maxing being gear based which is different from other MMORPGs on actual game engines. Monumenta is mostly a community driven project and it tries to use the more traditional MMOPRG approach with a vanilla twist. Hypixel SB… grind.

Anyways, idk why i just made a whole discussion on this, ig it just seemed intresting and wanted other people’s opinion on it.
